Okay I'm looking to upgrade from the SA-12's to the new Z12's. I'm going to be powering them with a SAZ-3500D. My concern is designing a new enclosure. I have a slot ported enclosure (3.5 cubes tuned to 32Hz) I would like a ported enclosure using aero ports. My current enclosure measures 36" x 19" x 17". I would like to keep it around that size, any ideas would be appreciated

Here is what i have noticed! when i turn on my car and the music starts to play the sub dones't kick in for a good 2-6seconds (i haven't done an official timing yet) as soon as i turn my car on though (turn the deck on i mean) the amps and fans all turn on, then the front stage first up right away and in a few seconds the sub will turn on. my question is why is this delay happening? did i do something wrong? i am currently using a relay for both my amps and fans so there shouldnt' be a problem. plus the amp is turning on right away so i dont' know what is up? maybe this is common i don't know so i thought i would ask! 1-15in NS 1- sae 1200d 4- fans 1- 100.4 2-batcap 20…

to start i will tell you what i have.... 99 s10 ext cab. 2 15" nightshades v1, saz 3500D, current box is wedge syle, 7 cubes at 31hz, 90.75 sq inches of port, slot port firing up along the back. now ive tried a few things and many box's, i haven't been able to make it loud on the lows, and sound clean, its loud, but its not clean sounding to me. ive tried tuning higher, but then it wont hammer the lows like i wanted it to. so im debating on trying some aero ports, or selling these and buying 4 sa-12's and hoping the play better? what do you guys suggest i do?, also to describe the sound i hear is like a chuffing sound, and gets worse with window open. very hard to explain…

I had decided to go with another set of 18s and swap amps too. But, I really would like to get alot of my room back. So, I will sale my bl 18's and keep both sundown saz 1500d's. I would like to change to either 2 12" nightshades or 1 12 or 15" with both amps strapped on 1. I have 20 cube box now, so anything smaller I will get alot of room back. Any suggestions on those above or possibly Z15?

  13. Started by Canaan,

Just got a shipment of a few in this morning to try out. These little guys look mean. Doing 2-10's sealed for a customer in a mid-90's ext cab chevy on a DD CM1. Should have the vehicle in on Thursday, can't wait to see what they can do. I didn't realize just how shallow these subs were until I unboxed them. Looks like I can easily do 1-10" ported in ~1.3cuft net behind the seat of 99-07 crewcab Chevy/GMC. I have been doing 1 or 2-8" subs in these vehicles, a single SD-2-10" looks like it would make a very nice inexpensive sub for this type of install. Gonna have to try that pretty soon

  15. hi, my truck has 2 jump seats. ( one on each side) and i only need 1 so i figure that i can use the empty the space to mount my sax100.2 for my 2 sdl v1 12" and my soon to be sax100.4 under the driver's seat and use the passenger side as the access to the one jump seat so it wount get kicked or anything. and i am wondering will this cause any heating issue's with the sax100.2 because it will have a cover on it to make it look farirly stock, i was thinking of maybe adding a cross flow type fan but i figure i would ask before i go ahead and do it. if u want i can most pics of it tomorrow,

  22. i've tried 2 boxes, and i've yet to get "there" the first box sounds absolutley amazing, goes really deep. only complaint, it sounds like its hitting the spider maybe?(what i was told) certain bass notes make a metal-to metal sqeaking sound. (defintaly from inside the box, not a car/hatch rattle) 34 to 39hz sounds great, exactly how i loved it specs on box"(26x12x18) .7cu ft behind sub, 44" long port (11sq in. port area) next box: .3cu ft behind sub, 48" long port (10sq in port area) this box allowed the volume to go further before; the bass was a lot tighter, and hit harder; but again, making a metal-to metal clipping/sqeaking sound. it was a tigher, higher hz sounding b…

well, i got on here for bout the last year, and decided i wanted to get back into some stereo's. Anyway last week i ordered a 12" BL with options, and decided to go ahead and get my amps too. So, I just ordered a saz-1500D and a SAX-100.4. I am anxious to get all hooked up, I have always bought stuff locally or a few things from woofersetc.com. So, pretty excited to try something besides kicker, alpine, mtx, crossfire, jl, or rockford. Thats bout all there is here. Will post pics when i get them. Thanks sundown, again

  25. Started by Owners1,

Currently, I have a Memphis Mojo 4kw amp with 2 odyssey 2150 batteries + stock in a Hummer H2. I have already had to send in my amp to get fixed previously and I am trying to avoid that again. I was thinking about selling it off and buying a SAZ-3000D but I was wondering how hot they run because the only spot in my truck to mount the amp is directly behind the seat on the box which leaves about 1 inch of clearance for heat to escape. Also, the alternator is stock but I have not dropped below 12 volts at full tilt so I was wondering the output of the saz-3000d at 12v because I know the Mojo is not giving me anywhere near 4000.
