to start i will tell you what i have.... 99 s10 ext cab. 2 15" nightshades v1, saz 3500D, current box is wedge syle, 7 cubes at 31hz, 90.75 sq inches of port, slot port firing up along the back. now ive tried a few things and many box's, i haven't been able to make it loud on the lows, and sound clean, its loud, but its not clean sounding to me. ive tried tuning higher, but then it wont hammer the lows like i wanted it to. so im debating on trying some aero ports, or selling these and buying 4 sa-12's and hoping the play better? what do you guys suggest i do?, also to describe the sound i hear is like a chuffing sound, and gets worse with window open. very hard to explain…

I had decided to go with another set of 18s and swap amps too. But, I really would like to get alot of my room back. So, I will sale my bl 18's and keep both sundown saz 1500d's. I would like to change to either 2 12" nightshades or 1 12 or 15" with both amps strapped on 1. I have 20 cube box now, so anything smaller I will get alot of room back. Any suggestions on those above or possibly Z15?

Just got a shipment of a few in this morning to try out. These little guys look mean. Doing 2-10's sealed for a customer in a mid-90's ext cab chevy on a DD CM1. Should have the vehicle in on Thursday, can't wait to see what they can do. I didn't realize just how shallow these subs were until I unboxed them. Looks like I can easily do 1-10" ported in ~1.3cuft net behind the seat of 99-07 crewcab Chevy/GMC. I have been doing 1 or 2-8" subs in these vehicles, a single SD-2-10" looks like it would make a very nice inexpensive sub for this type of install. Gonna have to try that pretty soon

I just got my saz 1000d amp and saw that it had 2 sets of speaker outputs labeled A and B. Do i only need to use one of them for one sub to get my full 1000 watts or both of them?

i've tried 2 boxes, and i've yet to get "there" the first box sounds absolutley amazing, goes really deep. only complaint, it sounds like its hitting the spider maybe?(what i was told) certain bass notes make a metal-to metal sqeaking sound. (defintaly from inside the box, not a car/hatch rattle) 34 to 39hz sounds great, exactly how i loved it specs on box"(26x12x18) .7cu ft behind sub, 44" long port (11sq in. port area) next box: .3cu ft behind sub, 48" long port (10sq in port area) this box allowed the volume to go further before; the bass was a lot tighter, and hit harder; but again, making a metal-to metal clipping/sqeaking sound. it was a tigher, higher hz sounding b…

Just wanted to say thanks to Jacob for this B Stock 15" Nightshade. Came in about 1 day, and UPS managed to get it here in one piece(which isnt always the case). Its def one of the larger drivers i have seen 1st hand. It'll be going in a box slightly under 4cuft tuned to 40hz for spl off a SAZ 1500D. Ill follow up with a review in the following days. Here are a couple pics i took right out of the box. Again thanks Jacob.

Right now I have 2 BL 18's D2 running off 2 strapped 1500ds with final load of 2 ohm. If I ran 3 D2's what would amp put out and would it be stable for daily? Or should I buy another 1500d, and just run 1 to each sub

I'm working my way through building my system and I'm starting to think I might not want to go with the 2 Kinetik HC2400's I was originally going to put in the trunk due to space restrictions. I have a Kinetik HC1800 under the hood, DCPowerinc 250a alt with 14.6/15.6 switchable MLA installed. I need enough juice to power 3 SAX-100.4D amps at 4ohms and 1 SAZ-3000D at 1ohm. So, keeping the power under the hood the same, would it be ok instead of 2 HC2400's in the trunk to go with the smaller HC600's (maybe 4 or 6 of them)? I could easily fit those anywhere and still have some cargo area left over.

SAZ-2500 Will be pushing four of my VVX-12's. Can't wait!! Amp is a great size as well for the power it packs. PS - Don't mind the watermarks, they are for my web store and what not, don't want them flying around the web

Okay so I got my build done about 5-6 months ago and wired it up and have been running it at .4-.5 ohms with no issues. All of the sudden last Friday it just cut off, no smoke no obvious burn marks. Just went into protect and would not come back out. I know that running it this low can cause issues and so I just went ahead and sent it off to db-r and they think i fried the drive board or the input. My question is can anyone think of what may have caused this. Is it just because i was running it at the .4-.5 ohm load, or can it be something else that i can fix and prevent this from happening again. My electrical is as followed. Big 3 in 2/0 2 250 amp Mechman alts 2 runs…

Does the new heatsink on the sax-100.2 look the same as the SAE-1200D? Just curious because I thought it would be all black but the one I got today from db-r wasn't.

Hey guys -- our Z v.2 line is now SOLD OUT. If you have a super emergency need for one I can dig up some used motors from our legendary "sea of woofers" in the top secret back room... but as for new that is it for them! People that have *already* ordered them or already asked me should be good but no new sales will be available unless a used motor will do. Z v.3 motors are coming in with the next container of SA woofers and SD-2 woofers in ~90 days... we will be doing final assembly here in Troutman, NC for at least several hundred units. I am pleased with the legacy of the Z v.2 line -- we actually sold more of these than the Nightshade v.1 line (seems like everyon…

Never owned Sundown before but I researched for almost a month all kinds of amplifiers. Price wasn't as big of a concern to me as quality. I read countless posts about Sundown on the internet and never came across a single negative about them. So I decided I'd power my system with Sundown. I preordered the SAE-1200D knowing I'd have to wait a month or so to get it. That was a tough decision too because I hate to wait. I paid for that last night and today I go to check my e-mail and I see a UPS tracking notification. I then see another e-mail from Jacob Fuller which says he is sending me my SAE-1200D already! They say 1st impressions mean a lot and I have to say my 1st im…

I have a JVC KD-AHD59 HU, front components and a Polk 4ohm SVC sub. I am planning to run the front components on ch 1/2 and bridge the sub on ch 3/4. The HU has 4 preamp outputs, line out L/R for the fronts and L/R outputs for the sub. I'm confused by the L/R sub outputs. Can I run those 2 sub outputs into ch 3/4 inputs on the amp and bridge the amp outputs for the sub? Seems odd to me. Please advise. Kent
