Just looking to find out since I cannot easily see it posted already anywhere... If I get (2) SAX-1200Ds and link them together, what kind of output would I be looking at?? Mainly looking to find out if it is 2ohm stable if linked as well.. Thanks for any help fellas..

Our prior unit had extensive supplier issues to the point where we've just had to write off all of that work and tooling. In any event... I decided to re-visit the X-8 idea and base it on our SA-8 v.2 frame tooling. The first challenge was to make a GREAT spider for a 2.5" coil on an 8" woofer... which is difficult and we used extensive software optimization before tooling. Fortunately our basket allows a spider about 10mm wider than pretty much all other 8" frames out there. Since the spider is the main challenger we had that tooled first and then built up a test bed to test with : * Former was too tall / big in diameter for the SA-8 dust cap to work so I had to use an …

These subs will be built with used or blemished motors (cosmetic issues only). They do not look horrible but they do not meet my spec for cosmetics. 12s and 15s only at this time ! 15s -- $320 12s -- $305 SHIPPED in Continental USA. At the blow-out price we will be offering simply a no-DOA guarantee (they will be guaranteed to work when you receive them and no more). I do not have very many... so act quickly if you want them. These will have the newest aluminum pole plugs + the new steel spider bolt down rings. They will use a silver 12-spoke frame. * Steel spider bolt down ring. * Silver 12-spoke * Blemished back plate * Another photo

Alright, not sure if jacob remembers but I bought a used 1500D off a guy named Rob E and it started blowing fuses everytime the amp would turn on...........and now, surprisingly im having the same problem. Amp ran just fine for almost a year then all of a sudden it just cut out during a song. I've been using gold plated 80 amp agu the whole time..... So anyway when I sent the 1st one in, I got a brand new unit back just hoping I can still send it in for repairs in a couple weeks as I dont have much extra cash for shipping at the moment. just to clear things up......amp was being ran at 2ohms to 2 old type r 12's sealed with 4 awg wire.....all connections were solid includ…

  11. Some of you may know that I was going to get Sundown X 12s and then decided to get 2 10s because I couldn't fit 2 12s properly since they require a much bigger box and I'm kinda limited on room. I decided to have subs/port facing rear and have my battery and amps up closer to the front and build an amp rack there. I have a box design for the 10s here it is: Sundown recommends a much larger box (1.5-2.0 cubes per 10) to utilize the new surround and suspension. It will get much more excursion then. Also minimum required port area for these 2 10s is 75in2. Well I've been thinking since I have a height of 17 and a width of 34 I could fit 2 15s on the face. However, the…

Just throwing some ideas out because I want a hat and think other people may as well. This is just a crappy quick photoshop I did to show my ideas, I may make a final copy that blends and actually looks good in the future. Idea 1 Idea 2 Or we could just do the logo without the team above it so anyone could buy and wear it. Feel free to add ideas and discussion.

  17. I have a question. I have been reading that Sundown has two positive terminals hooked up parallel and two negative terminals that are hooked up in parallel. Which has lead me to be confused. (2) JL W7 13.5 (1500Wrms) DVC 1.5 ohm If I wire the woofers as so: And hook just one lead (+) to one (+) terminal on the amp and hook one lead (-) to one (-) terminal on the amp I should come out with 1.5 ohms and approximately 2625Wrms right? (and of course more power since they are underated) And secondly can I just hook it up to one lead and come out with the full power range?

What would be the best box for a Nissan 350Z, I can't decide whether to go with 2 SA8's or a single X8, I will be powering it with an Arc Audio 2500CXL which puts out a little over 1000 watts.

So the single SA-8 v.2 has been doing great for quite a while with the PSI PR but now that production is in and all pre-orders have shipped I decided I wanted to step it up a bit to THREE of them. Derrick came up today and put together a nice box for me for the three 8s using a single 6" aero-port about 28" long or so tuning us in the low 30s. Box is constructed of a single layer of 3/4" Russian Birch plywood. * Yep... that is a LONG port. * Inside view -- just a basic box with all the giant motors hanging out. * Sealed with a bit of silicone. As we may be tweaking some more I just ran the wires through the port for the time being. * In the car. * Bit close to the…

Through them in a box I had laying around the shop yesterday. They are being powered by a pair of saz-3500s @ 0.5ohm each. Vid. Got my new box built today. It works MUCH better. Because I had to move the amps to the back of the truck my rcas weren't long enough. Using some y-splitters as a ghetto extension I was able to get one amp going. With only one saz-3500d @ 1ohm on both subs it hit a 149.1 on the TL. Did the same exact # playing some music too. More vids tomorrow.

You told me that my SAE-1200D would not go "Thump" when powering down and you held true to that. Absolutely no noise what so every. It is perfect and for that, I thank you. BUT....as for the power rating I have to call BS. No way no how. I turned this thing on and it scared the chit out of me. I'm running two sealed 12" TC-9's and I thought they were going to fly out of the box. I had always felt happy with my Hifonics 1606D with it's 1600 watt rating but this 1200 puts it to shame. I was running the Hifonics at 3/4 gain and the 1200D is at 1/3 gain and I'm still turning my processor levels down. With my upgraded Alternator my voltage stays at 14.4 even at an idle so I k…

I am so impressed with my SAZ-1000D's output power that I am ordering another Friday or Monday. But here is where I am stuck. Should I run them strapped at 2 ohm, or one amp on one woofer at 1ohm each. I am just wondering the benefits of running strapped, or if their are none why shouldn't I? P.S. I got 1032.53 watts with rise to 1.8ohm and drop from 13.5v to 12.9v.
