Sundown Fans, We have updated our warranty policy to better serve our customers. We already have DOUBLE the warranty period of most car audio companies (2 years vs. 1 year) but we wanted to make it even better. I will copy the entire new warranty text into this post but these are the highlights: 1) ANY return will issued a prepaid FedEx label billed to our account. 2) This means warranty AND non-warranty returns. 3) If your items is *COVERED* by your 2-year warranty you are liable for ZERO shipping costs -- we cover it BOTH ways now. 4) If your item is *NOT COVERED* you still pay shipping both ways BUT you get to take advantage of OUR shipping discount rath…

In the manual, it shows it can be bridged to drive 2 subwoofers, but i want to just bridge it to power my Phoenix Gold RSD comps... If I bridge channels 1 & 2, 3 & 4, how would I connect my RCA's if I am only using the "front" outputs on my HU. Do I need a 1 female to 2 male splitter? to drive 1 & 3 left and 2 & 4 right? im a little confused at this point... thanks in advance for any help. Cody

Well currently I have no room in the back of my SUV. So the only option to mount the amp is on the box. My box is subs up port back. I have room on the top to mount the amp. I put a couple coins, keys, and other chit on top to see how bad it vibrates. It definetly vibrates, but will it be bad for the amp?

So before i decided to put the amp back in the truck after its been out for a year, i decided to just check out the board for shits and giggles, and saw this So i want to get this fixed but I don't have a repair shop near me and it'd cost an arm an a leg to ship it somewhere in the lower 48 to get fixed. If i were to ship it out i might as well just get a new amp, so i'd like to attempt to fix this myself. Idk if the resistors are bad for sure as i cant get to the other side with the dmm to test them. If i could get any kind of help such as where to get parts or anything informative i'd greatly appreciate it. I see on one of the other caps it says "222j 630v" so im pre…

From all of you who have run an SA-12. How will they run off of 500rms? I heard while they are rated at 600rms they need a little more than that to get moving well. But my car has a small alternator and I think 500rms is about what I can pull off safety. I just worry it wont be enough.

I have a SAE-1000D pushing my front components. I had the amp set to HPF and dialed the filter in to around 125 Hz. I noticed recently that my midbass was non existent. Honestly it may have been that way for weeks and I may not have noticed. My truck is usually hauling around two kids, so no turning up the radio. Anyway, I got to troubleshooting last night trying to determine what was wrong. On a few occasions at high volumes I would start to smell burning. One day last week it was so bad I nearly pulled the truck over to look for fire! It was really, really strong and I had to turn the system off for the smell to go away. I thought it was the VC's in my comps (5…

Playing in the shop One 4500D @ 1.33 ohm on one battery vehicle off. We stuck the mic in the port -- the score you see is 35 Hz. The SA-12s with the screws on them are NOT hooked up at all... the big box is moving them with pressure. It will have alot more power on it in vehicle... we expect good results !

So a good portion of the new raw parts arrived today -- nearly a full 40' HQ truckload of soft parts and frames. Plus, of course, additional E, SA, and Z v.3 style parts! Still have more that will be arriving on our next two containers as well to complete all of the parts we need for X, Z v.4, and NS v.3 drop-ins / re-cones... will be partial containers of parts on those as many of the out-of-stock woofers will be coming in on those trucks as well (SA and SD-2 lines). I don't think very many people realize just how many raw parts we keep in stock here but this is a nice peek into that The fully built X and Z v.4 are still moving along according to the ETA in the pre-s…

I have 2 SSA Icon 15s and wanted to know if I should get the 1000, 1200, or 1500. I read on here that it if I have a bigger box then I will need less power and also that the 1200 can out out as much power as the 1500 on a normal, daily, unstrapped setup. Would there be much of a audible difference if I use the 1000 rather than the 1200 or 1500? 2 SSA Icons 15s 8 cuft ported box tuned to 32hz **I know everyone will say 1500 but I m thinking about the price as well and would it be worth spending hundreds more for a little change. I was leaning towards the 1200 because of the power it can give out or the 1000 because I have a big box and need less power.

I would like to start off by Thanking Jacob Fuller for being a great friend and a true sponsor. This year MECA Car Audio had a lot of problems on manufactures backing out on the Trophies for finals. With one call to Jacob and after talking with him on the problem. Jacob was willing to help. With not going into details. We worked out the details on how to save the trophie package for Street Classes. I just want to Thank Jacob on behalf of all Team Sundown Competitors and Sundown Consumers that Show in MECA. You couldn't ask for a better Company that stands by his Competitors than the way Jacob Fuller Does!!! I Thank You,My Team Thank's You and The MECA Family Thank's You …

Parts are all here... as we start making them we'll get more finalized specs on each size and coil configuration. * All of the cones together * 18" Cone * 15" Cone * 12" Cone (woops... got it dirty) * 10" Cone All cones have a stitched surround. ----- * Upper left (18" - 9 1/4") -- Upper right (15" - 8 3/8") -- Bottom (10/12" - 7") Z v.3 15s and 18s will run the long coils (60-65mm) -- we'll have shorter ones for the 10s and 12s (50mm) to keep mass balance in check (will risk some ticking with the longer coils). All of them are beefy 8-layer aluminum USA made voice coils on black aluminum formers. * 15 / 18" coil * 10 / 12" coil (NS v.1 equivalent coil)

The power clamp reads in kW -- so 0.90, for example, is 900 watts. I kept playing it for 5 or 6 more iterations of the track after the video as I always measure T/S on at least one woofer per run to make sure everything is on track. I've already measured this one once but I've been breaking it in more to measure again
