i can't find it anywhere, where do you all buy your polyfill?

Help Please. I want to build a ported box for 4 FI 15" BTL's Currently I have a 9 Cuft box with 2 FI 15" BTL's. Each sub in it's own enclosure. FI suggests 3-5 Cuft per sub. Can I make just one box for all 4 with one port? Or do I make a box that seperates all 4 or two? I like the sound with 4.5 Cuft per sub. I am also lost on the port area if I make one 18 Cuft box for all 4. Really appreciate your suggestions here. Thanks, JR

Hey all.Ive decidied since my trunk is so small im going to do what ive always wanted to do.Wall my car.I have a 2001 galant and was wondering if it would be worth the money to wall it.I will use my 2 15" american bass xfl subs and my planet audio bb2 2400rms.I have a friend thats saying it wouldnt be worth walling because its not a hatchback car.So is he correct or would it be worth it? I will do some competing but I mainly want to be as louad as possible on music.

Ok I got my new install done which consist of 2 15 xcons facing cabin in a sealed box, ran off a crescendo BC 3500. My question is will it be a significant gain in output if I go with a ported box instead. Only reason we went sealed was shortage in trunk space given space we had enough for opt sealed enclosure. Any info?

hey, i am familiar with both ported and sealed boxes. but im not sure what is better, i know that ported boxes hit cleaner and i know ported you will have more spl. but i heard that with ported you get cone distoration and the sub hits sloppier. im just wondering what your specs are? thanks

heya... i would like to know how close can a sub(magnet) come the back side .... ..(if the sub is 10" ... can the depth of the box be 16 > or if the sub is 18" ... can the width be 19" ) ...can it effect the sound ..?

Hey Guys, i'm sorta new to the forum so do bash me too hard I am designing an enclosure for a 21" Death Penalty. This is my 4th variation: 8.533^ft, Tuned to 33hz, Kerfed port opening, Double baffle, 1 1/2 Port bracing, 1" Dowel bracing, 121^in of Port. This is going in a 1996 Blazer, Port faced towards the hatch. I want it to as good as it can at being "musical", do you think it will sould all around good with this enclosure? Ok, well I just got a newer vehicle (2001 chevy tahoe). After spending my limit to upgrade my substage, I had my alpine 9831 from about 2-3 years ago die on me. I am thinking I'll get a cda-9887 to replace is since it will be pretty much a drop in change, and I can save some of my older cables. I'm really not that happy with the eq it has, so I'm considering adding one in there. I've never done this before, and while I've been researching it everyone has a different opinion as to what I should look for, so any suggestions will be appreciated. willl be running a rockford fosgate t1500 on a 15" xcon listening to all sorts of music sq over spl but i still wanna move a lil bit of hair if it makes a difference does it make a big difference if the sub is up port back vs both up or both back? its going in a 98 Honda CRV....simular to the picture bellow, id post mine but im having a hard time figuring it out.

I'm starting my first system with 4 of the rl-i8's and need a lil help on my box. it's not gonna be just one big box but 4 seperate ported boxes. each one will be about (acording to the program im using) 10" wide, 15" tall, and 9" deep. im having problems with the port though. the program said it should be 1/2" by 2" by 2" deep for a 35 hz. this sounds way small to me. is it? and does this idea seem good or is it too "over the top."

This H2 Hummer was at the 2003 North of the Border Bash.. it got 143db in the SPL competition.. The guy doesn't compete.. he just wanted to see where he stands in the SPL realm...

Any advice on doing an external port, like how to attach it and are there any negatives to doing this? Im planning on getting 2 sa-8's and putting them under the back seat of my 03 extended cab 1500. I will have the port coming out the side of the box under the seat as well. I plan on making it so I can remove the port to exchange with others, really just to see the difference and also because of size restictions. Box will be 2 cubes after sub displacement, so I will probably do a 5"x6" port 32.5 inches long for 33hz tuning and another one fro 38 or 40 hz. Thanks for any input guys.

Okay so I want to build my own box of time I've had my box built in the past for me. Mostly leaning towards the sq side. I want to build something loud this time. I seen read a lot of stuff on here its got me confused. I did try downloading winid on my laptop but couldn't exactly get it to work right. I left it alone for a couple weeks cuz I had plans on changing my subs but they fell thru. since then my laptop has died and I do not have a way to use that program to figure out what kind of numbers I need. so i need the calculations needed to figure out my problem(or the answers) with this build want it to be a true not done on a online cal.(unless one will give true port cal within a 2hz of needed frequency) box 20h*48*40*d using 6in PVC? thanks to all that have any input for me. its 4 15s and want to tune between 30 to 34hz.

so in a month or 2 i will be starting on my rebuild to run 2 old style XXX15's, 2 sundown saz-1500d's and other goodies i haven't decided yet(sound deading, comps and such). well, what my plan is on running these is to seal my trunk off from the cabin. for the box i want to forward fire it along with the port. from where i see it the baffle will sit 2-3 inches from the rear seat opening. the trunk space i have available is 40" wide, 17" tall, and about 29" deep. though for the size enclosure I'm going for about 6cu before displacement. i believe i have about 8-9cu before displacement total. here is a quick sketch i drew up on a graph paper. each cube length stands for 1" …

got my iCONs in, and im starting a few enclosures.. problem is, im not sure what kind of airspace is optimal.. id rather build 1 or 2 boxes and play with the tuning rather then ad to my collection of T&E boxes.. hoop of the trunk is unbelievably small, so the box might be split into 2 boxes.. ive got a few solid ideas for boxes that have measured out to 2.5 each sub.. should i be shooting for over 3.0??? from DevilDriver's review it seems the subs like the biggest possible enclosure.. il post pics in a few

do aero ports have to be straight or can they have an elbow somewhere in between .. also when designing a box with an aeroport does it need 90 on the edges ?

im trying to fit two lethal injection 15's in a 06 monte carlo. so according to looking to specs they say that i need about 3 cubes min. i was wondering i could fit a box that big in a 37 w , 36 l , 16 1/4 h. i am also open to using aero ports if thats what i have to do to fit the enclosure. thanks for everyones help in advanced

does anyone know if a single sundown audio sa-10 would sound good in a box tune at 45hz ?

can I make a port in a shape of a L and still tune the box too 35 hz. your advise is need badly
