Sundown Audio

Anyone have an extra remote knob laying around that they could spare? I am in the final stages of putting together my system for my Mini and got a great deal on a 100d but it was missing the knob. Any help would be appreciated. David

How do i get some of these? i broke one pretty easily today and would like to get a few spares to keep on hand. do i get them from jacob or dose home depot sell something close. if so what size, what pitch? thanks

I understand the concept of bridging and individual channels and the impedences that the amp handle. What i dont understand is that load that would be created in a 6 channel tri mode on the 100.4. I am planning to get this amp and rainbow slc 265.25 ng's for my fronts and rear doors and they are 4-ohm comps. Np with that but i was peaking at the manual and noticed you could do a 6 channel tri mode and if i added mid bass or subwoofers, what wattage and impedence would be put onto the amp. when i put the subs in about two weeks ago the box slid back towards the trunk lid while being played and caused a crack in the surround on one of em. trying to avoid getting a recone b/c the sub plays fine, just thinking about the longevity aspect another question is that im thinking about getting another box made along the lines of 3.5-4 cubes @ the lowest possible tuning and still get loud. i was thinking 30 hz for these beasts.

okay fellars, i got a SAZ 3000D and i am going to be getting a WMD2R 15", it is a dual 1ohm sub, it does 1500 rms. with ease from what i understand, i am thinking that i will run the amp at 2ohms. so it will be an easy relationship on both, i know i could wire to .5 ohm and the sub will take alot more wattage......but i figure this will be plenty. so my question is, with a 2 ohm load, what type of amprage should i have avaiable for my amp, like what size alt and battery combo,,,, i got the welding cable and plenty of it, so i got that part going on. thanks Chop.

o.k. i really need some help on makeing a good number box yet still sound killer the amp is saz-1500d in a yukon 2000.so i have room.it just needs to stay below the windo line.any help would be great!!!!

hey guys since i dont got a dmm handy, i want to set my 1500d as accurately as possible so can u guys who are running 1500ds or amps with similar settings give me a heads up on exactly what you guys have your settings at? ive recently been running mine on 2 type argh's and they get stinky within about 3-5 at times. so any help on settings so my amp sends a cleaner feed to my subs so they dont stink as much?

Recently getting involved with Sundown as a dealer in Florida, I sold my entire JL setup and switched to Sundown amps and subs. Jacob worked hand in hand with finding a good fit for my small BMW 318i. I installed 2 Sundown SA 12" subs on a Sundown 1500 Watt Amp. They are wired to 1ohm and run extremely well. The ported box is tuned to about 34hz, and i am very pleased with how the subs are responding. These subs will blow so many other setups out of the water! I am proud to say more amps will be going into my car and I look forward to selling a quality product! Kevin

I just got my Saz 3000d in and it popped a fuse, but first it went into protected mode, i have 1/0 wire going to the battery and a big 3 done in 1/0 weird thing when it popped i was doing about 13v then protect, then pop. idk what happened no shorts seem to be prevalent i dont know

I've seen this asked before and I thought I knew ""Best Practices" but then in reading, I discovered there are some things about the PRE inputs on teh Sundowns where they don't like certian ""Higher End" RCA cables... Who woulda thunk it???? So, if that was unknown to me, what else is, you know... Hello, One of my friend wants something to power his Xcon (in a 3.5ft3 net ported box). He wanted a Sundown 3500 D, but there are some really good deals on some 3000's. Do you think a used(from Sundown) or a refurb(from Db-r) 3000 can give the sub all the power it needs ? I think the 3500 is "better", but more expensive too ! How can they be compared ? AT 2 OHMS ONLY !!! BTW what to you think about used or refurbished amplifier ? I live in a Hot island (30° C all year long) so the ampp must be reliable. I would not like to send any amp back to the USA, shipping is about 200$ !!!

i have a question, what glue is used when assembling a spider pack together? is it rubberized ca that is used? and is it applied to just the outside / inside lips? or is it applied to the entire surface.

I am building some for a foreign market and they turned out pretty well. Before I start offering them in mass I am making a different spider but these worked out very well. The new spider will sit down on the 7" landing to give more cone to spider clearance. I'll put up some specs before I ship them off.

Currently, I have a Memphis Mojo 4kw amp with 2 odyssey 2150 batteries + stock in a Hummer H2. I have already had to send in my amp to get fixed previously and I am trying to avoid that again. I was thinking about selling it off and buying a SAZ-3000D but I was wondering how hot they run because the only spot in my truck to mount the amp is directly behind the seat on the box which leaves about 1 inch of clearance for heat to escape. Also, the alternator is stock but I have not dropped below 12 volts at full tilt so I was wondering the output of the saz-3000d at 12v because I know the Mojo is not giving me anywhere near 4000.
