Quick question. I know the recommended is 1 cube, but what is the smallest size box you can use for an SA-12 with 1-1.2k watts rms? Thanks!

Built a pair of drop-ins for a customer so I took a few shots. Yes... we stock parts even for our 2" coil drivers - I can't stand to see sub motors get thrown away (hang on E8 v.1 guys... working on updated parts for those). * Top triple joint action - we assemble these ourselves so it's all done with heavy duty CA glue like the Z v.2 and Nightshades. * Side view. Surround is a little bowed from sitting in it's shipping box, the cone is straight no problem * Rear triple joint support ring in place like the bigger SA woofers. * Your SA-8 make a ticking sound at high excursion? Guess what ? It moved about 28mm rearward and your triple joint ring hit the top plate. Need…

Hey guys -- our Z v.2 line is now SOLD OUT. If you have a super emergency need for one I can dig up some used motors from our legendary "sea of woofers" in the top secret back room... but as for new that is it for them! People that have *already* ordered them or already asked me should be good but no new sales will be available unless a used motor will do. Z v.3 motors are coming in with the next container of SA woofers and SD-2 woofers in ~90 days... we will be doing final assembly here in Troutman, NC for at least several hundred units. I am pleased with the legacy of the Z v.2 line -- we actually sold more of these than the Nightshade v.1 line (seems like everyon…

I have 2 sd1v2 10", not sure how to connect the wires on this diagram above. Do I solder, crimp, or something? It shows to hook a wire + to + and -to- but do I have to put two wires in one sub terminal? http://www.jbl.com/car/product_support/Sub...aspx?type=2-4-1

Was wondering why the 3500d isn't available in the SSA store anymore? I checked before I bought mine alittle over a week ago and it wasn't listed? I didn't see anything about them being discontinued.

Currently running a Exodus Shiva X2 SVC 4ohm in a 1.5cuft sealed box. Its an awesome subwoofer BUT, I was wanting to add another one but since they are no longer available thats not possible. So i'm looking to upgrade for more output and perhaps deeper extension. This brings me to the SD X series. Anyone have any opinions on whether the X 15 would be a worthwhile upgrade? My amp right now is a Soundstream PCX 1500D, specs claim 800watts 4ohm, 1100watts 2ohm and 1500watts 1ohm. I would get the X 15 D2 so I can wire it to 1ohm and would like to go sealed. No crazy about ported in the car. Fronts are Hertz HSK 165 XL so midbass and output are no problem. I kno…

Got a Nightshade 12 D1 and I have no box making skills so I'm at the mercy of someone else to have a box made. What would you guys recommend? Should I have it built at the local Car Audio shop, or would a place like this be ok? http://www.klausaudio.com/subwoofer-boxes/...p;x=23&y=10 If this site isn't any good, anybody have any alternatives online? Thanks.

So, I wake up today get in my car and on my way to school, just to back up as a helpful info, I unhooked 1 of my subs the other day due to wiring and needed a bigger gauge. Sounded fine no problem with one sub everything was wired correct. So this morning I come out with a bigger Ga wire hook it up turn the amp on and it's barely playing so, I turn it completely off from the remote wire. I'm at school I unhook everything bring the amp in pop it open everything looks fine bring my car around to my shop class hook it all up and as soon as I plug my power wire in It arced just like a welder and my amp is up in smoke so, unhook it all open it up and take a look to what looks …

They are here early -- original ETA was October. * Current MAP is $299 * RMS is still rated at 600-watts * The coil is the same as the 10/12/15" models * The motor is 10mm wider, 10mm taller, and the top plate is 20% thicker than the 10/12/15" models -- in order to drive the heavier moving mass * The spider is an 8 3/8" with standard XL leads (10/12/15 are 7" spider and recently also got XL leads) * It features a newly custom tooled high roll foam surround * DUAL-2 SPECS * DUAL-4 SPECS

My channel #2 isn't working on my amp. I get very little sound and it's very distorted. I checked all the RCA and speaker connections on the amp and behind the headunit, I checked the fuses, I tried switching speakers, I tried unhooking my SAE-1000D, I tried switching polarity, nothing worked. Any idea what could be wrong? I took the amp out of the car. Should I look for anything inside the amp?
