I woke up, and sitting in my dining room ( my little brother brought my delivery in) was 2 boxes. And the other box was the first half of my wiring order.

Went from 2 saz 1500s to 4. We pulled a 157.6 at the head. It was good enough for a best of show at our April fools MECA event. Thought I would just share the info. Amps are killer!!!!

We put the Nightshade in Sean's truck and beat the crap out of it with 4x SAZ-1500Ds at 1/2 ohm nominal each (about 1.15 ohm each with impedance rise): * 4.5 ft^3 box tuned to around 35 Hz or so (same box from SDE post) * Front of the woofer in the "wall" setup Peak was at 54 Hz and SPL is as follows: 40.9 watts @ 133.0 dB 141.1 watts @ 137.8 dB 311.3 watts @ 140.7 dB 513.4 watts @ 142.7 dB 811.5 watts @ 144.5 dB 1731.2 watts @ 146.9 dB 2845 watts @ 148.1 dB 4505 watts @ 149.2 dB 7081 watts @ 151.2 dB -- Still gained 2 dB at this point, very little compression The next step blew one coil on the Nigthshade... so we didn't get any more SPL readings. Okay... so this has been under wraps for a while, but it's time to talk about it now. These will probably be coming out around the same time as the SAZ-3000D so I'll let out some information now! If I wire 2 subs down each dual d1 coils down to 2 ohms meaning each sub is wired down to 2 ohms does the amp bridge that internally to 1 ohm..

hey i saw the amp has 4x40 amp fuses. i have also talked to a couple sundown guys who say you can get 2500 rms at .5 ohms with 14 volts. i dont understand how you can get 2500 watts from 160 amp's ?? because 160 X 14.4 and 85% efficiency equals 1958 watts i dont doubt that the amp puts out the power i just would like an explination why

well here is the first of 2 of the 1500D's i will be having in my possession soon hopefully. But this isnt the first Sundown amp i have i also have the 100.2 which is a badass amp i love it hopefully the 1500D will do some damage lol

It not a big deal, but lately when i turn my remote knob for my amp down, it makes the sub pop a few times.. Is this an indication the knob is bad and i should buy a new one? Mike

it will be awhile before i can get an amp but i would like to get a sae1000 to power a 18 BL. so where can you get them. like what dealers will sell them. thanks

I've never used the remote on my past amps because they never came w/ one so I want to ask what does the remote control when set to max. Max gain on the amp or max gain set by the amp?
