Hey Guys, Just thought I would post up my future re-build for the Mazda.. The subs will be Sundown Sa 12's.. I have decided that I'm done with the whole wall thing.. Let me know what you think.. And if anyone wonders how i intend to mount the subs, this is the idea i have come up with.. An access panel..I will be using weather stripping under the panel to make it air tight..

Now i don't condone riding through your nieghboorhood and constantly pound your subs just because your can and feel like being a meanie. I'm sure alot of you have tickets for loud music, but i was wondering. Have any of you tried to fight them, or just paid them? I'm thinking if the cop comes up to you and starts talking about the music. Aslong as you don't open up your trunk and just agree with him WITHOUT admitting to the crime, and lead the cop to believe you will just pay the ticket. Technically if you plan on defeneding that ticket you could tell the judge. I don't know why he gave me this ticket, but i'd never argue with a cop. -I was not playing really loud music …

I'm trying to come up with an idea for front stage that can keep up with four eighteens and sound clean and crystal clear doing so. Imaging as accurate as possible. I've heard many times that multi speaker setups throw staging out the window, for example, six eights in your door. I'm ideally picking up a tahoe, as opposed to another blazer like I originally planned, and while I'm waiting I'm drawing up plans for the next build. Alright so i need abit of help here, my mate is looking into buying the HDC3 15" sub, and after reading some reviews he is not to sure about getting it now because in the reviews they state it gets real loud, but has no sq what so ever or a very little amount of sq. is this true ?? do the hdc3's sound bad ? I'm driving along and hammering down on the system and my car is jerking to the beat (cmon,minds out of the gutter now). It's like I'm doing the so called "gas brake dip". It's pretty fucked up and I'm not enjoying it at all. Anyway, I drive a 09 yaris sedan and I recently put a 320 amp DC Power alt in. I didn't have this problem w/ the stock alt, but then again, I wasn't nearly as loud. What I'm wondering is what is going on and what could I possibly break by doing this on a regular basis? Do you think that a company should replace a blown woofer when the install used the factory recommended specs for a sealed enclosure size and the recommended power with no clipping??? Just wondering

I have the oppurtunity to use stainless steel bolts for grounds on a project i am working on. i have read that stainless is not generally a good conductor of electricity. I want to run stainless because on this truck the bolts will see some weather. So i figure i would use stainless to help combat the rust and corrosion regular steel bolts and nuts see. So what do the Gods and Gurus think? Stainless for grounds like for air compressors and amplifiers? Large relocated battery grounds to frame and cab with stainless bolts or should i just go and buy regular bolts and deal with rust and crap later?

soooo iv been on sonic and been looking for cea amps.. kicker most fostgate amp are cea compliant. most jl amps are not iv always heard they put out rated power and have the best sq. am i missing something sonic is wrong or im not informed correctly?

I have a Ford Ranger Super cab and over the past 5 or 6 years I've owned two Shivas. I have always powered them with the same amp I used for SPL...MTX Thunder 6500D in parallel for a two ohm load (rated on the 'paper' at 402 w/rms at 4ohms and 611 w/rms at 2 ohm).The first one I had in a downfiring box in the center of the extended cab (over the hump). The most current one I had in a really small box (built to take up less room). I never had problems with the downfiring one, even though my little cousin once pushed the dust cap almost completely in...and then I had air leaks so I permanently sealed it in the box...hey, it was already ugly. I recently purchased a new car, one that I would actually be proud to put some money into and I am looking into buying some subwoofers for some extra thump when it comes to my car's audio system. I am on a tight budget knowing I am a college student. I would not mind having two subwoofers, but I know that would be extra money, so even just one sub with an amp would make me very happy. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good sub and amp. I dont need top of the line equipment, I just want a sub with some good sound that wont hurt my pocketbook too much. Thanks guys!

I was thinking of getting 2 SSA Zcon 18's.. im tring to keep a budget, so for now i was gonna run a Hifonics Brutus 2400.1 on each sub until i can afford better amps...The are supposedly CEA certified.. any thoughts???? Are they worth a crap?

What is the difference between frequency and hertz, did a search and found nothing on the subject? Or are they the same thing?

Granted there are 2 types of consumption even in comp there are definite demarcations to power limits. With the introduction of 3k, 4.5k, 10k and strap-able options where does a person draw the line which is akin to Jumping the Shark?
