  2. I wanted to see what we think are some of the greatest motors of recent history. Keep in mind, just because it was a big motor with big horse power, does not mean its a great motor. Things you need to take into account are longevitity of usage, horse power/litre, durability, amount of different models powered, quality of design, ground breaking technologies, efficency, and performance of course. So post up a motor or two you think should be included in the upcomming poll for people to vote on the Greatest Motor in the last 25 years, and what about it makes it a good canidate. (and dont just say toyota 4 cyclinder or chevy small block give more detail than that) -------…

  3. post from CLZZ (TRP Vendor Section) http://www.classifiedzz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=366 I got my order in for my two cars. Thought i'd share the love and offer this to everyone on behalf of TripleRperformance. We are having a good sale on some HID kits. I am wanting to do a mass order of at least 10 as the price for shipping will be much lower. Well the price for each kit will be $65, and shipping will be around $25 so $90 if we can get 10 orders placed. I can do single orders at $65 and $45 for shipping, so $110 for a single order. Kits can be ordered in H1/H3/H4/H6/H7/H8/H9/H10/H11/H13/9004/9005/9006/9007/880/881/D2/D1 and color levels of 3000K, 4300K, 6000K, 800…

I created this thread so everyone can post pictures of their tint so that I can get an idea because in the next month or two I plan on re-tinting my car. Currently, I have 15% all around and nothing on the windshield but I want more privacy and heat protection from the shield so right now I am planning on doing atleast 5% all around and 50% on the windshield but am considering as dark as 35% on top of 5% all around and 35% on the windshield. I don't want to hear anything about legal issues, trust me I am aware. Just interested in your opinion and if anyone has experience with tint on the windshield and how it is to drive in rain/night/both.... Also Will 5% all around give…

Looking for experience with C&D brand batteries. Specs look better than kinetic and on par or better than XS for the price. $350 for 135ah and advertised floating voltage of 13v plus. Or $245 for 100ah. Not sure what shipping costs are yet as I'm still mobile. I will be having my Mechman alternator shipped back to them for some diode adjustments to bring turn on rpm down to about 550 engine rpms. I believe I'll be rock solid with one group 31 or larger battery plus the kinetic hc1800 under the hood. I'm almost tempted to do 2 of the 100ah batteries and run some 2/0 wire straight from alternator to rear. Thoughts???

Do any of you guys in the Fort Wayne area know of any decent transmission shops around here that do payment plans? I'm in the middle of finding a new apartment so the smaller a hit I can take at once, the better. Normally id just wait til I had the trans handled to move, but my roommates steal and pawn my shit.

Looking at adding another car (maybe 2) to my garage. I am looking at a CRX as an audio car and then I want a daily driver for AZ. Something with some good power, manual, power windows and either already with nav or I can always add one on. What I am looking at is a 2009(ish) Dodge Challenger R/T edition with the V8. I figure I can easily get one for about 18k in cash. I plan on spending between 14k and 22k on this new toy. This doesnt include rims (if needed), tint or exhust. I will not buy asian autos, and prefer, Dodge, BMW, or Ford. Not much of a Bow Tie kinda guy, and this is for me, not the wife so its gotta be fast enough to easily do something stupid in and fun to…

Well, sine Tirefryr asked, I guess I would post my toy. It is a 1986 Buick Grand National. It has a 3.8L V6, 30 over and stroked. Forged TRW 8.5:1 pistons and a forged Crower crank. Comp cams custom cut to optimize exhaust gas speed to increase spool up and reduce lag. The heads are cast, ported and polished with stainless valves, Chevy 350 lifters and comp cams 1.6:1 roller rockers. The intake manifold is match ported and polished to the heads, and fed through a Turbo-TA stretched intercooler with a Duttwieler neck conversion. I use a 3 inch cold air pipe and a 9 inch K&N. I use stock style headers (I found they have better bottom end then the high flow headers) a TA…

Hey guys. I have a project truck that won't go into park. I have a 1995 Ford F150 Flareside XLT 5.0L It's 2 wheel drive. I'm having a problem with it going into park, it doesn't go into park. When I shift gears to park, it's in reverse, and I can't go any further. I have to keep it on neutral or reverse and have the parking brake on whenever I park the car. What could be the problem? Something with steering column? Tranny? Must I go under the truck and look at some things? Any help from you guys would be appreciated. Especially you automotive guys. Thanks in advance.

  20. I just installed my new alternator from Mike Singer which has a smaller pulley then my Jeeps stock alternators pulley He recommended shortening my serpentine belt by 1" my Jeeps stock length is 88.8", and the closest to this I could find was 87". I've installed the 87" one and it fits, and no problems are apparent but I'm wondering if anyone knows if this can cause problems later on down the road? with my water pump? ac condenser? I just emailed Mike asking if this was alright but I figured I'd throw a post up here as well.

So im in the market for some new wheels for my black civic. Im wanting to do a simple clean blacked out civic. Nothing too over the top just going to tint the windows all the way around with some new taillights and headlights. Now onto the rims, I like them around 6-8 spokes with maybe a silver ring around the outside, so i came across these and was wondering what you guys think or if you have any better options, this is the style im going fo....maybe 17's-18's would be plenty. http://www.sparktecmotorsports.com/dc-6-v2-4.html Any other options would be awsome as im still in the searching stage and dont know too much about decent wheels.

It's about time to replace my front pads on the Jeep and looks like I will need to replace my disks also. There's a company called Vanco which makes a big brake kit. 12" rotor vs 11" rotor stock and Explorer Sport-Trac calipers. I've looked around and it seems like I can use the Sport-trac rotor. Sport-trac calipers come in 2 different sizes, one has 2 48mm pistons, the other has 2 46mm pistons. Stock Jeep caliper has 1 66mm piston. Comparing the surface, 2 48mm pistons have more surface while the 2 46mm have a smaller surface. I can source the smaller Explorer caliper locally for a good price and then it would cost me disks + pads. Is the smaller caliper piston surface (…
