Well.. Since Im 20 now, going to be moving out on my own within the next couple years, going to have a job, ect. Im thinking about selling my 04 Impala, and get something a little more fuel efficient, and to be honest Im thinking about maybe a 94-98 civic. I never would have thought id be buying a civic, but they are fairly inexpensive, easy to work on, and very fuel efficient. Not really asking for people to persuade me either way but if you want to put in your 2 cents go ahead. . Just thought id tell you a potential idea.

It's about time to replace my front pads on the Jeep and looks like I will need to replace my disks also. There's a company called Vanco which makes a big brake kit. 12" rotor vs 11" rotor stock and Explorer Sport-Trac calipers. I've looked around and it seems like I can use the Sport-trac rotor. Sport-trac calipers come in 2 different sizes, one has 2 48mm pistons, the other has 2 46mm pistons. Stock Jeep caliper has 1 66mm piston. Comparing the surface, 2 48mm pistons have more surface while the 2 46mm have a smaller surface. I can source the smaller Explorer caliper locally for a good price and then it would cost me disks + pads. Is the smaller caliper piston surface (…

Hey guys i'm in the market for a pair of new headlights/bulbs and was wondering what you guys thought about the headlights below? I was wondering if these would work with HID's? I'm looking at getting xentec hid's, my roomate has them and they look amazing for $32. These will be going on my 1999 dodge ram 1500 ext. cab. Please post what you think about these. All opinions would be appreciated. http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1423.l2649

  7. I finally did it! I got a AD244 in my '97 Grand Prix with this bracket - http://store.alternatorparts.com/a500-cs130d-ad230-ad237-to-ad244-cs144-conversion-bracket.aspx I researched for a while now, had to shave a little off the alt., but it bolted up and plugged it in and works great. I would post pics but can't figure out how with the new layout. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/423922_2522769080805_1600682969_3457785_1143037732_n.jpg

Hello, I have a simple question and was wondering if anybody has tried or seen this done before and thoughts on it. Its been on my mind ever since seeing it at my last job. This kind of cable is not nearly has flexible, I understand that part, but instead of smaller strands of threaded copper this kind of cableing is like, really think copper which is why I even ask. Since it is made up of thicker copper, then I would assume that it would be able to carry more current than normal cableing we see in most car audio applications. While upgrading my electrical, I was just wondering if this would be a logical move or should there be any reasons to steer away from it. My i…

I stopped at the store today and parked it and then came back and started it up, sounded fine, then put it into reverse and apply the gas a little. It acted as though it was stuttering. So I put it in drive and same thing, it stutters no matter how much I push the petal, it will not go above 5 mph or above about 1.5k rpm. As I got on the road I had to pull it over and troubleshoot because It was just to slow. If I had to describe what it felt like...It was the feeling of putting a manual car into 5th gear and trying to make it go from a stand still. Acts as though it's about to stall out but it never did. So first, I put it into park, turned off the truck, turned it back …

Looking for experience with C&D brand batteries. Specs look better than kinetic and on par or better than XS for the price. $350 for 135ah and advertised floating voltage of 13v plus. Or $245 for 100ah. Not sure what shipping costs are yet as I'm still mobile. I will be having my Mechman alternator shipped back to them for some diode adjustments to bring turn on rpm down to about 550 engine rpms. I believe I'll be rock solid with one group 31 or larger battery plus the kinetic hc1800 under the hood. I'm almost tempted to do 2 of the 100ah batteries and run some 2/0 wire straight from alternator to rear. Thoughts???

I'm only posting because I don't really have the time to really research myself. But I was looking into DDM Tuning and noticed people complaining how bad their customer service is, and the overall length of time its taking to receive your order and it seems its taking longer and longer. So to me, this usually isn't a good sign, definitely if I have a problem. So I'm looking for another brand or company that compares to DDM as far as price and quality(if you could call it that). I am willing to spend ~$75ish for each kit, 50watt low beam 9007 and H10 fog. Also, I don't have to have slim ballast's but it would be nice.

I just ordered these LED Switchbacks For my 01 Limited Edition. I'm hoping they will match my HID's perfectly and will look amazing. I have read you have to use these, LED Load Equalizers, so that you don't get the "Hyper blink". So I picked up a pair of those as well. I'll post fill review, with video soon as I get them and my new HID Fog lights in.

Hey everyone, I'd like to know if there is an alternative to changing the color of my headlight without HIDs. I'm not a fan of HIDs because they tend to hurt my eyes when I see people driving so I wouldn't want to do that to others. But what I do want is to not have the stock "yellowish" light and have a different color like blue, white, etc. What's a good alternative that isn't so expensive?
