hey guys......i am looking into a new sub setup.......going too take it back to JL i believe this time....first off i have 2 zed audio miniliths......the subs im interested in are the 12w7 or 13w7......... the 13w7 is a dual 1.5 vc sub and the 12w7 is a singl voice coil 3ohm sub. ............ how would u all reccomend me wiring these subs and about how much power would i be getting in you alls reccomendations......thanks and could u all map out the reccom-mended wiring for the strapping or whatever......thanks guys mini spec's: Typical Continuous Output power into1 ohm 600wx1 Typical Continuous Output Power into 2 ohm 400wx1 Typical Continuous Output Power into 4 ohm 200w…

Hi everyone, I need some advice! I recently took out my Zed Gladius w/Burr Brown to send it in for repair. I have the chance to buy a Zed Deuce without the B.Brown upgrade. Would there be a difference in SQ between the two amps? I know the Deuce has more power, so it might be better overall for my comps. I'm running a set of DLS UP6i's with the passive crossovers, which is rated at 150 wrms, 180 wmax. Does the Burr Brown make much of a difference, or will the extra power (without BB) make my comps sound better? I know it'll get louder, but I'm worried about the SQ. What would you guys recommend? Just got back from vacation in Mexico and had chance to catch up on my reading, including the new issue of PAS. Having already bought a couple of these amps, based on the first killer review, all I can say now is, Wow, just wow! I am way happy with my Leviathans, esp for the money, and am glad that the guy from PAS was totally impressed too, but not surprised in the least... i currently have a us acoustics USA4050 (50x4 @ 4 ohms) running my mids and tweets active, and it just isnt enough power for them. my mids are 8 ohm coils. unless i find a good deal on a big power, small footprint amp, i'll be picking up either a USA4080 (80x4 @ 4, 240x2 4 ohm bridged) or a USA2150 (2x150 @ 4 ohm) to run the mids, and bridge the 4050 to my tweets. how would those 2 options compare efficiency wise? the 4080 bridged would run the 8 ohm mids with a lot more headroom than the 2150 right? how does running 2 amps for my mids/tweets compare in efficiency to running one big amplifier with dual power supplies, along the lines of a DD S4 or a zuki eleets? any zed …

I am sure this is an easy one. I don't even know if it's a dumb question but ... On the ZED Leviathan amp, what is the FLAT button on Channels 5+6? What does it do on and off? I see it has something to do with running channels five and six in low pass, but that's the extent of my knowledge as to what that button does. TIA

I've heard on another forum that ZED makes the CDT SQ amplifiers. Is this true? If it is true what kind of performance can I expect from these? Should I consider using these amps for my front stage over Rockford T line or Zapco reference line? and why?

My son just picked up an ESX q60.4 and a q175.2 yesterday. Has anyone ever had either of these benched? What realistic power do they put out? How about with upgrades?

Like the title says....I have a question for those running or have owned an ESX amp. ESX Q275.2 is on my Icon 10. The Icon is d2 and wired for 4 ohms in bridged mode at the amp. The bridged mode is rated at 800 watts.The hu is an Eclipse CD8454 with a pre out voltage rating of 8 volts. My issue is setting the gain. With well recorded media ....(No Ipod) Only high quality cd's....I feel my gain is too high to obtain the right output. Yes I fully realize that the gain is not a volume knob. I also realize that I could get my answer with a dmm but I don't have one at the moment. So my situation is...8 volt hu....Amp gain is at 3/4 of the dial. I have been pla…

I bought one...its a little rough but is supposed to do 200x2 @ @ohms...400x1 ....pretty small....anyone use them? I am also looking at a NAK PA502 50x2 .....are these ZED NAK's better than or same as all the rest of the ZED made stuff? I know damn near for a fact that the Planet Audio amp by Zed was better than the US Acoustics I once had...... anyhow... I got some Zeds again...

Who said they are big? The fit right under the seat. One of the amp is bridged currently powering a single ID8, wired in 8 ohm. It's pretty loud but goes into protection rather quickly if bass boost is used. I am going to add another ID8 to run them 4ohm mono to get the best out of it. I'm in the market for a new amp to go in the house, and I got to thinking... Anyone know if Steve ever had his hand in making any home audio amplifiers? I know he does A LOT of contracting and designing for other companies and I figured he must have made some over the years. I'll probably give him a shout during the week and ask him personally, but thought someone on here might know as well. I'd love to have a Zed amp in the house.

I used to have one of the 2300s which was later stolen. I am looking into finding another and decided maybe someone here could help me. If I fail to find one I am probably going to go for the Zed's "The duece". Anyone have any recommendations or info? Dave
