I might be able to get a hold of a preproduction prototype model 100.4. What are the differences between the two? TIA.

1. I'm in the middle of buying an SAE 1000d from a member of another forum and I'm curious about how many amps is this going to draw, I was guessing around a 150 amp fuse (guessed draw to be around 125 amps) assumed .8 efficiency) to be safe, but I'm not sure, and I figured someone on here could give me a much more accurate number and maybe even a link to fuses that would perfectly fit my system. 2. Also I've looked at other topics concerning this amp and it seems that it has 2 positive and 2 negative ports for the speaker wire... but it's a monoblock amp? Once I get the amp i plan on hooking it up to my two Alpine Type R's and I'm wondering, do I hook them up …

Pre-Orders for the SD-1 v.2 are open now. I expect to have them before the end of the year. The pre-order will go on until December 14th (extended from the 7th). DESCRIPTION: These subs will throw down in very small enclosures and will now handle much more power than the original SD-1. Ideal for shallow truck enclosures! They utilize a single 6" diameter magnet slug to achieve the necessary flux. Behind the cone you will find a progressive roll spider and a special treatment applied to the back of surround and upper lip of the cone to get more stability from the surround and to bring the Mms to where it needed to be. The leads are offset out to the sides and slightly rais…

Just wanted to give a public thank you for the amazing customer service!! The amps showed up today, a couple days before I expected them to. I will always give you the first shot at any audio business I may have in the future( and I know I will;)). Just got my 2 sax-100.2's to go with my saz-1500d. I'm gonna try to run them in dual mono to my Diamond d-971 components, I think that will drop my noise levels wayyyy down, and really help my staging/imaging as well. Again, Jacob... THANK YOU!!!

Heard one tonight... Wow. The owner was Toby from T&J Elite Customs in Oldsmar, FL. Was in an Escalade, probably an 04 or so. Was a SAZ-3000D running a Critical Mass 5000 in a box that was around 3 cubes tuned to 38hz. SAX-100.2 on the Critical Mass comp set. Entire system was 1 12, 2 6.5s, and 2 tweeters. Those components screamed! They sounded great, and blended perfectly. The sub was probably the best sounding woofer Ive ever heard. Couldnt even tell there was a sub, you would think it was actually a bass drum. As good as it sounded, he metered it and it was right at 144.xdbs on the Termlab, legal. He is a Sundown dealer and was playing with the 3000D and hooked it…

Jacob, how did you decide to make the 100.2 and 1500D in the same manual? The only pages they have in common are the Warranty and Troubleshooting.

This sub is designed to be something that you can roll around with daily and hit SPL competitions with, all in the same woofer It's very daily friend but will still put up good numbers on the meter when you want it to do so. Now... they will be ready in February in 12" and 15" sizes with D1 and D2 coils. My question is this... who wants to be able to pre-order them now? If there is enough interest I will go ahead and get it …

What about be the minimum type of electrical system that i would need to support this. Would Big3, 136 amp alternator, and a powermaster 3100 in the front be enough?

I know that they offer the SD1 and SD1v.2 and that they are coming out with the nightshade but the SD1v.2 is too small for me, does not take enough power and the nightshade takes plenty of power but it appears to be geared towards full blown SPL, correct me if I'm wrong. I was wondering if there are going to be any subs to fill the gap between these woofers, a good daily driving sub that can take a good 2-2.5kw RMS. I was also wondering about the amps. I know that the 1500 will do around 2kw and the 3000 will do around 3.5-4kw. However I was wondering if there are going to be any amps that do in between, maybe a SAE-2000 or 2500. Let me know any info thank you.

Hi guys my name is Joey aka ronrico41I8. Wanted to go with the Sundown guys about this as I figure you'd have the best ideas considering familiarity with this product. Just purchased a SAZ-3000D that I plan on using w/Fi subs. I plan on purchasing a 100.4 and 100.2 in the near future. I would like to get away with using 4-6 batteries as my ride should be bagged in January and I need room for the air tank and enclosure. I would like a high voltage electrical sytem that can get me 5000 watts out of this baby. Is this possible? What is the highest voltage system I can use on a vehicle that is driven just several times a month. Whip is a 1988 Chevy S10 Blazer with V8 …

We put the Nightshade in Sean's truck and beat the crap out of it with 4x SAZ-1500Ds at 1/2 ohm nominal each (about 1.15 ohm each with impedance rise): * 4.5 ft^3 box tuned to around 35 Hz or so (same box from SDE post) * Front of the woofer in the "wall" setup Peak was at 54 Hz and SPL is as follows: 40.9 watts @ 133.0 dB 141.1 watts @ 137.8 dB 311.3 watts @ 140.7 dB 513.4 watts @ 142.7 dB 811.5 watts @ 144.5 dB 1731.2 watts @ 146.9 dB 2845 watts @ 148.1 dB 4505 watts @ 149.2 dB 7081 watts @ 151.2 dB -- Still gained 2 dB at this point, very little compression The next step blew one coil on the Nigthshade... so we didn't get any more SPL readings. Our meters don't have …

Alright, my 2 amps came in. My kicker amps never had this many controls, so I'm going to need some help... How do I hookup the RCA's on the 1000D? Besides the gain, how should I set the other controls? Why are there 2 speaker terminals if it's a 1 channel amp? Which terminals do I use for a single dual 2 ohm sub? How do I hookup the RCA's on the 100.4? ...All the controls? The manuals say practically nothing. 1000D... 100.4... If you need a better picture of something please let me know.

So what's involved in refurbing an amp? I wouldn't mind snatching up that 1500D, but I don't want to lay down four bills, only to be stuck with a large paperweight just out of the 90 day warranty. Jacob, hows the reliability rate with the refurbs?

The 1500D being $599 and the 1000D being only $399 means the 1000D costs less per watt. So why would someone get the 1500 over the 1000?
