ZED Audio

I'm getting ready to run this on a set of midbasses, it used to push the hell out of some Orion XTR's. I love it, just wanting some info. Any you may have... Thanks.

Stephen, What do you remember about the Cadence amps you designed in the 90's? Did these amps have anything particular about them (design, technology) that you were trying at the time? Also, did you build the amps or just design them and have Cadence build them? As always, thank you for your time and knowledge.

I am not listing in the for sale forum (nor able to) my Zed Deuce and Draconia amps with Burr Brown upgrades here. They are both being put on ebay. Just for anyone who might be interested. Just to let everyone know I sent in two amps to Zed to be repaired. It took over 2 months to get them back. They moved to a new location during that time. I did finally get them back this last week. They work like new now. I guess it was worth the wait. I still love the sound quality of their amplifiers. Just with the length of time with no contact with them I thought everyone else should know about it.

It's an '87 amp. I bought this amp several years ago for ten bucks, along with a buttload of old tapes and some wireless house speakers from my girlfriend's boss. Didn't have a use for it, and sold it to my cousin with a first run RF HE 8" sub. I now have the sub and amp back. Is this amp, in fact, a Zed amp?

hey guys! new to forum but need some help I have an Autotek 7600 bts grey body and blue label amplifier. I had to have blown something inside this thing because evry time i put in a fuse it blows it. It is more like a dead short. I have had this amp for a long time and absolutely love it and dont really want to throw it in the grave yard. do you guys know maybe what could be wrong with it? Also do you guys know of anyone who would still want to fix this thing. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks T

Hi Stephen, Are you still manufacturing these series of amps for Nakamichi? Namely, PA 2004, 2002 and 8004? How are these amps as compared to their recent batch of MIC amps?

Who said they are big? The fit right under the seat. One of the amp is bridged currently powering a single ID8, wired in 8 ohm. It's pretty loud but goes into protection rather quickly if bass boost is used. I am going to add another ID8 to run them 4ohm mono to get the best out of it. Did Zed audio move locations???

I found a amp I've never heard of.. Its a J.A.B special edition and the guy says its a ZED built amp. The quality looks very nice but can someone sheed some light on this for me? I have pics but don't know how to post them.

I am a little unclear as to what exact Lanzar amps were built by Zed Audio. I understand they were the OptiDrive ones but there are several different Optis. Anyone have any info and/or pics? Thanks!

Does anyone know when Zed started putting in different mosfets in the minilith? I bough a mini but havnt recieved it. Steve told me they changed the fets to higher voltage ones at one point. He told me you cant see the parts unless you remove the clips with special tool. I asked if you could tell date by serial but havnt heard back on that and dont know if I will. I just want the mini to be all it can be.. I dont want to send it to Zed for nothing though. I would think serial # would tell ...anyone know? or anyone with newer version can you tell me what your number is?

What's the best ZED subwoofer made?

Just found this guy's channel on youtube. Just thought it would be interesting to look at. As there isn't many ZED builds here on the forum.

I've heard on another forum that ZED makes the CDT SQ amplifiers. Is this true? If it is true what kind of performance can I expect from these? Should I consider using these amps for my front stage over Rockford T line or Zapco reference line? and why?

Are the current Nakamichi amplifiers made by Zed?

Does Zed still make Nakimichi amps? I saw they just came out with some new amps, and wondering if Zed made them.

can someone tell me how rare these amps are, and what kinda power it really makes, it zed so we all know its underated. going to run a nice set of cdt hd6.1s on it. i know its a 6 ch. just found a deal on it, and i a sucker for zed goodness

im looking at this ebay auction with 4 old alphasonik amps. on the zed website it says that zed built amps for alphasonik in the mid 80s but im not sure these are that old. can anyone help me out? this old alphasonik ended the other day, i wasnt sure about it either but it was definately older than the above ones.

I used to have one of the 2300s which was later stolen. I am looking into finding another and decided maybe someone here could help me. If I fail to find one I am probably going to go for the Zed's "The duece". Anyone have any recommendations or info? Dave
