Been working on an install for a guy and finally got to his front stage tonight. AA poly mids & CAL25 tweets running active off a 100.4 I spent about 5 minutes figuring out the dials, etc... and did a "best guess" for initial settings, then played some test tones to dial it in. I was SO close from the start and it only took about 30 minutes to get it all set up and sounding good. VERY nice amp for running active!!! Can't wait to strap the 1500D's to his sub tomorrow...

ok my buddy is installing my 100.4 and my 32 6.5" coaxials. they hooked up 16 of the 32 speakers in channel 1 and 2. they wired sets of 8 to 2 ohm. when they turned it on it seemed really quiet. but when they turn it up the amp goes into protect. any specific reason this might be happening????

If I wired 2 channels at 4 ohms and did not bridge the amp, would that cause any issues? Also should it still produce 100 watts RMS? J

Hey guys I've got a question for ya, on the 100.4 you can run 2 mids and 1/2 subs on it right? I'm not sure on the wiring on it, I think I might be right though? 100wx2 @ 4 ohm stereo (mids) and 320W x 1 @ 4 ohms Would that be right for two mids and a sub on it? What I have now is a 1500, and a 10" FI BL in my s10. All I really listen to is hard rock anymore, so the 1500 I have now is more or so less useless to me now. Also could it be wired all 4 to mids/highs and have a sub run off of it also? I'm not sure in my wiring lol.. Would trading a 1500 for a 100.4 be a decent deal, or no? Sorry for the dumb questions Thanks

  13. I might be able to get a hold of a preproduction prototype model 100.4. What are the differences between the two? TIA.

i can hook my mids and highs up either 2 ohm stereo or 4 ohm bridged. Is either way more efficient than the other? Right now im just running all 4 channels regular, but next week when my other 6.5's get here i am changing it. thanks

  15. I know this is backwards of what most people ask, but I cannot find it documented anywhere. I have limited space, and I'm trying to upgrade my system using the equipment I have sitting in my garage. So, that would have me using 2 channels of my 100.4C bridged - running a single SD-1 10" sub...which is an 8 ohm sub. So, what I'm wondering is how much wattage I will be able to get out this amp at 8 ohms bridged? My guess, based on the published specs, would be in the neighborhood of 200 watts. Just looking for a confirmation of this. Thanks!

I was wondering if you think it would be better to get a 1000 or 1200 for a daily driver. I'm putting them on 2 15 BL's ... any idea's on this? the pro's cons to both?

Would a 1000D properly power two RockFord Fosgate 15" P3's without straining too much or would getting the 1500D be the better bet? Also, any suggestions on a dual 15" setup for less than $700 are welcomed. Setup is for a friend. Will be going in a Crown Vic.

Hey ! I have 15" AA Havoc D2 in 3CF sealed. The sub is 1250 RMS. I wonder if the 1500D would be worth the extra money (450$ vs 600$, domned Israeli taxes) or maybe the difference won't be that big. someone told me that the difference would be 1.5 dB because the latter is half more power than the 1000D. What do you offer me to do ?

  20. First off, this doesn't seem very mono block to me (tis a two channel amp), but anyway... Could someone explain to me how you would wire up a single SVC sub? The diagram on page 5 shows bringing a line to both power outputs on the speaker positive connections, and no line to the negatives at all. This doesn't make any sense to me. Do you link the two negatives together, and run one positive to the speaker's positive, and the other positive to the speaker's negative?

I just bought a sae-1000d and i will be hooking it up to 2 kicker DVC L5's. I really have no idea how to hook DVC subs to this amp. I know that the 1000d has two speaker outs, and didn't know if that would make this install easier or not. So, basically I am just wondering what the most productive way of hooking this up would be. Thanks!

I am replacing my son's existing 100.2/(2)BA G110's with a new 1000D along with the SD1-V2's. I plan on running 1 ohm load with 200+ watts of overhead from the amp. What measurements and adjustments do I need to make to adjust the gains so that my 16 year old son won't blow that crap out of these new subs? With the 100.2 & the BA G110's, they were a perfect 4 ohm bridged 400 watt match. I was told to adjust the gain for an output of 40 volts rms with the subs disconnected @ 3/4 volume. This setup has performed perfectly. Is there an initial setup voltage that I can shoot for that will limit the 1000D to approx 800 watts into a 1 ohm load? Any help will be greatly ap…

My car is currently in the shop awaiting repairs from the recent break in. Since I have the time and I have not posted on this forum before, (I think) I was just wondering how you guys feel about these little guys. Should only need 6 cubic feet net ported, and have almost the cone surface are of (4) 15s Just considering something different for a good sounding daily that will drop low and get fairly loud. Power would be from a 3000d of course. Almost forgot car is a 2004 Ford Crown Vic seen here, old setup, just to give you an idea of how big the trunk was, that box was 4 cubic feet net tuned to 28hz I would have to do subs and port up, but I did that with my single RL…
