My Jeep has had a bit of what I think is lifter tick, audible between 2 and 3k rpm. No lifter tick on startup though. I plan on changing the oil (it's a diesel engine) and I've been thinking about what to add to the oil before changing it to help clear up the ticking noise. I've read that adding diesel fuel or ATF to the oil, running the car for a few minutes, then changing the oil helps. It's an old pushrod design and taking the heads off to remove the lifters would only make me get head studs, which I don't want to do right now. What are your thoughts on this? Seth ?

I'm not a motorcycle aficionado by any stretch of the imagination, but I saw this parked the other day and it blew me away. Who has done this? I want to change my gauges color, I'm sure I could just dive in and do it. Title says it all Im looking for something that is a crossover. To give you an idea, I was looking to get the Saturn Vue 2nd generation (which means 2008 or later) I was really just a few steps from buying it. Hey guys, I'm almost done with my audio install on my 2006 tahoe...The total added weight comes out to around 400lbs. I have about 200lbs of stuff installed so far. The weight is distributed pretty evenly, batteries on each side, enclosure centered.. Well the problem is my 2006 Tahoe is handling worse, and performs worse..(To be expected). Stock the rear is lifted 1.5" or so compared to the front...Now it's about even. The suspension feels stiff, brakes are a bit weaker, can't take turns and peel out as easily\comfortably. Okay guys as you know I am prolly picking up some new wheels here very soon. I am thinking between 7500 and 11,000 down. I don't want a vehicle over say 24,000 sticker price. Wouldn't mind going used, I just want something rleiable and fun to drive. As of right now its between a brand new dodge Nitro and a used '07 Ford Explorer. I really want to stay in the SUV market cause the Formula I was looking at is just a tad more rust than I want, and for me its either big or fast. I got a '01 Crown Victoria Police Crusier and I want to drop the car 1.5 to 2 inches. the beginning....86 fiero that i'm trying to fix up, just finished the headliner today. Process...remove the whole interior, because i'm going to fix anything that needs it, headliner came out and made the voyage to bburg with me. I started by removing the old headliner and the staples that someone else had used. I then brushed a ton of resin on the backside of the liner (not the front where the fabric goes so i could avoid messing up the contours). This strengthened the old thing a LOT and i ended up using about 1/2 of a (quart?) of resin.
