Building these for a customer... I wasn't happy with the limits I was facing with the 10" 12-spoke frame so I grabbed some different frames to use for this project ! One picture for now until I get some stuff back from the machine shop... but what is to come : Z v.3 Spider w/ Double Leads and Triple Joint Ring Z v.3 Vented Spacer Ring (from 18" Z v.3) Basket coil cut-out OD expansion at local machine shop Custom made spider riser made at local machine shop Wide-Roll Surround 10" Cone Full Length NS v.2 Coil The customer is planning to use quite a bit of power on these so I wanted to do something a bit special... anyone that knows me knows that I hate making 10s with 3" c…

I am pleased to present one of our national records, established in Italy by the team sundown audio Italy - Team Dore. This machine has made the record in a category with many limitations, only 1 subwoofer, 1 amp, 1 battery, in a small hood! A "bullet A" style but with a limit of 60hz!!!!!!! This machine has 1 Nightshade 12" v.2 D1 SPL coil 1 Zapco 7500 (expect our NS-1 to improve) 2 Battery limited space, limited at 60hz ... a great and hard work for 1 year National Record at 154,3db in standard position (on glass) term-lab. a small picture on the box that shows the work and here is the video of the race I hope that jacob is happy with our work

Hey Jacob, I was wondering how much excursion is safe with these 10's. On some heavier midbass songs they get goin with maybe a half inch of excursion. Theres no hint of distortion o just want to make sure they were designed to handle this.. Thanks

Just whipped up a quick ported box for a 03 Ford Lightning truck for a local here, box came out good and cannot wait to hear it in his truck. Box is pretty simple 1cuft tuned to 35hz with a single aero port. Will be installing this and building his small amp rack this coming weekend, and I have nothing but great expectations on performance from this sub. This is the second local here that I have recommended the SD series too who purchased them. The first I believe picked up a pair of the SD12s.

Well you will be able to get one again soon. We made a special run of SAZ-1000Ds just for WoofersEtc.com that is due in about two weeks. Many people are looking for mates to their 1000Ds and this will be another, and the final chance to get one! This will likely be a one-time deal for a final run on these amps. I'll get more information up on pricing and whatnot once they actually arrive here at our facility.

I am a new Sundown Dealer and I have been seeing great results w/ these woofers. BUT...the lack of mounting information is really hurting my leeway to fully expand my designs in limited space builds. I see that mount depth is listed most subs, but motor diameter would REALLY help also. probably an unreasonable request (just wishing) but a google sketch-up model of the subs would make my world exponentially better I just finished an install today w/ 2 SD-2 10's in a '97 ext cab chevy (sealed ~.6cuft each, customer loved it, great low-end response) and I "called" the SD-motor diameter ~7". After crunching some #'s, I figured that I can build a SICK budget setup w/ a sin…

Original Discussion Thread I expect to have this in by first of February if not sooner (working on better ETA).
