will probly be getting 2 aq hdc3 15 subs. what amp should i use with these and what else would i need.

Hey guys im new to the forum and just have a few questions i need help getting answered. I have 2 fi ssd 10s 2ohm dvc and i have about 220 dollars to spend on an amp. Im pretty much looking for a used amp. What amps could i find that will put out around 1200 to 1600 watts used for around 200 to 220? But if im mostly looking for a 1600 watt amp for around that price Also what are the best places to buy a cheap wiring kit that will handle that power? Hey guys, Im new to SSA and car audio in general. I have been doing a little bit of research but would like to have other opinions. My question is in your opinion what is the best deck, speaker, and amp set up for around 500. Sorry if i am a noob but i had to ask. I am getting really tired of the speakers i have now in my Jeep Liberty, they absolutely suck and i have to iPod hook-up so it is time to get some new equipment. hey guys I'm doing a trunk build with Subs forward and port to sealed off well my question is my seat don't fold down I took it out and behind the seat there is an x frame metal from going in the trunk so does that give strength to car or can I cut it off need help

you guys think its worth rewiring the factory wires on the door speakers with new 16 or 18g?..do they all have to be wired to the front and then to the back ?..do they have to be wired together on a specific side for noise reduction?..thanks for the help i curently have them wired to the hu will be putting a 100 watts into each of them with a 400.4

So looking into amps to power my speakers and tweeters but Im wondering if the high/low pass filters vs the frequency response of the amp actually affects the speakers and tweeters. Since the High pass is only 50-200Hz does this affect anything. I an almost ready to purchase my pair of 18 in zcons. FTW! I'm still debating on what amp(s) to use for them. Any thoughts? Opinions? Statements? Etc? I'm thinkin SAZ 4500 if I can find one used. Maybe even Crescendo 's line but I haven't seen what they have out recently. I don't do competitions, this setup is just for show and enjoyment. But I want some bang in my car. I installed a Optima yellow top battery as my second battery. I previously had a 4 farad Cap in the trunk and the power wire was ran from the main battery to a 0 gauge splitter and 4 gauge was ran from the splitter to the Cap and the Sundown SAX1200d. I removed the Cap and added the battery in the same spot(I added a 150A fuse to the 4 gauge run from the splitter to the secondary battery). Should I run the 0 gauge wire coming from the main battery directly the second battery or is it fine the way it is? Again I have the batteries fused with 400A total between the 2.

Ive been looking into subs for a few months now and i still dont understand alot of it. just got my liscence and am bound to get a car soon. basically i want something that would be really really loud but i dont have unlimited money. i litsen to pretty much all rap and hip-hop. i was lookin at getting one 15" btl cause it seems like one of the best out there. if i were to get this what would you recomend as far as an enclousure and amp and anything else. if you think theres a better sub or something different i should get im up for all suggesrtions. thanks in advance

Hey guys i currently have a Memphis m3 15 and a pr500 amp in a 4.3cuft box ported @ 34hz. Im either going to pick up a sundown sae-1200d or a saz-1500d amp next and im wonering what sub would be a good match in the 12-1500w range. Im mainly looking for eye blurring ear hurting bass and the m3 just aint cutting it. also im looking to spend around 350 for the sub.

Some of this was leftover in a subwoofer enclosure that came as part of my interior swap. 4 pairs of wire probably about 18 gauge braided, no outer jacket. i was wondering if it is something they did by hand at the shop or if i can buy a roll?

I'm looking for the best way to make the audio inside quieter on the outside. if that makes sense... I want to isolate the sound so with the windows up you cant hear the music playing inside as easily. Right now im trying to focus on the midrange as that seems to be the "worst". I currently have the midrange in the stock location with damp covering 95% of both door panels. Right now im building door pods but the midrange is still going to be IB so that should help somewhat but not as well as a sealed pod. Do you think adding second skin overkill to the outer door panel would help at all? any other ideas?

I've been using a sub & box combo that I picked up at a local car audio store a few years ago to get me by and have recently begun thinking about upgrading. So I've been reading up and just trying to educate myself on the matter and tonight I went out to try and calculate the box volume and tune of the ports. Just wondered if I figured this out right. I used a calculator here (the vent length calculator at the bottom). I had the vent length so I swapped frequencies in and out until I got one to match. Here's what I know. The box contains 2 10s. So i was just rear ended 2 hours ago at a red light. I have a 2004 chevy blazer and was the first in my lane at a red light. the guy next to me jumped and the girl behind me floored it in her dodge stratus. When it happened, my door speakers popped and do not work anymore. the fuses are all good, my amp still works as do my subs. So, i'm thinking about buying some raw drivers from Parts express and trying myself at an active 2 way since i have a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS. Anyone have any good suggestions for under $200 total? Well I've been away from car audio atleast 2 to 3 years. Not sure what is new if anything. I've got a system right now. A single 10 inch re sx mated to a usamps md1d set to 1ohm so about 1000 watts. I'm actually looking to get rid of it and go more towards sq but know nothing towards that. What's a sq sub? Does it matter on amps? Box wise I know sealed box is best. I've seen these soundqubed and skar are they any good? Don't really have an idea on budget but as always cheaper is better and I'm looking to sell my system probably.
