hey yall i got a Kenwood Kdc-Bt945u and im trying to find a replacement part for it. on the face plate where it says kenwood that knob came off and i cant find it. so now it is just hollow there. it still turns and everything but when i have to push it in to select something its kinda of tough to get my finger in there to push it. so im wondering where i could find just the knob or would i have to get a whole new face plate. heres a pic of it. the inner knob where it says kenwood is gone.

  4. So, as this is only my second car, and I haven't managed to roll this one yet, I've had enough time to start needing to maintain my truck lol. I'm about to order new rear shocks tomorrow since my rear left is the lowest point on the car, like two or three inches below the front left and rear right, and want to know if any of you guys here who are significantly more mechanically inclined than myself, can you recommend me any better than these for the price? http://m.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/61A2642A0A0.aspx

I was out in my car today doin some work to it and decided to measure resistance on connections. I measured somethin interesting and don't know what it means so am hoping somebody here might. I removed all wire going to positive battery terminal under the hood except for factory wiring. When testing factory wiring to ground, i get a reading of 1,320 - 1,780 ohms. What does that mean? Apparently, is does mean power is touching ground but in the most least resistance possible. How low of a resistance reading does a connection have to be to start causing battery damage?

So im in the market for some new wheels for my black civic. Im wanting to do a simple clean blacked out civic. Nothing too over the top just going to tint the windows all the way around with some new taillights and headlights. Now onto the rims, I like them around 6-8 spokes with maybe a silver ring around the outside, so i came across these and was wondering what you guys think or if you have any better options, this is the style im going fo....maybe 17's-18's would be plenty. http://www.sparktecmotorsports.com/dc-6-v2-4.html Any other options would be awsome as im still in the searching stage and dont know too much about decent wheels.

Hey guys, well last time i made the thread about how i was having car problems and the mechanic said it might be transmission problems. i went and got a second opinion and what was happening was rodents had gotten underneath my car, and i guess thew started to chew through some of the wires. i need help on how to stop this from happening. I dont live anywhere out of the ordinary so it weird that it just happened to my car. anybody know of anything to keep i guess squirrels or rats, mice away from car so they wont chew through wires. thanks guys

My project for July...if it ever stops f'ing raining...is to repair the rust that's forming on the van's drip rail and at least put a coat of primer on it to prevent it from getting worse. I'm thinking I need to do the following - * Using masking tape/dropcloths, cover all the painted areas I don't want anything to get on. *Sand down the rusted/bubbled portions with heavy grit sandpaper * Spread some naval jelly on the rusted sections, on both sides of the rain gutter...sand this lightly off when dry down to bare metal. * Prime * Color coat Any tricks or things I'm forgetting? Like I said, I'm a finish/bodywork n00b...don't need this to look showroom quality, but rust on…

So, I'm about to order a lowering kit and found one, http://www.jegs.com/i/Ground+Force/476/9921/10002/-1# But, it's 2 door only, dumb question but, I've yet to find one for a 4 door. Would I be able to put it on my 4 door blazer even though it says 2 door? Speaking 2 door I'm guessing hass the exact suspension/frame etc as a 4 door?

I and others who own Scion tCs have been waiting for an air ride kit that can be purchased right here in America that not only works, but is Digital and not hard on the money! Well, the wait is officially OVER! ScionPro and Ogerdonz are now done testing the kit and must have passed successfully and is ready for the market. This is a FULLY digital kit on a presale price right now! Running just under $2,600 SHIPPED! until September 30th. If you need to be able to carry more weight or want a air experience, the time has come.

  17. It seems the Mercedes CLS can be either a coupe or sedan, depending on what seems most appropriate at any given moment. To Mercedes, it's a cool coupe. To German's Brabus, it's a sedan. Why? Because the tuner's CLS-based Brabus Rocket hit a speed of 227 mph (362.4 km/h) this week, making it the fastest "sedan" in the world. The car has a twin-turbo V12 engine from the latest Mercedes 600 models, pushed to an incredible 730 horsepower. The car also offers the fastest acceleration for any "sedan"

I was looking for alarms for my truck and came across Shatter Guard Film. It claims to be able to stop any intruder and is shatter proof. I looked at their video and it looks pretty convincing but the question now is, is it worth it? What do you guys think all hype or could this really be an alternative to an alarm system. Since it's a film it can't be bypassed like an alarm system and can apparently increase the windows strength by up to 300%. The problem is it costs $399. Do you guys think this would be just as good as an alarm system? Also is their any other brand out their that anyone has heard of that is just as effective without the extreme price tag?

  21. I just installed my new alternator from Mike Singer which has a smaller pulley then my Jeeps stock alternators pulley He recommended shortening my serpentine belt by 1" my Jeeps stock length is 88.8", and the closest to this I could find was 87". I've installed the 87" one and it fits, and no problems are apparent but I'm wondering if anyone knows if this can cause problems later on down the road? with my water pump? ac condenser? I just emailed Mike asking if this was alright but I figured I'd throw a post up here as well.

  23. How much would it cost to get this repaired? I slid into a curb about 30 minutes ago from the black ice on the roads doing about 25-30 mph. I managed to drive it home and don't manage on driving it anywheres unless its to a local car shop. How much do you think this costs and would you recommend me getting a new car? I currently have a 95 Honda Accord - 2.2L Vtech, 235k miles on it >.< Ran excellent, just not in bad weather. Any tips, info, help, would really help. Thanks, Curt

Do any of you guys in the Fort Wayne area know of any decent transmission shops around here that do payment plans? I'm in the middle of finding a new apartment so the smaller a hit I can take at once, the better. Normally id just wait til I had the trans handled to move, but my roommates steal and pawn my shit.
