I know that they offer the SD1 and SD1v.2 and that they are coming out with the nightshade but the SD1v.2 is too small for me, does not take enough power and the nightshade takes plenty of power but it appears to be geared towards full blown SPL, correct me if I'm wrong. I was wondering if there are going to be any subs to fill the gap between these woofers, a good daily driving sub that can take a good 2-2.5kw RMS. I was also wondering about the amps. I know that the 1500 will do around 2kw and the 3000 will do around 3.5-4kw. However I was wondering if there are going to be any amps that do in between, maybe a SAE-2000 or 2500. Let me know any info thank you.

Wish me luck. I have been so busy at work this week that I just started rebuilding last night. Still got to hook up my amps and batteries then its time to test. I have 9 people in my M2 class and 5 in my DB2 class. If the build comes out as good as I hope I should be bringing home a couple of six ft trophies.

Finally cleared out most of the used item inventory I had accumulated... so I am ready to accept some more trade-ins. For now trade-ins will only be towards pre-orders of the SAZ-3500D. Contact me w/ trade-in quote requests.

I decided to go with 2 sets of CDT components. If i decide to run them active, can i run all 4 tweeters off channels 1 and 2, then run all 4 mids off channels 3 and 4? This should be 2 ohms all channels? thanks

100.2 100 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms 200 x 2 watts @ 2 ohms 400 x 1 watts @ 4 ohms bridged 100.4 100 x 4 watts @ 4 ohms 160 x 4 watts @ 2 ohms 320 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms bridged how much power do both of these amps usually put out, at each of those loads (4 ohms, 2 ohms, and 4 ohms bridged) i got a new job, and i think i want to run 2 sundown 3k's in the MINI, rather than the crunch GP3000D's.....reason i was going for the crunchs is becuase they're cheap. but now that ill be able to afford the sundowns, and hopefully get a deal if i buy it all at once , i can run these.

I'm very intrested in getting 2 3000ds and this would be my first time ever using Sundown and I will be only person within 150miles of me that will be running Sundown and from browsing the forums I see lots of reviews saying they are well under-rated and they put out 3000+true rms @ 1ohm and 14.4volts. I have a damn good eletrical and I can keep my voltage at 14.36v to 14.48v at full tilt. So if anyone can tell me the actual power @ 1ohm and 14.4volts a 3000D can put out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Okay i have been running a 1500d on 4 10" kickers while i wait for my sa-10's . I had another 1500d in closet, so i decided to go ahead and throw it in,and get it strapped, and ready for the sa's . Heres the deal i had the gain set all the way down so as to not destroy the kickers. Added the second 1500d, and now i can set gain to almost 3/4 and its still not as load as with just 1 amp the single was running 1ohm and the 2 was at 1ohm strapped so .5 each. voltage doesnt drop thats not a issue i just cant figure out why its louder with only 1 amp running if 1 was bad it wouldnt work at all strapped? or could that be a problem?

I am nearly finished building my amp rack but recently read quite a few things about amps getting hot and going into thermal protection and got me thinking. I know there is very little airflow if any over my amps due to how my amp rack is setup and the amps being right behind the back seat. Has anyone added fans to their amps to try and keep them cool, any tips on how to go about doing this? I was wondering about maybe removing the bottom cover and just aiming a fan like a 80mm or 120mm computer case fan at the innards of the amp, or maybe machining the bottom cover to hold an exhaust fan inside the amp. I figured I could wire them up with a relay off the remote turn on l…

Hey Jacob, I am looking to make an amp rack in the wheel well and I will be putting 3 amps in it, the 1200D, 100.4 and 125.2 for now.. I was wondering if I do this will I need to add a fan or anything? or do you think it would be better to make an amp rack on the top of the trunk? Perhaps even on the Box if I have room? just wondering what you think I would need if I am forced to go with the wheel well, just don't want them to run hot due to insufficient ventilation. Thx Josh BTW Those amps are quite beefy and look great!

Ok I was planning on strapping 2 saz 1500's to get around 3k watts out of the two. Around this time I was planning on using a full loaded Fi btl 18; but now I've decided I want to run a TC sounds LMS 5400 18. This is the probably being that the lms 5400 is a dual 2 sub which mean .5 ohm which is a NO NO for 2 saz 1500 strapped. Idk what to do. I've considered running 1 amp per VC but I know that if I don't have my setting right for both amps I could really mess some shit up lol. Should I just run 1 per VC or should I sell the amps and buy the Saz 3000? I know the easiest choice would be sell them for the 3k but I would rather run 2 amps then 1 amp. SHIT! lol

i asked this question last week if a factroy 140 amp alt, 2 hc2000's redtop, 4 runs and a big3 could run 2 1500d's and jacob ok'd me. BUT will that alt be able to charge all 3 batteries? i'm asking because not alot of companies make a HO alt for the 2000+devilles yet. it sucks. thanks in advance.

Okay, I think I have it done, my electrical will consist of a 300 amp alternator (Iraggi), A Powermaster S1200) up front, (2) D1200's for the trunk, all wiring for batteries and amps will be 1/0 ga., Subs will be (4) of the SA-12's powered by (2) of the SAZ-1500D's. This is all going into the back of my 2001 Camry, with the box designed by banginAltima (as soon as he's done) so hopefully the Mad Scientist of SPL (Jacob Fuller) will be proud of me

Hello Jacob and all of the Sundown community, Very new here, and thanks for having me. There seems to be an ambient thermal issue and was looking for some advice. I have my 1500d mounted on the back fold-down seat in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am SE1. The problem is, the temperatures here are peaking @ triple digits here lately, and average temps are around 98F-99F. Well, when I get in the car (usually around noon, lunch break), the amp is already hot, I cant leave my hand on it more than about 5-10 seconds. This is because I leave my seat folded down and the direct sunlight is shinning on the amp, however, if I have the seats folded up, and let it down when I take my lunch br…

I just hooked up my amp, set my gains, hooked up the sub, and I am getting zero output out of the sub. The sub is an SSA Icon D2 10", wired in parallel to 1ohm. The amp is a Sundown SAE-1000D, bought refurbished from DB-r. Headunit is a Pioneer DEH-P6000D for reference. It is hooked up exactly like this, except I only have one positive and one negative coming from the subwoofer, and they are connected to the positive on the left, and the negative on the left. I played a 50hz test tune, set my volume to 45/60, and adjusted the gain until it was at 30V at the speaker terminals on the amp. (a little below 31.6, figured that would keep me on the safe side) Then I hooked u…

Hey Guys, Just wondering, how do you know if you are clipping your amp? I thought it was if your voltage drops to low. If it does have something to do about voltage, where can you get the electronic volt meters I've seen in ppl's car?
