what would cause fuses to blow on the amp? i dont know if the plastic casing on the fuses just expanded from poppin or the casing of the fuse was slightly melted. there are 3 30a fuses, i am using a 100a maxi fuse on the battery wire (4g). i was using 12g for the speaker wire, witch i now upgraded to 9g after installing the new fuses. the amp seemed to be fine when i checked it out after cutting out. is there a certain fuse you recommend for the amp or size? also, should i use the same size wire to wire the sub inside of the box as same as the speaker wire i got running from the amp? its probably about 12g inside. thanks

These all have original boxes + remotes. They are all "new case" style amps. Cosmetic condition varies slightly between them. ONE YEAR warranty included. $350 shipped each in continental USA. These are USED amplifiers... they are not NEW. Cosmetic imperfections are a given... if you plan to complain about any small cosmetic blemishes don't buy them. I will say it again... these are not new and are not necessarily mint condition. * Tape was applied to the face of this amp, you could scrub the adhesive off.

Still need to clean it up, wash it, and get all the saw dust and crap off everything so it looks better. Pretty dirty right now though. Not finished though. Going to have more highs inside the cabin when I get money (obviously), glassed doors, glassed center console, and some extra stuff on the amprack like more speakers and some logos on the black thing. Its not anywhere near "finished", but its all playing, and it looks pretty good now. As said, still need to put the line driver in and hook up my alternator. Will make a huge difference since right now the batteries sit at like 12v and the voltage drops so low that the amps shut off. Havent gotten the subs even close to …

Well I got another itch to build another box, so since I was near out of wood and low on funds I was looking around my garage and spy'd a box I had a long while back sitting in the corner. A standard CRX box but with a top plate for 4 10s, so it's 29"x29"x14". So I decided to see what I could do with it, took out the SPAX screws from the top plate, pounded from under it with a hammer and it came off pretty clean. Then fab'd up a box to see if there was some workable area, came up with this. 29x14x16, with a net volume including port of 2.28cuft, there will be 1 45 in the port corner and then .14cuft taken out for the sub itself, should land around 2cuft. Ok, so some our Team Sundown guys got their NS-1's and clamped them on a resistor...this basically means there's no rise the resistor pack used for this test is 0.7 ohms Power supply 8 Stinger SP 2150's resting at 12.9v measured 80 volts 114 amps voltage drop 11,8v Power: 9120 watts guys said the amps is a beast in terms of low impedance stability, stayed cool the whole time the vid Effficiency 984 Amps of draw at 11,8 volts 78% efficiency at 0.7 ohms is damn good

well i have a long story here... i sold my sa8v2s and shipped them to the buyer.. well he got them and tested them with a dmm and one subs coils read 1.6ohm each (d2 sub) and one sub read 3.0ohm each coil (d4 sub) i was supposed to get 2 d4 subs. so now, i have to give dude his money back, pay for return shipping ($110 both ways now) and as far as im concerned, both 8s are shot... i bought them brand new off ssa 2 months ago. some may ask.. why didnt you check em with a dmm when u got em? well the way i see it, i shouldnt have to being i bought them brand new..... also, when i took them out of my truck, my amp was in protection.. hopefully its not shot but it aint looking…

I have two SA12s on a memphis amp giving 1500 watts, Subs are dual 2 ohms and their wired to 2 ohms at the amp. During low notes I hear a pop from the woofers, only one woofer, never two pops. Just one pop every second or so during low bass. Pulled the subs out and nothing looks wrong. Felt the cone after some long play time and it's cold so it's not thermal. No distortion at all either. So is the sub bottoming out?

Hi purchased this sundown 1500d and i am needing a lil help with this amp setup. I need to know the difference btw the bass boost and the gain. I am using a stock hu using a david navone loc. Fist of all can this amp take more then 6 volts input voltage? 2nd how should i adjust the bass boost with the gain? I am not doing it right i only can tune by ear and it seems i keep clipping the amp because when i play a song when it hits a low note on the song it bottoms out on the sub pops ect. i turn it down problem goes away. How should i be adjust the gain/bass boost?

I see this sub is highly recommended everywhere. where can i see the specs?

So... ill be buying an amp tomorrow... and I found a used saz2000d for $400 shipped. Heard absolutely nothing but good about Sundown. I also found a new Soundstream DTR1.2200d for $260 shipped. (Woofersetc dot com) I've searched and haven't found any complaints on them. I was just wondering what us the upside of buying the sundown for about $140 more with 200 less watts. Or the the downside of buying the Soundstream. This will be powering a XCON 18" D2.

The 10" is done and drying; should be able to play tomorrow. I'll be a tad more careful this time *laughs* Of course I should be safe with the 8 3/8" spider vs. the 9 1/4" on the 12" model as I shouldn't be able to reach quite the level of throw! I've been thinking of wiring my subs lower (see sig) to .25 ohms. Their dual 1s so it should be .25 correct, tried looking for a pic can't find. ( if you have one please post a link). My rise with the amp off is like 1.4 I believe, and close to 2 ohms when playing. Any ideas? Thanx

hi there, i got a saz-1000d with 1 15" re xxx with FI d1 recone i recently hit 145.2db, i got stock alternator a 525cca engine batt and 750cca back in the trunk and my ported box is 4.0cu/ft what else can i do to raise more db's with the same amp cause i saw in this forum this amp can hit 146.8, so can you help me out with some tips to get my goal thanks, sundown rules

This my new setup: 3-Sundown SAE1200D's 3-12" T3 Audio TSS's 2-Kinetiks 2000's in the rear 1-RedTop under the hood And it doesn't sound that good to me. I did have 2 Fi SSD 10's on 1 1200D and this doesn't sound much better.....I don't know what to do next.......any suggestions?

Got a new car today... been wanting one for a while so pulled the trigger. Picked up a 2006 VW GTI 2.0T today Okay, so it's not NEW per-se... but it does look new, and it's new to me! What box type would you guys reccomend for 2 SA-12's on a Saz-2500D? I have a normal ported box around 3.5 cubes tuned to 35 hz that i'm gonna put them in when I get them but would like to start designing a new box so I can get it designed and built as soon as possible. Not looking for numbers just a loud and low daily driver. I know 4th orders are really efficient if designed right. But what about 6th orders and I don't know much about horns but would love to learn. Im Rebuilding my s10 dis yr with sum new goodies i had the sundown z15s on 1 ab 500.1 and now im stepping up to 2 Z15v2s and 2 ab 500.1s and adding more 1/0 and 4 big C& D Batts! The old setup with the Z15s did a 152.4 at 38hz at the headrest meca style on 160amps of fusing for s3! But this yr im movin up classes since i got more power!!!
