Im needing help i only have a phone no computer and I'm wanting a box built for my new soundquebd hds3 12's i got two subs and my dimensions are 30" deep 35"widr and 18"tall wanting it tuned low around 31-30hz I'm also wanting subs on top facing the roof and port facing the back hatch I'm using a 1200.1 super d class mono Zeus amp with big 3 upgrade and 0 gauge wires but I'm unable to access these sketch up things and box calculators so can someone please help a fellow bass head out and please send me a blueprint of this and a cut list of sides and port and everything pretty please b greatly appreciated

ok so i got a 4runner and im running 1000 watts for a skar vvx-10 that should be here in couple days. Howevers i built a box at 1.25 tuned to 30 hertz and too me it seems like a big box just for a single 10, so the question i ask is the box to big or not tune right for my 4runner thanks

I was looking at the 4" flared port tubes. I don't know too much about them but how do you find tuning for your box with them? And how much do they displace?

I'm going to be building an enclosure for a friend here in the next couple of weeks for 4 10's. I drew out the layout of the box on a big piece of paper. The original plan was to have the 4 subs upfiring with the port facing back. However, 2 of the subs are really close to the port opening in the box. I'm just wondering if the subs being as close as they are, if it will affect the way the subs perform. I have an alternate plan to face 2 of the subs upfiring toward the middle of the top baffle, and have 2 rear firing on the same baffle as the port. Does anyone know a formula that can be used to calculate the optimal box volume and tuning frequency for a particular subwoofer using the T/S parameters given by the manufacturer?

Okay. So I've got very limited trunk space. And a small-ish. Budget. I'm hoping for someone to help me with some sort of box design for an FI Q 10, in a ported box. Max dimensions being 30" Wide, 14" High, and 17" Deep. Already have an Amp picked out too that i'm gonna buy from a buddy for good.

I drive an Olds Bravada (basically a blazer) and I drive it daily, but its a weekend warrior for spl. I have an AA Havoc 15, I'm building the box to the SSA Icon enclosure specs, and running it off a MB Quart Discus 1500. Which would sound better/get louder, facing the sub and port up, or sub and port back? If I face the sub up I can actually use some of my cargo area.. but that isn't a big necessity. It is a four door if that matters.

Looking for a tutorial or some instructions on how to build the covers for door pods. I can build the pods, just was wondering how to go about making custom grills/coverings for the pod. Thanks for the help

after building the enclosure, i want to paint the box, instead of using carpet. What kind of paint would i have to use. After im done painting it i want to add a shine to the box. I want it to be a shiney black color. What are the things i will need in order for me to achieve this goal?

Alright well my buddy has a misubishi eclipse with 2 12" alpine type E's in it right now. He ordered two more today. So I dont have any dimensions but I want to make a ported box tuned to 31 hz. And probably 6 cuft. But should I make one big box? Or should I seal off the subs?

Ok, where do you guys buy your carpet for your builds? I want some really good carpet that doesnt have a bunch of crap on the back and is easy to use. I will be carpeting parts of my box, trim work and false floor. I've always used 3M 77 glue but I saw where some folks were spraying on that contact cement stuff. There really isnt much difference in the 2 right? I was checking out a lot of Thumper's enclosure builds and that guy did really good work. His forum looks like it hasnt been active in a while. Anyone done a fiberglass build in a mazda 6 sedan? I have this idea of putting my 15" ssd in the center, behind the seats, with two 6" aeroports (one on each side of the sub). This would be firing into the cabin. I have my rear seats down 90% of the time, so I would imagine it would sound great. Anyone done it, or know how? I am looking for someone to take on this project for me, as I have never done it, and wouldnt quite say I have the time to do it either.. I want to build a box for my 8's I have 4 aa assians its goign to go in a gmc serria 2 wheel drive reg cab i would like some software to do it tryed a few places but the things wont work my a chitty computer i cant make the box as big i as i want cuz of space so if u know of any free god software or any "cheap" software that I could buy that would be great

I have 2 AQ SDC2.5 with an AQ1200D amp. I have a 5 Cube box for them now but due to the fact that it wasnt planned out very good the box in crap and is all but falling apart now. I came up with another design but im not sure how well this will work. The subs call for 2.5 cubes a piece but with my new design it will be around 2.2 cubes a piece and the subs would be pointing pretty much up. I know that these are not ideal conditions for the subwoofers however how much do you think this would effect the overall sound. This is it any comments plz.

ive seen sum all plexi glass boxes and there pretty sick. how do u make one? wat would u use to seal it together and how would it sound?

i designs thes box a while ago and cant remember the specs. my patience have wore thin figuring out the specs, so would someone mind lending my a hand? i need to know the volume and the tuning of the box, (btw, if the width of the port is hard to read its 2 1/4'') thanks in advance

what you guys suggest? i mostly hear 2.5 net for the 12. power is 2 kx1200.1's strapped, so at least a good 2400w rms. ive already taken all the measurments and everything, this is about 3.8 gross, so i may shorten it a little, leaving me more room for amps on the top. port- what should i tune to? its for rap music. slot? aero? heres sorta what its gonna look like. the yellow will be double 3/4"

I currently have 2 fi q 15s in my dakota and am now getting a Ram 1500. Is it possible to get these sub in there or will i have to settle for what everone else is doing and go with two 10's?

That was the 1st box i ever made on that other thread, lol, i dont think i ever tried it out, hmm. but here are the real pics The port looks extra small if you ask me.But its sposed to be 32hz Now i'm not sure if i want to add in this extra piece right here are not, if i do i have to cut it at an angle because the subs depth is more than my ports length Ply wood Did that even look like an 18in hole to u guys, ahh come on now Oh and does this need bracing of coarse

This may sound like a stupid question, but I have yet to find someone who can give me a good answer to it: How do multiple drivers react when installed in a single undivided sealed enclosure - with regard to (Fb/F3 etc.)? For instance - Say you install 4 12" drivers in a single undivided 4.0 ft3 (Net) enclosure. Do the woofers react as if each driver was installed in it's own 1.0 ft3 box, as if each was installed in it's own 4.0 Ft3 box, or Somewhere in between? If so, is there some easy formula to calculate the volume that each driver "sees" to determine box response characteristics? Thanks, Hans

After searching for a subwoofer I have decided on the DCON 12" it seems perfect for what I am looking for. My question is regarding the box I saw the recommended plans were 2.25^3 at 30hz I think but I have plans already for a 2.5^3 box tuned for 35hz. Would the sub work well in that box or should I scrap it and just build the recommended one. I also have a 350 watt alpine amp, would it be ok to run the dcon at 350 watts?
