I was just wondering if anyone has installed a RL-p 15 in a dodge quad cab? if not what others have worked for you? I am thinking of installing a Dvc 2 RL-p 15 under the back seat in a 2.2ft^3 sealed enclosure running off a Phoenix gold tantrum 1200.1 I have also tossed around the idea of installing a Dvc 4 Ri8 in a custom made .65ft^3 ported center seat console running of a phoenix gold tantrum 400.4. The 8 would be for everyday and the 15 would be for shows I would app. any input you may have. Thanks Chad

At first i only want to clean it, but i got overboard and here's what it come out to be, one shiny backplate (for some reason the flat bottom won't go shine), only use my hand and some polishing product . The beast just get sexier. As i'm mounting the sub inverted, i think this is a good outcome PS: Mike can u make the Terminal hole bigger??!!!, it's a PITA when u trying to insert two 12ga wire (paralel wiring), i like to hide my wire as much as possible .

Alright, I'm pretty blown away by this. A member on another forum (a very new member) said that he saw a SS sub on Pimp My Ride. Here's the link to the post: Help With A SoundSplinter Sub

I'm going to be running 4 Signature 12"s ported and the most I can muster up for each is 1.25 cubes ported to 33Hz with 500w to each. Is this going to be sufficient air space for them to function properly?

if i bought a 12" rlp, and fed it at least 500 watts, what would the difference be between a 1.5 cube ported box vs a 2.0 cube ported box

I tried rear-firing my RL-i8's today and what a difference. The gain on the amplifier had to be turned down as the bass was too strong for general music listening. I threw my "Super Duck Breaks" CD for some serious bottom end. I could not believe that I was running 8's! People 1/2 block away were turning around to see what the hell the noise was. Listening at these levels is just not possible in general. I am almost tempted to build a ported enclosure for these things. Not that I am going to listen to regular music with this setup; I would just like to see how much louder and deeper these things could go. Is this considered a sickness? My neighbours and wife think I have …

My RL-p18 is arriving tomorrow, the box i am going to build will be 5.3ish cf tuned to probably 29hz. This will be a dual-2 model running off a Sundown SAZ1500 @ 1 ohm. Will 1500+ rms be o.k. for the RL-p in this size box? the box will have about 60 sq inches of port, will that be enough? btw, i used the RE box calculator to mess around with some designs. I have heard that their tuning is a little off, does anyone know about how much so i can compensate for it? sorry about all the questions, I just dont want to eff up the sub Thanks, Cody

http://www.soundsplinter.com/images/videos...-RLi10-porn.WMV The above video was taken in low light with a camera I'm unfamiliar with. Hopefully in the future I will master that damn camera and get some clearer pictures up here. The woofer in the picture is running in a sealed enclosure with another RL-i10, off of a bridged Pioneer amplifier feeding each woofer approximately 190 wrms. The volume on the Pioneer head unit during the video is at approximately 50% - I'll get something more impressive up here sometime soon Well now that we've been up and running solid for a few months, I know there's others out there with these bad boys. So.. Where the hell are the pic's?…

I have a 15" RL-p d4 paralell @ 2ohms on a Viper d1200.1. I have a horrible box(24x18.75x13) ported with a 2"diameter 7" deep aeroport) and I have no idea what it's tuned to. Basically, I'm wondering if I should just completely ditch this box, try to port it, seal it up and use it as sealed, or build an entire new box(I don't REALLY want to, but I probably will.) How would this box sound if I ported it? I saw that I can get some 4" flared aeroports for pretty cheap. Your thoughts?

Ok, I just purchased the new 18" RL-p (D4). The problem I have is the only amp I have is an Orion 2500d. It'll do 1800w rms @ 2ohm. The 18" is rated at 1000-1200w rms (I think). Would I be ok with turning down the gains? I dont have another amp at this time. I do plan on sending in an RE 12.1 amp I have in great condition to get fixed. It "rattles" when you move it. When I bought it, I was told that it was BNIB. When I opened it, it was making the rattling noise. The guy I bought it from wont return my PM's, emails, calls, etc. Any info on how I can make it work would be great. Thx guys, Vic.

This by far is will the biggest cabinet I have ever designed and to be built. The customer is using a RL-s 15 for Home Audio. The cabinet is 29" w x 29" h x 38" d and the entire beast is 1" MDF - Triple Baffled w/ the subwoofer recessed and braced like a solid brick sh!t house. The back of the cabinet is within the interior of the cabinet with a 6" space to the exterior back for mounting an plate amp. The space isolates the plate amp for the enclosure interior. The customer requested the bracing to be pure overkill to deaden the enclosure. A custom grill cover will be done that slips within the recess cutout which the front part of the grill cover will protrude beyond …

Not sure if this has been released yet, but, how is the inductance. I loved my XXX, but I got rid of it, for the fact that, even in a sealed enclosure it had little output above 60 hz. Is this Proto or RL-S going to be able to have a little more extension in the upper bass range?

Weds, Nov. 2nd I received the RLS-12" for the demo ring. I'll start with the summary, because there is alot of typing and I know alot of people don't want to read it all. In the end, and IN MY OPINION: The RLS is an awfully impressive driver. The output of this thing is downright impressive. As more then one "well known" engineer has said, You don't need 40 Newton Meters of force to make a driver strong. It also seems that the early estimates (based on driver spec's) are correct - this is not much of an In-Car driver. I was expecting this as well, but was hoping to be surprised. The LMT motor design itself seemed to come together awfully well. The driver stood up to ful…

I am contemplating on getting a RL-P 12" sub and was wondering if I should be going the Dual 4-ohm or Dual 2-ohm way? I understand the Dual 4-ohm runs at 2ohms and Dual 2-ohm runs at 1ohm? Amp is going to be a Audison LRX1.400 # RMS Output 1 x 350 Watts @ 4 Ohms # RMS Output 1 x 650 Watts @ 2 Ohms # RMS Output 1 x 900 Watts @ 1 Ohm So does that mean if I were to get the Dual 4-ohm version, I'd be pushing 650w to it? Or is it still going to be 350w? Which one would you guys recommended? This is going to be in a sealed box for SQ (tight/accurate). Not really into output. Thanks!

I have a 98 GMC extended cab sierra and Just ordered some new components and will be buying a sub in the next month or 2. I was thinking about the RL-i8 or maybe a 10, I want to go with a sealed box under the rear seat and have a 600w mono amp to run it. Do these subs sound good sealed or should I go a different route? Thanks for any help guys.

Okay so what box size would be heaven for a 12" RL-p D2 getting 700-800 watts max. I want a ported box tuned to 24Hz. I have about 3 cubic feet available. What would be heaven for the woofer?
