Alright, so my boss finally warming up to the idea of making a wall in his Cavalier for our shop demo car! Now, this isn't 100% going to happen, but I'm excited and want to be ready for when he decides. I know this place has a ton of knowledge, plenty and plenty of people who have made walls. I guess I'm looking for just general rules and/or tips to make sure it will turn out well. Iv decided just to make a normal, flat and vented wall. Leaning towards 4 15's with a nice big slot port on the drivers side. Any tips are welcome of course, thanks guys!

Is there a rule of thumb to tweeter placement (the woofer is going in the stock door location) but the stock Toyota tundra tweeter placement is high in the door, IMO the only place worse is the top of the dash. Anyone from the Long Island NY/NJ/CT Area want to build me a sealed enclosure for 2 12s - or know of anyplace that would? I'm not looking for anything extravagant, just something ~ 1.5 FT^3 per chamber. I don't have the time to do it myself (and I've never made one). Trying to stay away from pre-fab junk. Shipping or Pick-up is cool. Can someone help me out? Thanks, Snapper

Okay I am stuck in VA on Fort A.P. Hill right now and can;t make a new box so thats out for now. My 2 boxes are built for DD9512's and are tuned to 47hz. I want better impact from them. They are facing the back hatch with the ports next to them so it looks like one big ass box with a split port in the middle (if you can follow this). Anyways this is in the back of a 99 Ford Explorer XLT. No sound deadoner yet. Tryign to get more impact in my back. Thinking maybe slide them closer to the gate???? J

After searching for a subwoofer I have decided on the DCON 12" it seems perfect for what I am looking for. My question is regarding the box I saw the recommended plans were 2.25^3 at 30hz I think but I have plans already for a 2.5^3 box tuned for 35hz. Would the sub work well in that box or should I scrap it and just build the recommended one. I also have a 350 watt alpine amp, would it be ok to run the dcon at 350 watts? Thanks in advance for any advice/help. - Alex

  18. Anyone done a fiberglass build in a mazda 6 sedan? I have this idea of putting my 15" ssd in the center, behind the seats, with two 6" aeroports (one on each side of the sub). This would be firing into the cabin. I have my rear seats down 90% of the time, so I would imagine it would sound great. Anyone done it, or know how? I am looking for someone to take on this project for me, as I have never done it, and wouldnt quite say I have the time to do it either.. Anywho, im in Keller Tx and if anyone is interested I am willing to pay. Im looking to stay in the 3.5-4 cu ft. range, tuned at 33-35 hz. Im rocking a 08 mazda 6 sedan (not the cool hatch model). If you need anymore…

I'm considering building a down fire for 2 D-CON 10's. Will be subs down, port back, box against back seat. Going in a Land Rover. I only cosider this because I do use the cargo area often and want keep the subs out of harms way. My question is how much room do I need between the floor and the woofers???? And should I just elevate the box by the end plates or do a 3sided lift leaving only the rear open???? Or is it a bad idea all together???? Is a daily thumper setup.......just want to keep my investment safe.

what you guys suggest? i mostly hear 2.5 net for the 12. power is 2 kx1200.1's strapped, so at least a good 2400w rms. ive already taken all the measurments and everything, this is about 3.8 gross, so i may shorten it a little, leaving me more room for amps on the top. port- what should i tune to? its for rap music. slot? aero? heres sorta what its gonna look like. the yellow will be double 3/4"

Sup guys, first time poster. I have a 2003 dodge dakota regular cab. I have 2 SSD 10" that I have in 2 sealed boxes behind the seat. I am looking to take one out and put 1 ported box for only one sub in. I have the box dimensions that I want just can't figure out where to put the port or how big it needs to be. I have a HiFonics 1600 mono That I am going to be wiring to the sub at 1 Ohm. The box dimension I have came up with will give me 1.25 cubic feet @33Hz. Height = 15 inches Width = 24 inches Depth = 6 inches Please help with port size and location
