Sundown Audio

I ordered a 50.4 in hopes of bridging it to get the proper power I need out of my midbasses. After purchasing the amplifier, I looked at the wiring diagram for bridging and it only shows mono subwoofer. I wanted to run these at stereo for my midbasses xover actively from 60-1.2kHz. Is bridging out of the question?

What is the displacement for an 18'' Nightshade? Couldnt find it on the site. Also, how much room behind the pole does it need to vent in the box? I was thinking a few inches is good?

It looks like I'll finally be getting these bad boys in the car soon. Box is built, kicks are built, just need to mount the 8's in the doors and dress everything up. Soon I'll be installing the actual components and setting everything up. I've never done a ported enclosure before so I'd like to get some advise on the subsonic filter from you guys. This install is with the 2 copper coil 15" nightshades which have a Fs of: Fs: 30.9 Hz settling to around 28 Hz after break in. I have the box tuned to approx 29.5 to 30hz. What should I set my subsonic filter at so I don't unload these things? They will be powered by one SAZ-3000D at 1ohm. Thanks again for all your help.…

I have my 1500d mounted on the back fold-down seat in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am SE1. The problem is, the temperatures here are peaking @ triple digits here lately, and average temps are around 98F-99F. Well, when I get in the car (usually around noon, lunch break), the amp is already hot, I cant leave my hand on it more than about 5-10 seconds. Listen 1st of all I posted on here a few days ago about not getting my invoice. I had to go out of town for a job and could not post. This is the 1st chance I've had. Hi all, I've just installed my new amp : a saz 1500. I had the saz1000 on my 15" xcon. I did it this past week end, so I could not buy what I needed. I used the distribution block I already had. I have a 0 ga wire coming from the under hood battery to the trunk, and coming trough a dist block with 3 "out" : 1 for the sax50.4 amp with a 60amp fuse and the 2 others are now used for the saz1500 with a 80 amp fuse for each wire. So, I have 2 4ga wires that goes into the bass amp instead of one 0ga from the dist block to the amp. Is it safe ? I did not change the ground wire from 4 ga to 0ga, but I will do it today because it might not be safe at all now! Is it worth changi…

Both Brandon and I will be out of town from the 5th to the 14th this month (January 2013) for a business trip that involves CES and several other sub-trips while we are on the west coast. For the 2 18" mts in the mini.. Main problem is electrical. Not sure on it yet.. I'm most likely going to get one 3000d first (due to money) so I can run it @ .5 to both subs. Then if I feel the need, I can get another, and switch it up to both amps strapped @ 2 ohms for both subs. Subs are dual 2. What do you guys think? Mids and highs amp will also consist of two 100.2s, and one 100.4.

I have a box for 2-15's already built....7cubes at 32hz with 102" of port area. Was wanting to try out some sa15's in it and see how they do, I have ran sa10's and I was impressed. What do you guys think, power will be a crescendo bc3500d Too much power? Too big a box? Will be for daily pounding and competing

i have one of my 100.4 bridged on my mid-bass my question is if i hook up the remote gain will it only change 1 side {ch 3/4} or will it change both sides {ch 1/2 and ch3/4} ? i think only ch 3/4 will be changed.

i went to the MECA comp in E town this past saturday and compteted in street 2. i won first place by default lol.. but my 08 mazda 3 sedan did put up a 144.9 with a single 15'' FI BL and a single SAZ1500 i am strapping two 1500s on the sub for the next show.. as well as some more tweakin.....

i am going to be Strapping 2 Saz-2000D. my question is, will i need my subwoofer to be D1? or will i be ok with D2? i was doing some research and i couldent find this answer. thanks an advance guys

Looking through the owner's anual for my 125.2 and see they have a diagram for 3 channel tri-mode. Anyone using it? How much could I expect going to each speaker? I plan on a another amp for the mids and highs, but I was just wondering.

Guy I work with has a bxi2608D, hifonics says it does 2600x1 at 1ohm. Probably doesnt do that much, but he is wanting to run 1 12" or 15" sub. Would nightshade or the z-15 be able to handle that? thanks

I checked all wires, rca's, all speakers work on all 3 other channels but channel 4 just has his sound in it. Changed rca's, same thing, how much to send in and get it fixed? thanks

Hey I was wondering if I was giving my speakers the most power I could give them. See I have the Sundown SAE-1200D installed and I have a Autotek Mean Machine 100.4 also installed. The sundown has a 150 amp rating and the autotek has a 70 amp rating. My power wire is 0 GA but I still have my old 100amp ANL fuse on the line from when I had 4 ga power wire...the ANL fuse hasnt blown for the 2 weeks Ive been playing my system and I usually have it close to or it not at full tilt. Shouldnt those two amps have blown that 100Amp ANL fuse if it was playing rated RMS???? The autotek is 100 watts x 4 and you all know what the 1200 does....

I hope this isn't a stupid question. A friend of mine has the SAE-1000D and wants to run it at 2 ohms to power his pair of JL Audio W3v3 13.5s with 600 watts until he has the money to get the electrical upgrades he needs for his car. He bought the amp so he could expand his system when ready. Right now he has a Batcap 800. He eventually wants to get a bigger alternator and 2 good drycell batteries in place of the Batcap and a 2nd SAE-1000D and 2 Icon 15s, but for the time being just wants to use his JLs. How should he treat his gain for the JLs being the amp is going to be ran at 2ohms rather than the amps max at 1ohms?

I am looking for some cool designs with Sundown Audio logo for a t-shirt. I've seen one before, it was with some amp guts in the back ground and the logo in the foreground. If someone can post that in good quality so I can give it for a print out, it will be great. Also looking for other ideas. I am going to make a white tee, so something that will look good in white back ground... but, just post whatever you got.
