This SAZ-1500D was shipped out for testing purposes and then shipped back to Sundown Audio afterwards. It looks pretty much brand new, although it is used so it has some finger prints and whatnot on it. Hey, jacob or whoeevr is helping me out here, i need some input on the voltage im looking for on my dmm to acheive the full rms. I need some clarification on if i did the calculations right. 1st my sub amp, i running it at 1 ohm load to get the rated 1000 rms. so i would do sqrt(1000*1) = 31.6? 2nd (part i don't get) when i run my 100.4 bridged to 2 channels at 325 rms @ 4 ohm load, how do i do the equation? is it sqrt(325*4) or sqrt(650*4)? so would it be 36 volts, or 51 volts? I found it really outrageously high for the 100.4 to have a 51 volt supply when bridged, so i hope i right at guessing its 36 volts per channel bridged correct? Also, would you recommend runnin…

well last night sundown audio claimed there first victom the sub will remain nameless (for now ) but yea it didnt even play for 5 min an it umm yea lol later ill post picks but i was higly over powering the sub i had 2 saz-1500 strapped wide open lol good time

just wondering what kind of power and features you are planning for the other line, and what they might look like?

Just had two questions. (1) Can a pair of SAZ-1500d be strapped together at 0.5 ohm? And (2) would a 200 or 300amp ALT, red top up front, and a pair of Kinetik HC2000s be enough current to power them correctly? Thanks in advance.

143.3db out of a trunk, unmodified rear deck, seats up with a single 15, a new NSPL World Record. Found out my alternator was dying and was only charging at 11.6V also, so burps were done in the 10.7V range also, so not too bad for the 1st time out with the overnight install. Another show on April 8th, at that show we'll get serious and throw down some 149-150's with the seats up.

Over the last few days I was home and able to run a couple tests with my gear. I was pleasantly surprised to see these numbers when I clamped my pair of SAZ-1500Ds strapped at 2 ohms (1-per), car on with factory alt, off of a little 600CA battery: ~3,100WRMS I built my first attempt at a box strictly geared towards SPL, and after tinkering with it a bit worked up to a score of 146.0 dbdrag style, using these amps and two 12" RE SXs out of a saturn trunk. Just figured I'd share the results... I have big plans for this summer once I get a hold of a new battery and some time to build/test.

Hey guys, Looks like we lost alot of database information in the upgrade process. I was able to re-post both Sean and Loyd's test results. Just thought I would post some pictures of my 1500D's. I did 149.2DBs with 2 Sundown 1500D's on an 100 amp fuse. The sub used was an Atomic APX. The score was at the headrest. Without fusing during my clinic I did 149.9DBs. All in all very impressed with the amps can't wait to get 2 more. I didn't have much time to test before the show but I believe with a little more tuning I'll be over a 150 at the head. The 149.1 was the second day.

I was able to dig up the old 0.5 ohm warranty coverage thread through a Google search using their "Cached" feature. Cheap mass storage is a glorious thing. That is all
