Just trying to get my power down. I know the MD2 are rated at 1500, but push closer to 1800. Do the MD1 push much more than 1200. I am trying to decide if MD1 is enough

Hi guys, new to the forum... just looking for some input from people that are familiar with US Amps and RE Audio. I just dropped some cash for my new system, and was curious about your opinions on my choices. I haven't installed anything yet except the deck as the amps and cap won't be here until next week: 2001 GMC Sierra Stepside - (STANDARD CAB!) Head Unit: Pioneer BT9800 (Bluetooth rocks on this deck!) Subs: 2 RE Audio SE 10 inch (new logo) - will be wired to 1 ohm Enclosure: Custom Built Sealed @ .65 cu ft each (optimum according to RE) - 3\4" MDF (Air tight, trust me!) Sub Amp: US AMPS XT-4000d (2007) Front Doors: Infinity Reference 6.5" Co-axial (Existing, curre…

I hooked them up using the MLT, linked together, and I can not get them to push my 2 AQ HD3's with the same power. I have tried everything I know to tune them but they will not push them with the same authority. I can get them to be working the same on a test tone but whenever I play music the subs do not hit the same frequencies with the same authority. One will hit the low frequencies good and the other will hit the mid to high frequencies better. What is going on? I tried to turn all the gains to the same point but that just makes one sub hit hard and the other one will be lagging. What should I do, I tried to unlink them with the RCA's and have them acting as single a…

I've got an older USA-2000x which is the 2 ohm stable model. Say if I ran this at 2 ohms bridged, would I be good with a 200 amp alt, Kinetic HC2400 and HC800? Thanks

Most people around here know I was running (2) MT 18's and (8) MD3Ds. I am now running (4) MT 15's with the same amps. Each pair of amps is strapped to a MT with dual 1.4 ohm coils in parallel (.35 ohms per amp). With a hour of testing, I was able to pull a 157.1 at 37 Hz with the new (4) 15" setup. And it will actually do 157.0 from 36 to 40 Hz. The (2) 18's did 156.9, but that was at 43 Hz. I will post some videos of it in the next couple of days. Anyone know of a good bass race song @ 38-40 Hz? Brian

Hi I've been calling around to different car audio companies accross the US and all of the stores tell me that mmats amplifiers beat us amp hands down. (compared to merlin series) Is this true? I know the car audio shops have installed both amps and should know, but this is a us amps forum and wanted to hear if there was a difference in opinion. Has anyone here dealt with mmats pro audio amps? thanks

So an unforeseeable incident happened to my Md.1d a little over a week ago.... I contacted Jeremy (flakko) about the issue and he helped me track down the problem to see the proper course of action... i called UsAmps tech Greg Carlos... Presented my problem and his technical knowledge was spot on and knew immediately what the issue was....He was courteous and very insightful.....I was transfered to the front office to Holly to get a RA number to send my amp in..... Holly was really nice and very receptive to my issue.... I had no problems getting the RA number and got to laugh a bit at her attempt to pronounce some of the streets names here in Hawaii..... So i contact Jrl…

well in terms of the class D's....greg just told me that they use the same circuitry as each other. as for the A/B amps, they are totally redesigned, the USacoustics redesign was scrapped, and are now lookin like the old Florida amps. i guess the only difference is the AX line is infinitely strappable. so yea thats GREAT news to hear im thinkin i might go all merlins next.

I bought a DE-1000 (notice: not 1000-DE) to power a TC Sounds 10" OEM. I was under the impression that the amp put out 1000 watts at 2ohms, cause that's what the US Amps site lists it at. However, I spoke with Greg at US Amps a few minutes ago and he claimed that it did 700x1@2ohms 1000x1@1ohm. He did not state that the US Amps site was wrong, but just said that's what it did. The US Amps site lists the DE-1000 stable down to 1.5 ohms. It rates it for 1000x1@2ohms. According to Amp Guts, the 1000-DE is rated at 700x1@2 ohms, and 1000x1@1 ohm. So what does it really put out? Was Greg simply confused between the two? (I did call back and ask him about the 1000-DE vs. the D…

I have done searches, came up with minimal material..Wanted to talk to the Us amp masters...Oh yea it is the Old style Usa-100Hc if that helps..The longer model...Thanks guys..Also would it be a better amp than my current Xt4000d??? I love the old school amps..

Not sure what the deal is with this guy. But someone at Us Amps may want to look into it. I tried contacting them multiple times, and sent emails, but haven't gotten a response. So hopefully I can get ahold of someone here. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/356768.html Feel free to delete this thread after the situation is taken care of.

So I finally got this beast of an amp. I looked at the user manual but have a question on wiring. I will be using four single 4Ohm subs. The way I understand the Manual I can wire two subs together to form a 2 ohm load and use one set of terminals on the amp and do the same with the other two subs for the other set of terminals and the amp will see a 2 ohm load? My head tells me the amp would see a 1 ohm load but the manual makes it sound like it would see a 2 ohm load. Can someone help? I would prefer to run at 2 ohms VS 1ohm but if needed will run at 4 ohms as to not destroy the subs I have. Subs can take 500-700 RMS.

I'm trying to find some good photos of recent productions of the XT4000D. Reason being is that I think this guy sold me a counterfeit amp. I'm going to post pictures of this suspect in a few minutes. I was just here hoping to find something that might help me prove this fake. I did at least buy it on my credit card so I'm safe there.

I have trying to compare the MD.1D and the XT-2000D for a Q15 I hope to be getting soon and other than the price, I haven't been able to tell the difference. They put out the same power and the other specs I have seen have been comparable. So why the difference in price? Also, is it correct that each of these amps put out 1200W. The US Amps site says 1200W for each, but I have seen some say 1000W, some say 1050W, so I don't know what to think. Thanks for the help guys.

Hey guys little intro first, my names Lucas I'm 22 and I live in Orange County California. I'm currently running a Kenwood X591 HU and the US Amps MD-22 and a pair of RE Audio SR12D4's in a way oversized and kind of sealed box (leaks like a mofo). Stock 6.5 speakers inside for now : ( I can't really give much of a review on the amp because its only about 15 minutes old, but those 15 minutes were pretty good. A little hot but good. Question though the bass remote seems to be different than others i've used. It seems like it has no relation to the actual bass boost like the one thats on the amp. So what is it actually controling and is the blue light ever gonna come back on…

I've got an offer for a brand new MD.23 for $250 shipped....I'm guessing it doesn't have a warranty..? How do you US Amps hold up? Do they tend to break down a lot or are they pretty stable? I would buy with warranty but its almost $450 more than this guy is offering for from my understanding...the price of an extra 2 non-warranty MD.23's. Does anyone know where to get these for significantly cheaper than $700 and still have a warranty? Regardless of the warranty, how do you like the Merlin line itself? Is it a big step down from the AX line? What other company's amps does the Merlin line compare to? Have any of you guys used the MD.23, or are you familiar with it a…
