Jacob or whomever can answer, The dustcap came off one of the E8's my boy is using. What glue should be used to fix it? How long should it dry? As an added note, the box for my boy is finally built. Going to paint it this spring but he is going to use it untill then. It has been hooked up @ 4 ohms for a couple of weeks. We are going to hook it up @ 1 ohm today. I am going to video his first impressions of it.

Anyone running these IB? My brother has an Audi A4 and wants to replace the stock sub in the rear deck, but with having 2.5 kids he has to have full use of his trunk. Hence the interest in running one of these in an IB setup. If anyone has any other suggestions, my ears are open. Thanks

Hi everyone, I just picked up an E8 subwoofer and I want to build a ported box for it, just a basic rectangular design with a slot port. The specs call for a .60 ft^3 tuned to 30 Hz, but when I use my vent calculator, the port length is very long (100", using a port of 10.5" tall by 2" wide). My box can't be bigger than 30"W x 12"H x 12"D because of space limitations. Would I be able to make a good sounding box for the sub that won't exceed my max dimensions? Any suggestions? I was wondering what kind of specs (actual box size, net ft^3, tuning, etc.) are you single E8 users running? This will be my daily sub, so I'm looking for SQ, but still want it to wang for a si…

So... SA-8 a little too big / powerful / deep for you ? I'm working on the E8 v.2 model as well for those of you who fit that description. THERE IS NO ETA OR PRICE YET - MY PROTOTYPE JUST GOT HERE TODAY! Works a bit better sealed as well -- very close to the E8 v.1 in sealed performance. Sticking to the 200 RMS rating of the E8 v.1 but this model is alot more robust -- I did alot of thinking over the last year or so about how to make an affordable 8" driver that can take more abuse than the E8 v.1 could... and this is what I came up with. It will be cheaper than the SA-8 but, obviously, more expensive than the E8 v.1 model. Magnet is 6mm narrower than the SA-8 and only a …

I am in need of a 8" sub that works well in a very small, sealed enclosure. I came across the E8v2 Sundown sub, and it looks promising. I wanted to get some insight/experience from people in the know. Space is at a premium in my vehicle. I have around .3 to .35 ft3 to work with. I would like for it to have good SQ with good output (I am aware that it's an 8", but I have heard some 8s with decent output in a sealed enclosure, so I know what to expect). I have not purchased an amp yet, but I plan to run 300-400 RMS to the sub. This will be going in an mid-sized suv. I plan to build a center console type enclosure that will fit in the second row. So, having said all this, do…

So I am building a center console for my F150 that will have two E8V2 in it. With the cubic feet being .5 I put together something. My only question is there a issue with having the magnets back to back as in the diagram below (not touching). Sorry for the mspaint crudeness.

I built a sealed box for my E8V2 using the recommend cubic feet from the website of .25 and the sub just sounds restricted. Now I am gonna build a vented enclosure for the sub but lost on the port size. Every calculator that I use shows a 12" (w) x 2" (h) port being around 85" (L) tuned at 35hz with a volume of .6Vb. That just does not sound right to me, so where am i going wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

so i have decided on getting the sundown 2500 to run a pair of fi q15's and i had some questions about the electrical needed to support this. i was looking at getting a delco alternator that puts out 220 amps max and 110 amps idle, stock is a 110 max, a kinetik 2400 in the back and 0 ga wire for power, ground and big 3. you guys think this will be sufficient? also would a 250 amp fuse be ok, or should i go with a 300 amp fuse?

Do you think I will need to upgrade my alternator? I have an 2006 Scion xB with a stock battery up front. I have a Kinetik 600 in back and a 3 farad cap. That feeds one sundown 1500. Also have big 3 done. I am probably going to upgrade wiring again and do two runs of 0 gauge from front to back battery and just do 0 to cap and amp. I am also looking into uprading stock battery to a kinetik also. Should I just do all of this and alternator at same time and say screw it. That way I know I have enough juice if I wanna ever upgrade to a second 1500 and second sub.
