I woke up, and sitting in my dining room ( my little brother brought my delivery in) was 2 boxes. And the other box was the first half of my wiring order.

Picked up the proto from Jacob about a month ago. Finished up the box last night and wanted to share some pics. specs: 1.85 cf3 after displacements 3/4 birch that isn't really 3/4 6" aero 31hz tune sub: port: I flush mounted it then cut another plate to fit on the inside. That gave me more surface to epoxy and helped seal up the giant hole on the backside. Painted it several coats of hammered black. Used 1" dowel rods for bracing and support of the port.

Hello all, Im doing some research into Sundown Audio and would like some Honest & Unbias opinions on their producs, service, warrantys etc .... Any and all opinions are welcome good or bad I would like to hear them thanks

I wasn't going to start production on these so soon... but there is demand from my International accounts for these so I may start them pretty soon. Who would be in to a pre-sale on these ? Price would be $150 shipped in the continental USA for one and decrease a bit for multiples. I won't start immediately... I am testing one more prototype cone before confirmation... but I am surveying interest.

Ok, I contacted you guys via Facebook to ask some questions about how the Nightshade V1's, and I have yet more questions, but I figured they would be best suited for the forums to inform other people with similar questions. First off.. Do you sell a recone kit for the NSV1's and if so, what's the price? Secondly, I know you said 2.0 Cubed is about right (NOT PORTED) for the NSV1, but I'm sick of seeing the same square/Rectangle boxes, with the same slot-ports. I have this awesome little subwoofer that i have barely used more than a few hours - and the surround in a small area is comming up from the landing. i heard chuffing in a sealed box with the grommet and thought there was an air leak. upon further inspection i came to notice that the surround was not fully adhered to the basket surround landing! this is a project for a customer of mine, and i have already sent an email into you via your web support contact form - but this is kind of an emergency, as i am supposed to be finishing the fiberglass box for him this weekend - i am about 50% done with it and i am going to push forward with the baffle and port still -…

I'm curious why there hasn't been any mention of these amps since the preorder shipped out. There was a lot of talk up until then and I sort of expected some reviews to follow. Maybe I missed it but I dont remember seeing anything. So how is everyone liking these? I am considering picking up a couple and just wondering how they are performing for people.

Before I recommend this build to someone, I want to be sure it would sound ok. I have an associate that has a late 70s Vette. Baddass little car. The previous owner installed a flip screen Pioneer deck, and updated the speakers. He says it sounds ok, and gets loud but lacks the lower end like most installs that don't include subwoofers. What he wants is just to include the low end that the upgraded speakers lack, while retaining as much room as possible due to the tiny cabin this car has. Hey guys, I will be entering Db Drag trunk class this up coming season. Im running into a problem and was looking for advice. In trunk class I will be limited to only two batteries total, 15 volts total and 4k of power total that will be clamped at time of burp. Which sundown amp will be the best fit for me? also I plan on using either 2 nsv3 18's or 4 nsv3 12's at .5 ohms.

Sometimes it pays to have an insomniac working for you huh? Christy will carpet it in the morning, and I'll see about possibly bringing it up to you. Paint was still a little wet, so it looks splotchy, but it's not like that in person.

Well it seems that the upcoming amplifier line up is strong. So what's it look like for subwoofers. The E8s and NightShades look like they're doing well. I've seen the talk about "monster subs" but is there anything else in a lower power range (750watts or so)? Something in between the SD1s and NightShades that a pair of them could be powered well by a single 1500d (or the upcoming 2000d).

I just seen in another thread a pic of a 2000 watt Sundown Amp? Ne info on them yet or anything?

When I opened my trunk this morning to let my lil bro look at my subs both of my dustcaps was off. Is that something I should be worried about?

just wondering what head units some of the spl guys here with sundown amps are using? over the weekend i was talking to some guys in the lanes they where talking about hu with 3 plus volt outs. that the amps did not like this voltage. the other thing that came up where the rca cable talking about the amps like the cheap rcas compared the good stuff. anyone have any insight on this?

OKay here is what is up! I just installed my 2-12inch NS v1, and powering them is 2-saz2500 all wired to 2ohms! (subs wire to 4ohms and then wired in parallel to each other to drop the load to 2ohms) now with my last setup it was a single 15inch NS v1 d1 wired in parellel to get a 2ohm load! this isn't the last box but close enough to what it all looked like. now back ground, with the single 15inch first I set it via dmm, then used and oscope to set my gains and then clamped it and realized that i was making about 2400rms on a 6~ohm load on a burp. which was good enough to get me a 145.5 db on burp out of the old setup. now here is the issue with the 2-12s installed a…

I am going to discuss woofer related plans here... things I didn't really mention much in the "New Stuff Coming to Sundown" thread. ----- As you can see the E8 v.2 is available for pre-order now -- I am going to fill out the E line with 10s and 12s. Like the SA line the 8" motor is unique in the line... the 10s and 12s will have a larger motor, smaller than the SA series, though, but also with a 2.5" coil.
