Sundown Audio

I see that the 1500D have 2 sets of speaker outputs. So the easiest way is to get dual 2 ohm, hook it up in parallel, then the internal are bridge for a final 1 ohm load. What if I were to go with dual 1 ohm (1 sub) wire it in series = 2 ohm, then bridge the connection to the amp, will i get a final load of 1 ohm? I can't tell from the manual if the external outputs are bridgeable. Please confirm. Thanks!

too start off I'm not bashing any products this was just a direct swap. we started out with this box on a 40.1 @.5 did a 154.9 then we dropped this in and only came up with this voltage drop was from 15.2 on the volt meter down to 13.4 on the 40.1 and from 15.2 down to 12.3 on the 4500 there was a nsb90 under the hood with 6 runs of wire to the back batteries they are 110lb data safes. the 40.1 was giving some crappy wave's on the TL and the sundown hard perfect wave's on every test we are going to do the 4500 on 16 volts next and see what it will do then here is a pic of the wave with the 40.1

Well I just received my SAX-125.2 not too long ago and WOW! This is a very nice amp with sweet sound clarity. I put it to my polkmomo 6x9's and it blows my overrated crunch ( I know, I know) out of the water. I just started getting back into car audio not too long ago and went cheap just to get started. Sundown for life now!!! Then you had to go and have this sale for July and u can bet I will take advantage. Before this month is over I will be ordering an SAX-100.4 and the 50.4 fo sho. Then the 4500d will ship (hopefully) in October...Christmas all year long for me!!! Hopefully during the build I can get some pics going but it be awhile. Thanks for the great service and…

Just wondering if anyone has any pics of the newer style saz1500's.....i think it was the heatsink that was a little different? I know the performance is identical, just want to see how close they are to the 1st ones. I have 2 of the original and am planning on ordering a couple more.

  10. I understand the concept of bridging and individual channels and the impedences that the amp handle. What i dont understand is that load that would be created in a 6 channel tri mode on the 100.4. I am planning to get this amp and rainbow slc 265.25 ng's for my fronts and rear doors and they are 4-ohm comps. Np with that but i was peaking at the manual and noticed you could do a 6 channel tri mode and if i added mid bass or subwoofers, what wattage and impedence would be put onto the amp. This is a concern because i don't want to ruin any speakers that i add. I am really trying to create a good sounding system, i care more about bass created by speakers than having to…

when i put the subs in about two weeks ago the box slid back towards the trunk lid while being played and caused a crack in the surround on one of em. trying to avoid getting a recone b/c the sub plays fine, just thinking about the longevity aspect another question is that im thinking about getting another box made along the lines of 3.5-4 cubes @ the lowest possible tuning and still get loud. i was thinking 30 hz for these beasts.

NeoPro-8 models are now SOLD OUT. Also -- all NeoPro speakers will face a small price increase due to the Neo cost increases. The next run of NeoPro-8s will include 4 ohm models as well. We will have more in stock in June... the demand for these really snuck up on us exponentially rather than just a gradual increase so supply was literally pulled right out from under us! We should have more steady data on the demand in the future on these. New / Old Pricing : NeoPro-6.5 : $99 / NA NeoPro-8 : $105 / $99 NeoPro-10 : $129 / $115 The 10" has a much bigger piece of Neo in it so was more affected. If Neo goes back down in the future we'll adjust accordingly -- we may also offer…

Went to our local TBP event here in Fort Worth(other side of world for me)....100 mile round trip... Threw in 1 of my Sundown Audio 3000D's with all 3 DEKA 9A31's and 2 12" JBL Power Series subwoofers in a 34Hz box with a final impedance of 2 ohm at the amplfier...Decided I wanted to burp them....so I pulled up in the lanes....and burped a 147.0 and a 147.3 which was barely enough to scrape out 1st place....2nd place did a 147.1... I was pretty happy for what I was running and how I had it set-up, it did higher than I predicted.... I'm going to fiberglass this enclosure, and cut the port to about 45Hz, and burp me a 150+.... It's going to be something to see.. One of my…

How do I measure it? I have a pair of 1500s strapped on three Fi Bl 18s (dual 2ohm) in a series/parallel configuration. I've already clamped the amplifiers and they are pulling 460a of current, voltage drops from 14.4 to 11.8, and resting resistance is 1ohm. What else is there?

okay fellars, i got a SAZ 3000D and i am going to be getting a WMD2R 15", it is a dual 1ohm sub, it does 1500 rms. with ease from what i understand, i am thinking that i will run the amp at 2ohms. so it will be an easy relationship on both, i know i could wire to .5 ohm and the sub will take alot more wattage......but i figure this will be plenty. so my question is, with a 2 ohm load, what type of amprage should i have avaiable for my amp, like what size alt and battery combo,,,, i got the welding cable and plenty of it, so i got that part going on. thanks Chop.

Recently getting involved with Sundown as a dealer in Florida, I sold my entire JL setup and switched to Sundown amps and subs. Jacob worked hand in hand with finding a good fit for my small BMW 318i. I installed 2 Sundown SA 12" subs on a Sundown 1500 Watt Amp. They are wired to 1ohm and run extremely well. The ported box is tuned to about 34hz, and i am very pleased with how the subs are responding. These subs will blow so many other setups out of the water! I am proud to say more amps will be going into my car and I look forward to selling a quality product! Kevin

  22. Ok so I have a stock Jetta 1999.5... I dont know if the provided link helps at ALL, but I really need to know something. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/2191.html What would I need to upgrade to be able to get the most out of my SAZ 1500 without it like exploding or something. Lol obviously an exageration. But what would I need to do? And if at all possible perhaps a price range?... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a ton, Devon P.S. Sorry if i violated some unwritten rule... Im new at this.
