I have searched around a little, but I wanted to ask here in case anyone knows (Sean )of a better location other then a local junker. Someone pushed in the nose on the drivers side of Amanda's car, and it cracked the lower portion and drivers side fog lens, along with snapping the connectors into the fender well. Now the rubber scuff piece on the passenger side is scrapping the road from time to time. Since she drives this car everyday, I would rather fix this before I do brakes on the sled.

Bought a street scenes poly urethane roll pan for my truck. Just got it today. I'm planning on getting it painted tomorrow but when I unpacked it I noticed it seems scuffed. Any idea if this is going to show after the paint? It doesn't feel the same as the non scuffed parts, a bit more rough..

I've seen some pretty crazy stretches, from 10"s to around 14"s.. I'm looking on this one site and they're offering a 20" and over custom. I'm curious as to why? A 4" to around 10" I can understand because if you add power to the bike, it's gonna further space where the torque is applied and thus make it harder for it to lift the front tire. Anything over 16" is pretty much going to put completely you out behind the rear fender.. I can get for drag racing but if you're gonna do that, you're not going to worry about buying it online and you're just gonna build one from scratch that way you can get over a 330 tire and just run a drag slick for a car, not to mention that you…

Thinking of upgrading my battery and adding a run of 4 gauge wire for a sub-system in my 2000 Avalon XLS and its been the most advanced car I've owned technology wise. Obviously to replace it I will have to disconnect the battery and my question is about what will this do to affect the car? Will it reset the odometer and car computer and so on? Thanks and let me know if you guys have had any success!

I found the bag kit i will be purchasing for my 1985 S10 Blazer for when i bag and body drop it. Im just waiting for the invoice from the company which will be getting it $50 cheaper directly through them than through ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Air-Ride-Co...80570QQtcZphoto figured i couldnt pass up that kit for $2000 Shipped because it comes with everything but my upper and lower control arms which are going to cost me around another $730 by themselves. i cant wait to start this project. plan on bag and bodydropping it on either 20s or 22's if its possible. also plan on swapping the little 2.8L v6 with a 350 edelbrock crate engine when the time comes…

Advantages of front wheel drive * Interior space: Since the powertrain is a single unit contained in the engine compartment of the vehicle, there is no need to devote interior space for a driveshaft tunnel or rear differential, increasing the volume available for passengers and cargo. * Cost: Fewer components overall * Weight: Fewer components mean lower weight * Fuel economy: Lower weight means better gasoline mileage * Improved drivetrain efficiency: the direct connection between engine and transaxle reduce the mass and mechanical inertia of the drivetrain compared to a rear-wheel drive vehicle with a similar engine and transmission, allowing greater fuel economy. * Ass…

Due to the bad fate of a corrupted server, CYVforums.com is no more. But, Patrick, the owner of CYV and I talked, and we decided to team up and join the members of CYV and CA-F. So if you are a CYV'er and looking for other CYV peoples, it is now at CarAudio-Forum.com. This way CYV is not gone, just in a different place.

I am planning to repair the scuffs and nicks in my wheels. I have been doing my research, and reading up on different ways. I wanted to see if anyone has used a specific wheel putty as I have seen a few times (IIRC in Bavarian Auto), or should I go for the Bondo approach that I have seen in a few tutorials? Thanks Considering painting the wheels after the repair too.

Today a dude pulled up next to me at a stoplight and said my brake lights don't work. So I come home and mess around and find out that the sensor that's attached to the brake pedal isn't doing it's job correctly. It seems like when I push the brake pedal it doesn't trip the sensor. I can push up the sensor and it turns my brake lights on. So do I need a new one or can this one just be adjusted somehow? and what's it exactly called anyways, since I've been trying to look it up online and can't find the part?
