I finally got this box built and a chance to test this speaker out. It is replacing 2 15" polkmomo drivers on a crunch amp. The box is roughly the same size as the other but this one lets the seat lock into the up position. It is about 3.25 ft3 at 35hz. There is no bracing or 45's in the corners. Its facing up right now as I find a place for the amp(s). But it sounds better forward. I know its a little ghetto but Ive just recently started building my own stuff. As you can see it is hooked up to the SAX125.2. It is bridged at 4 ohm so its only about 450 watts. Gain up halfway and it still rocks. This driver sounds very nice. This driver is of high quality and great sound.…

Just got a shipment of a few in this morning to try out. These little guys look mean. Doing 2-10's sealed for a customer in a mid-90's ext cab chevy on a DD CM1. Should have the vehicle in on Thursday, can't wait to see what they can do. I didn't realize just how shallow these subs were until I unboxed them. Looks like I can easily do 1-10" ported in ~1.3cuft net behind the seat of 99-07 crewcab Chevy/GMC. I have been doing 1 or 2-8" subs in these vehicles, a single SD-2-10" looks like it would make a very nice inexpensive sub for this type of install. Gonna have to try that pretty soon

To order a drop-in re-cone assembly e-mail [email protected]. To reduce back-and-forth e-mails ALWAYS include the following : 1) What you are ordering -- Model, Coil Configuration, Etc. 2) If you already have a basket or not; please check below for any special notes. 3) If you need ANY custom options please specify up front. 4) !!! YOUR ADDRESS AND NAME !!! 5) A picture of what you have goes a long way to be SURE we are talking about the same thing. 6) When you send payment include ALL details of your drop-in on the notes(model, size, coil configuration, options, etc) IT WILL TAKE, ON AVERAGE, 3-4 weeks for a built item like a drop-in to be completed. It may take l…

Lots of things going on around here have resulted in an e-mail backlog again. Started around the 14th of January -- some e-mails scattered around from then until now need responding. So if you are waiting thanks for the patience and I'll catch up as soon as I can.

I have two to build so far -- IIRC this one was a drill slip into the surround. In any event -- just finished the first one and it looks neat so I took a few photos : * This is where it really varies from our other kits. The spider spacer along with dual triple joint rings. You cannot see the 2nd triple joint ring but it is in between the spider layers. It did take a good bit of time to assemble; which is why these kits are "expensive" compared to our other SA kits.

(I originally posted this in the main subwoofer forum, but didn't realize there was a Sundown specific forum. Since I'm leaning towards Sundown, I'm re-posting here) What's up SSA? Hoping I could get some advice from you guys. I need a sub for my boat, but I'm just not sure which one will be best for my application. I like everything I've read about sundown so I'm leaning in that direction. I had an 12" Alpine type R powered by an Alpine MRP500 in a crappy best buy enclosure...I took it out, and looking for more The new sub(s) primary purpose is to get girls to dance on the boat. Most of the music played will be fist pumping club music, e.g., house, hip hop, and some rock…

I just wanted to say thank you Jacob for your exceptional customer service and especially for what you did for me on Friday. I was not expecting that at all. I will always remember that. You have a customer for life my friend. I cannot wait to see the new shop once everything is in place.

Well you will be able to get one again soon. We made a special run of SAZ-1000Ds just for WoofersEtc.com that is due in about two weeks. Many people are looking for mates to their 1000Ds and this will be another, and the final chance to get one! This will likely be a one-time deal for a final run on these amps. I'll get more information up on pricing and whatnot once they actually arrive here at our facility.

Am looking at the T/S parameters for the SA-12 and noticed that the D2’s RE is listed as 4.33 Ohms when tested in series. From what I’m used to seeing, the RE values are typically less than the advertised impedance rating so the 4.33 feels a bit high for a sub with dual 2 ohm coils. The D4's RE value of 7.09 is right in line with what I'd expect. Could someone please help me understand what’s going on here with the D2? Thanks!

Hello Guys. I have a true s.o.s situation here. One of my beloved Nightshades 15's is coming apart. The screws that secure the basket to the motor are all loose and the motor is just about ready to fall off the basket. The sub is fine as far as the coil goes, but it still has to be reconed. Jacob is trying to get me another sub for the show on Saturday, but may not have one by then. I would like to know if any one has any 15" subs I can borrow just for the show. I prefer dual ones if anybody has any. If not, I could use one dual 2 to go with my other working dual 2. I am trying to qualify for the NSPL World Finals. Any one that can help me on this dilemma, I will buy them…

right now i have 1 1500d that i havent even taken out of box yet. I was going to run 1 12" BL, but now i have traded vehicles. Now thinking of running 2 15's or 2 18s. Since i already have the 1 1500d, which would draw less current running 2 1500d's or just 1 3000d? I may just sale the 1500d just to make easier on the wiring. thanks

How underrated is the 100.2? I saw jacob post that it is extremely underrated... I was just curious if anyone has any figures.
