I will be leaving on the 25th and coming back on the 30th. I will answer some e-mails while I am gone -- but most likely not all of them, it is supposed to be a vacation after all. Brandon will be at the shop Monday - Wednesday while I am not so he will handle as much as possible without me being here.

SENDING AMPS IN WITH JUST THE COSMETIC CARTON IS NOT OKAY - NOT EVEN IF YOU WRAP IT WITH BROWN PAPER OR A LAYER OF CARDBOARD. </rant> Seriously... I don't pack them inside another box for my health. You MUST have the extra padding on the ends. MUST MUST MUST. UPS / FEDEX / DHL / USPS WILL DAMAGE THEM. http://www.sundownaudio.com/warranty.html "In the event of shipping damage due to improper packaging of the return the customer is liable for the cost of all damages, necessary repairs, or replacement. Be sure to properly pack your return!" Okay, I'm done for real this time

And well, i will let the following photo say it all...... The car has 2 x Sundown 4500d's Strapped at 0.35 - 0.175 per amp Measured output across the pair 105.3 volts 121.2 amps = 12,762 watts output - or in laymans terms "a ****load" Battery was dropping to 10.5 volts as well! I do not condont this sort of abuse - one of the amps was going into protect which is something i need to investigate further, however whichever way you look at it - 6.3K from a 4.5k amp with no engine charging the battery (StreetMax) is pretty awesome going. I feel i must also give some of the credit to the DC LV 4XL SPL motored subs, as they seem to be standing up to the abuse very well so f…

i met up with nightshade the other day just to talk and hear the shades. And let me tell you its brutal!! i have been to a couple of shows and havent heard anything like this. vision blurry, hard to breathe, felt like somebody was just punchin me n the head and kickin me n the chest and that was only halfway on the bass knob. at full blast, i felt myself drifting in and out of consiousness LOL . zach is one of the coolest dudes youll ever meet, and he knows his chit. Just wanted to show him so love. Shout out to team sundown!! the videos doesnt do zach's setup any justice. his car flexes like crazy!! oh, and excuse the terrible cameraman **cough**

I got 8 dual 10" subs in a ported box I TOTALLY forgot about. So while the glue dries on the newsetup, I'mma hook the 8 10's up to the pair of 1500 watt Sundowns. Anyone care to guess the db's?? Box is the size of the cargo area up to the side glass in a 99 Explorer. About 4 inches shy of the tailgate. Tuned to 42 hz if I remember right. I'm thinking I can pull a 143 atleast. J

I had a miserable F-ing friday (yesterday). Earlier this week, a guy was "Selling" Incriminator 40.1's over on canadiancaraudio at crazy prices... (read: $600). He made it sound like he was just desperate for a quick sale, so I figured hey, may as well take advantage - I wanted to pick up a temporary amp to keep me busy until the 3000D's come out. The guy gave me a tracking number on thursday, and said he had shipped it out on wednesday. Turns out the tracking number was invalid... I tried repeatedly and gave up on friday. I messaged another guy that had "bought" a 40.1 from this seller, and he had the same symptoms. We compared tracking numbers and they were the ex…

Car is a 2000 Altima with 2 HD315's forward firing. Picked up 2 more 1500D's for a song, so I threw them in so both pairs are strapped at 3ohms. Box is 8 cubes tuned to 35Hz as it sounds best for the music I listen to, meaning anything but new rap. It's just a daily driver that sounds very nice, but can get pretty loud also. TL at the headrest I did a 147.1 @ 31Hz which I was told is decent for a trunk car. I was pretty happy as it's far from an SPL car as I run a decent active front stage and dial the subs back 99% of the time. Couple of SQ guys at the get together took a listen and were quite impressed with how it sounded with the subs off and then dialed up to just bl…

I got my 1200D yesterday evening and had a chance to look it over and take some pics today. 1st off this thing is built like a tank, very solid feeling amp. It blows away the Infinity 611A I have been using as far as build quality goes and the Infinity costed just as much when I bought it new a few years ago. Not to mention the Infinity puts out half the power. On one side of the amp it's got heavy duty power connecters that take 1/0 gauge wire. They are not made from cheap crap that makes you afraid to tighten things up.The speaker outs and remote turn on are built the same way. It's also got 5 30 amp fuses. On the other side there are 2 rca inputs and I believe 2 rca p…
