I have this awesome little subwoofer that i have barely used more than a few hours - and the surround in a small area is comming up from the landing. i heard chuffing in a sealed box with the grommet and thought there was an air leak. upon further inspection i came to notice that the surround was not fully adhered to the basket surround landing! this is a project for a customer of mine, and i have already sent an email into you via your web support contact form - but this is kind of an emergency, as i am supposed to be finishing the fiberglass box for him this weekend - i am about 50% done with it and i am going to push forward with the baffle and port still -…

Hey guys, I will be entering Db Drag trunk class this up coming season. Im running into a problem and was looking for advice. In trunk class I will be limited to only two batteries total, 15 volts total and 4k of power total that will be clamped at time of burp. Which sundown amp will be the best fit for me? also I plan on using either 2 nsv3 18's or 4 nsv3 12's at .5 ohms.

Since my van is known as just a burp vehicle, and I really have been wanting to see what it would in Drive By. For those that don't compete in MECA Drive By is measured with the sensor 54" off the ground and 6 feet away from the passenger door, 30 sec, average no test tones. Mids and highs must be heard. So.... who wants some result?

I'm curious why there hasn't been any mention of these amps since the preorder shipped out. There was a lot of talk up until then and I sort of expected some reviews to follow. Mechman suggests i set my alternator to 19.2v if i upgrade to 16v. Will this voltage be safe for Sundown amps that are capable of running 18v?

When I opened my trunk this morning to let my lil bro look at my subs both of my dustcaps was off. Is that something I should be worried about?

OKay here is what is up! I just installed my 2-12inch NS v1, and powering them is 2-saz2500 all wired to 2ohms! (subs wire to 4ohms and then wired in parallel to each other to drop the load to 2ohms) now with my last setup it was a single 15inch NS v1 d1 wired in parellel to get a 2ohm load! this isn't the last box but close enough to what it all looked like. now back ground, with the single 15inch first I set it via dmm, then used and oscope to set my gains and then clamped it and realized that i was making about 2400rms on a 6~ohm load on a burp. which was good enough to get me a 145.5 db on burp out of the old setup. now here is the issue with the 2-12s installed a…

I wasn't going to start production on these so soon... but there is demand from my International accounts for these so I may start them pretty soon. Who would be in to a pre-sale on these ? Price would be $150 shipped in the continental USA for one and decrease a bit for multiples. I won't start immediately... I am testing one more prototype cone before confirmation... but I am surveying interest.

I recently installed my SAZ-3500 with two FI BTL and everything works real good, I then connected the bass knob when I turn the bass knob down to the minmum (no maximum) the amp goes into protect. Help please I really like to have control of the bass. What can I do? And, why does it do that....

Sometimes it pays to have an insomniac working for you huh? Christy will carpet it in the morning, and I'll see about possibly bringing it up to you. Paint was still a little wet, so it looks splotchy, but it's not like that in person.

Sundown did a hell of a job @ MidwestSPL finals this past weekend. Klade Turner and Daniel Arbuckle (ME) were both in the same class and took 1st and 2nd place in the Basic 4 class. Team Sundown FTW! I took second in a "pretty box" with two 15" Nightshades, Klade took 1st place. WTG Klade! Had never met Klade before this weekend and was glad to meet him, great competitor there. GJ! Just to fill you guys in... I've been working on a TON of things for Sundown for the future... hoping to see many of these things next year! I am going to discuss woofer related plans here... things I didn't really mention much in the "New Stuff Coming to Sundown" thread. ----- As you can see the E8 v.2 is available for pre-order now -- I am going to fill out the E line with 10s and 12s. Hey all I have an issue that's starting to annoy me. I currently have 2x sundown 2500d strapped at 1hm each. Running 2X 15" in a 10 cube box tuned to 32hz. Electrical is dc ho alt 270, xsD3100 in front and rear. 3 runs of power and grounds are all doubled in 0 gauge. What's happening started with the new box. The last box was a perfab bout 6cubes. When I play some songs that get real loud my slave cuts off. I can play it fine on alot of songs but when I get to the songs that have mad lows my slave amp cut out. When I'm driving i never drop below 13.2 Volts and i dont play at idle. Amps never get hot and happens right away when I play Thoes few songs. What should I do!! Ca…

Hey guy. I just received some pics of my new enclosure that is going into the KIA. The enclosure is tuned at 41 Hz for SPL, and 35 Hz for daily with the insert.

Basically, I have just bought two (more) ReSponse 1500 watt amps, same board as the SAZ-1500. These amps are protection happy at 0.5ohm per amp, which puzzles me, as I have used two others in the past, (one borrowed, one mine) that happily played everything, wired at 0.5ohm daily... Does anyone have the schematic of the protection circuit in the sundown amp? so I can potentially compare values, or possibly someone can point me in the direction of what components may need to be changed? thanks!
