Ok I have a saz1500d and a ns v.1 12 inch sub. Box is currently 1.45 cubes after sub displacement and current port. Port is a single 4inch aeroport which is as long as can be without touching sub, don't remember actual length, however, I do know I punched it into the port calculator on 12volt.com and it was 38.3 hz roughly. I want to bring it down to about 32-34hz. My question is would it make a big difference if I used a 3inch port with my flared ends of my 4inch aeroport? Or should I just go with two 2 inch aeroports. hi all i have a sax 100.4 and a saz1500d ... i want to change my install a bit ... do something a bit more visually appealing now in the pics below ud see one of the amps " floating " in the center ... i want to do a symmetrical pair like that the lower board will have a small fan and it will have gaps in the board exposing the heatsink a bit so now my questions 1 : has anyone ever installed their sundown amps in an area with minimal ventilation and did it have any issues ? 2 : do you think the setup will have adequate cooling ? 3 : what improvements do u think i can make?

how long do you have to break in nightshades befor you can play em loud

Hello Guys. I have a true s.o.s situation here. One of my beloved Nightshades 15's is coming apart. The screws that secure the basket to the motor are all loose and the motor is just about ready to fall off the basket. The sub is fine as far as the coil goes, but it still has to be reconed. Jacob is trying to get me another sub for the show on Saturday, but may not have one by then. I would like to know if any one has any 15" subs I can borrow just for the show. I prefer dual ones if anybody has any. If not, I could use one dual 2 to go with my other working dual 2. I am trying to qualify for the NSPL World Finals. Any one that can help me on this dilemma, I will buy them…

bought a 3000d thursday, hooked it up and its an absolute beast. cant wait to get my second one, 2 100.2s and 100.4 when funds allow me to lol. one thing though, i did PM you jake, is that the screw for one of the negative speaker inputs, the head on the screw just cracked off. i tightened it down the same as the power/ground/remote, not over doing it, and those were fine. maybe just a crappy made screw

Just wondering what the 100.4 would do bridged at 8 ohm.

there was a fucking short out between the driver seat and the head unit and now i have 2 blown E8's...... anyone reconing these? or buying up E8 s??

I have had lots of thoughts about hosting a competition in my neck of the woods. I have a shop that I know would be willing to team up with me to do it. I would want to eventually get the event to grow into something on a larger scale with SQ judging as well, but would start off with bassrace and db drags. Any comments or suggestions for hosting a show (especially if you have done so yourself) are great appreciated. Would also be great to see how many guys from Team Sundown could make it.

So, I reinstalled all my equipment last night in my vehicle (4SA8's on a SAZ-1500D) and starting hearing this really odd tingy vibration. I immediately freaked out and thought that I blew a sub or subs. I localized it to one sub in particular and noticed that when I pushed down slightly on the dustcap that it went away. I've never had anything like this happen before and was clueless. After a sleepless night of worry and kicking myself in the ass repeatedly, I sent Jacob an email this morning around 9. Got a Nightshade 12 D1 and I have no box making skills so I'm at the mercy of someone else to have a box made. What would you guys recommend? Today i got to meet a member from here (Brandon Daily) that had a 18" Nightshade, and let me tell you guys it was amazing.......it is loud and really crushed all notes. It was nice to meet a member from here. Thank you Brandon for demoing it for me, it was great and I'm sure we will see eachother again.

I had to strengthen my SPAM filter today... finally got to the end of my rope on it -- I had 300 SPAM e-mails over the weekend and it's a pain to sort through and find the good ones I need to answer.
