So after I was quoted two days to get get it done... and them taking three days... I finally got my car back. Only having the car a couple hours, so far these JL Audio 8W7's are fantastic! Very solid and far louder than I expected. From Kid Rock to Jay-Z, the subs great and clean. Very pleased! The best part is the Image Dynamics components. These get crazy loud and a simply amazing. Plenty of mid bass and the highs are crisp. I don't have enough time in the car with this system yet, but I'll work on adding different styles of music. Too early for a review. Here are the pics! Nevermind that one of the amps is crooked. I guess I should take it back to have it fixe…

Finally got some time off of work to sit down and play with some settings. Made a video and found that my voltage drop was way worse than I thought after I got everything running. So, bought a bigger battery and did some more wiring. Much better! Now I don't drop below 13v at high idle (1k). On the low notes before I would drop down in the 10's. Scary stuff. Anyway, made a new video over the weekend and after fits of rage doing video edits, I got it uploaded. Let me know what you think.

  5. This will be the official "Front Stage Inc" demo car...just waiting for my battery to come in. That HC2400 is too ginormous. I'm not sure if you can see this but the cover is kind of sitting on top of the amps. I'm waiting for some 1/8" lexan to put over the amps so I can use my trunk without messing up the amps.

Went to a USACi comp in Marrerro, LA last night. Took 1st place with a 147.9db @38Hz Legal all sealed up on the dash. No camera with me so i'll post pics of the plaque when I get back home later tonight. I feel as if I could've gotten really close to the 150 mark but the amps kept going into protection. I got two SAZ-3000d strapped together on (4) Phoenix Gold Ti12d Elite subs. When I put a meter on my terminals I get a DC Resistance of 1.7 ~ 2.0 ohms which doesn't make any sence because the subs are dual 4ohms. Not sure why I sometimes get a resistance less than 2ohms. Each sub is series for an 8ohm load then all paralleled to one set of terminals which should be a …

Second time ever on a meter First time ever competing and I won first in Street C with 145.9. I got there early this morning and was in the lane qualifying within ten minutes of being there. They gave me a CD and I started at 32hz and just went up 3 tracks at a time within 30 seconds until I got to 48hz. I am still not sure where I peak but 48hz was the only track I played on my other 3 runs. Thanks to Sundown Jerry for his advice. Gear: 2 15 Sundown Nightshades 1 SAZ1500 at .5 ohm 1 Powemaster D2400 1 MLA module 145.9 and I think I got more if I can get some meter time to test.

  9. Promised I would show some pictures... we got some of our SA shipment yesterday (8s, 10s, 12s, E8s) and it showed up in a nice container with no pallets. So we had alot of fun unloading * First thing we saw - exciting, right ? * Does it end ?! * My view from inside... I was in the container the whole time tossing boxes to the other guys * Expanding dramatically when it came out of the container *laughs* Had to stand back this far to get them all in the picture. We shipped all the E8 v.2 pre-orders today and SA-15 pre-orders will start going out on Monday. DO NOT e-mail me asking when your specific SA-15 order will go out -- the answer is as soon as we possibly can sh…

  10. I finally got to put power to my pair of sa10 subs. I have 2 wired to 1 ohm in 2.5 cu ft net tuned to 32 hz with 40 sq in of port. They are running off my saz-1500d. And are taking it no problem. I only have about an hour of play time on them. So we'll how much they loosen up. So far I'm impressed. I'm coming from an re sx 15 in 4.2 cu ft net tuned to 32 hz running @2 ohms off the same saz-1500d. They are a little louder than the sx15, but night and day cleaner. They hit so much tighter than the sx. Rock and metal are enjoyable again. My current electrical is seriously lacking and I've got some bad voltage drop. So I know there is more in them. Over all I'm very happy wi…

The amps are on the final truck to us and are in Charlotte this morning. Assuming nobody drops the ball big time we should have them today. Being that they must ALL be tested I am not sure how many if any will ship out today but I'll have tons of pictures at least when they come in and we start testing =) These are ALL sold already -- just an update for those that ordered them.

I have two to build so far -- IIRC this one was a drill slip into the surround. In any event -- just finished the first one and it looks neat so I took a few photos : * This is where it really varies from our other kits. The spider spacer along with dual triple joint rings. You cannot see the 2nd triple joint ring but it is in between the spider layers. It did take a good bit of time to assemble; which is why these kits are "expensive" compared to our other SA kits.

  24. How do you wire it to the sub? Like do you have 2 sets of speaker wire entering 1 terminal? Like this: This is how I have it wired up right now. The green sections are basically 3 wires twisted together and taped with electrical tape. So my question is how do I eliminate the electrical tape. I don't want to twist them together. Is there something I can buy to do this? Other then those plastic cap things that you twist on?

I'm going to be powering 2ea Fully Loaded 4" Voice Coil FI Audio BL15's (1,500rms ea) and I currently have a Rockford Fosgate Power 2500bd-1 Amp but i'm curious how the Sundown SAZ-2500, SAZ-3500 and the SAZ-4500 Compare to the Power 2500. I have 2 power 2500's right now still in the box which box say over 3,100 watts ea at 1ohm. The biggest reason I ask about the comparison is the cost of the SAZ-4500 is the same cost at the Power 2500. Is there just too much brand name mark up in the Power 2500 or is it a solid amp for the money? My Power 2500 Birth Sheets say...
