The new NS v.3 woofers will have a HUGE number of options. 1) The motor supports two sleeves to configure it's gap size / overall performance. • POLE SLEEVES (these are permanent; only selected when built) : * Copper sleeve – for low inductance / low distortion * Steel sleeve – for higher BL / higher SPL – STOCK SETUP • OUTER GAP SLEEVE (these can be swapped when re-coning the driver) : * 83mm OD – Z v.2 style coils; lowers mass / lowest inductance – for high frequency burps. My next round of Z v.2 coils will have a longer former for use on the new platforms. * 85.2mm OD – Standard coil; VERY long 4-layer flat coil – maximum linear travel / good mix of SPL and day-…

They took it out and put in a jl amp and it played great. They also hooked the amp up to some machine (forgot the name) to see if it would work and nothing is there anything I can do or do I have to send it back? Oh and I'm running 1 12" fi bl in a 2 cuft box tuned to 35.5 hz with 0 guage wiring

Sent in my design specs to the factory today for an SA-8 driver. Will move down to a 2" coil, though, so we can fit the proper spider on the frame. Coil will be 33% longer than the E8 coil and will feature all of the SA-12 cooling features. Frame will be 12-spoke rather than 4-spoke as it works better in the 8" size. May have pics in a few weeks Motor dimensions are similar to SA-12 except for it is narrower to more easily fit into an 8" woofer cut-out. Power rating 400-500 watts RMS. As for the X8... I may start from scratch on it due to the difficulties of using a 2.5" coil on an 8" driver.

I would like to start off by Thanking Jacob Fuller for being a great friend and a true sponsor. This year MECA Car Audio had a lot of problems on manufactures backing out on the Trophies for finals. With one call to Jacob and after talking with him on the problem. Jacob was willing to help. With not going into details. We worked out the details on how to save the trophie package for Street Classes. I just want to Thank Jacob on behalf of all Team Sundown Competitors and Sundown Consumers that Show in MECA. You couldn't ask for a better Company that stands by his Competitors than the way Jacob Fuller Does!!! I Thank You,My Team Thank's You and The MECA Family Thank's You …

im suppose to pick up some more 0/1 wire and another battery this weekend, but now im wondering if i really need it. this is what is getting used, i have a sundown saz2000, and a sax 125.2. i plan on running it at .6 ohms next season. for electrical i have big 3 done, 220amp alt, 1 run of 0/1 front to back, odyssey 1500 up front, and a odyssey 2150 in the back. now is it worth it for me to jam another battery in the back? i know the more the better, but is it really needed? also, would i benefit from another run of pos front to back?? im just thinking if i can save the money i should. thanks

So we are bringing it back again. This is how it works. 1) You e-mail me with what you have ([email protected]) -- it MUST BE a working amplifier (no speakers, no blown amps, nothing else). 2) I tell you if I will accept this item and how much credit I will give for it. I base this on forum and e-bay resale values AND my own records of used item sales. If you are going to get offended by an offer then please don't contact me - I have *extensive* used item re-sale experience from the previous trade-in program so I am very familiar with what I can ACTUALLY get for used items. 3) You either accept or deny my offer... if you accept the offer you then ship the item in …

Just a taste. Building this truck to compete in IASCA SQC. Gear list: Eclipse CD7200MKII Sundown 100.4 Sundown 125.2 Sundown 1000D Hybrid Audio Clarus comps. 2- 12" Alumapro Alchemy Processing is still undecided but leaning towards a Zapco DSP6 or Audison BitOne. Next upgrades will be to a Batcap 2000 under the hood and a Batcap Power Pack somewhere near the amps. 2004 Chevy extended cab.

I am new to the forum, and I am very interested in the sundown amps. I have 3 RE SX D2 10 inch subs that I need power for. Which Sundown would work the best to power these subs? They take 1K rms each. Don't know if I should go with 1 1500d or 2 or....? These are not going to be used for competition, just daily driving. Thanks.

  20. so i was tunin my amp for my 12" Q. and i wanted to use as little bass boost as normal on the amp. but even if i maxed out the gains, set my LPF around 80hz, and turned down my bass boost to 0db. i was only puttin out about 17 volts (if i remember correctly i did it early this morning). i know it was below 20.. and i needed about 31.6 volts. is this normal? i used 50hz tone when i had no BB, and when i used it, i used a 60hz tone. the only way i was able to reach my needed volts, was when my gains are just over 3/4 set, and my bass boost is about the same spot, 15-17db. but is that about normal? would it be better if i maxed out the bass boost and compensated with my gai…

so ive just finished building my 2nd box for these, and still not satisfied. ive done subs forward, port up in middle, but the box made me move my seat to close to the steering wheel it was 6 cubes 80sq inches of port, and i think there wasn't enough port area. sounded good though. my new box is subs up, port up (drivers side) 6 cubes, 94 sq inches of port. both box's tuned to 32 hz, so im looking to for help on something will i will be happy with, im not looking for numbers, just something that gets low and hella loud at it. my truck is a 99 s10 ext cab. do i need a bigger box for such low tuning? higher tuning? i play a lot of low 30-35 hz songs when i have it full ti…

I just want to say thank you to Jacob at Sundown with all the help he has given me. I purchased an SAE-1200v1 from a person on another forum, and as soon as I hooked the amp up it went into protection. I checked my wiring, and even hooked up another amp, which worked fine, but the Sundown just kept going into protection. This was on a Sunday, and Monday morning I sent Jacob an email asking if there was a remedy to my problem. Of course, I had no documentation for the amp in question, so Jacob offered to send me either a new 1200v2 or a 1500, both for a very nominal upgrade fee. I jumped on the chance to get the 1500. (It is probably way more power than my single 10 …
