Hey guys, Got backed up a bit on emails again around the beginning of August... some emails from earlier in the month and scattered throughout up until now have not been read yet. Just got a shipment of a few in this morning to try out. These little guys look mean. Doing 2-10's sealed for a customer in a mid-90's ext cab chevy on a DD CM1. Should have the vehicle in on Thursday, can't wait to see what they can do. I didn't realize just how shallow these subs were until I unboxed them. Looks like I can easily do 1-10" ported in ~1.3cuft net behind the seat of 99-07 crewcab Chevy/GMC. I have been doing 1 or 2-8" subs in these vehicles, a single SD-2-10" looks like it would make a very nice inexpensive sub for this type of install. Gonna have to try that pretty soon

I would like to use a AC voltmeter to set the gain on my SAZ-3500D. Can I get the voltage just before clipping at a 1 ohm load?

im thinking of 1 ns12 in a extended cab truck or should i stick with my 2 db plw12d4's. the truck in qusetion is a mazda b2200.subs running off my saz-2000d.

hey i was just wondering, with the proper voltage can the 3000d be strapped at .25ohms? (1/8) ohm each? thank you much

Okay so I got my build done about 5-6 months ago and wired it up and have been running it at .4-.5 ohms with no issues. All of the sudden last Friday it just cut off, no smoke no obvious burn marks. Just went into protect and would not come back out. I know that running it this low can cause issues and so I just went ahead and sent it off to db-r and they think i fried the drive board or the input. My question is can anyone think of what may have caused this. Is it just because i was running it at the .4-.5 ohm load, or can it be something else that i can fix and prevent this from happening again. My electrical is as followed. Big 3 in 2/0 2 250 amp Mechman alts 2 runs…

I'm working my way through building my system and I'm starting to think I might not want to go with the 2 Kinetik HC2400's I was originally going to put in the trunk due to space restrictions. I have a Kinetik HC1800 under the hood, DCPowerinc 250a alt with 14.6/15.6 switchable MLA installed. I need enough juice to power 3 SAX-100.4D amps at 4ohms and 1 SAZ-3000D at 1ohm. So, keeping the power under the hood the same, would it be ok instead of 2 HC2400's in the trunk to go with the smaller HC600's (maybe 4 or 6 of them)? I could easily fit those anywhere and still have some cargo area left over.

what is the difference on the new heatsink models of the 1500d's and how does it make it better or was it done cause im considering which one to get and i cant seem to find one on db-r that is a new heatsink and am wondering if its worth the wait to get the new heatsink or if the oldones are just as good

I am building some for a foreign market and they turned out pretty well. Before I start offering them in mass I am making a different spider but these worked out very well. The new spider will sit down on the 7" landing to give more cone to spider clearance. I'll put up some specs before I ship them off.

I'm wanting to run my tweets active with this amp but can't find it anywhere. I know it was discontinued but I'm hoping I might be able to find it somewhere. Anyone know if they still have any of these available anywhere?

okay fellars, i got a SAZ 3000D and i am going to be getting a WMD2R 15", it is a dual 1ohm sub, it does 1500 rms. with ease from what i understand, i am thinking that i will run the amp at 2ohms. so it will be an easy relationship on both, i know i could wire to .5 ohm and the sub will take alot more wattage......but i figure this will be plenty. so my question is, with a 2 ohm load, what type of amprage should i have avaiable for my amp, like what size alt and battery combo,,,, i got the welding cable and plenty of it, so i got that part going on. thanks Chop.

Hey guys i need some more knowledge from the ever so wise ppl here on SSA! Here is my problem. current setup is: 1-15inch NS 1- sae1200d amp big 3 0/1 wire 1-100.4 and 2 batcap 2000's in the trunk! my problem is when the bass hits even at 1200rms my lights will dim it isn't a bad dimming but still a diming occurs and when the new saz 2000 arrives i am worried i will be running into a problem...The only remedy that i have heard to fix this is to get a cap? but if i get cap would i wire the cap before or after the batteries? and what kind a cap should i get? any ideas would help me out A LOT!!!! thanks for your help and advise Kenneth

Do you still have the sale on the 50.4 ? Can I take it to power my Focal 165KP? It may be cheaper than the 125.2, so I am interested to buy it instead of the 125.2. Or do you think it's really better to take the 2 channels? (I know I will not be able to have it shipped at $200, but I try, I would love to!!!).

We've had some e-mail system glitches at the shop. I've been discussing it on our Facebook page the last few days -- the long of the short is that if you sent a message before February 1st and didn't get a response there is a HIGH likelihood that your message was lost; it is not being ignored but it simply isn't here. Hello, One of my friend wants something to power his Xcon (in a 3.5ft3 net ported box). He wanted a Sundown 3500 D, but there are some really good deals on some 3000's. Do you think a used(from Sundown) or a refurb(from Db-r) 3000 can give the sub all the power it needs ? I think the 3500 is "better", but more expensive too ! How can they be compared ? AT 2 OHMS ONLY !!! BTW what to you think about used or refurbished amplifier ? I live in a Hot island (30° C all year long) so the ampp must be reliable. I would not like to send any amp back to the USA, shipping is about 200$ !!!
