The 3000Ds are in customs now here on the east coast. If they clear smoothly I may have them tomorrow. If not, I should still get them before the end of the week. Orders will ship ASAP once they come in.

This is my first post to the forum, so be gentle :-) I'm planning a new system for my 97 Maxima SE. The last system I put together was about 18 years ago so the current crop of equipment is very new to me. I think I've made up my mind on 2 FI Q15's in sealed enclosures w/2 cuft each. Now I need to make up my mind on amplifiers. I've been reading a lot of good things about the Sundown amplifiers and I would like to get some honest opinions. This system will be in my daily driver. I'm into SQ so even though I like to play my music (rock) loud, it has to sound clean and crisp. I want to be able to drive the subs hard and still have headroom so I don't get any clipping. …

I read a post the other day about bridging the 100.4 and how it blew the power supply after a few months. Well, what about bridging the 100.2 at a 3 ohm load (like a JL W7). Would it be reliable long term to do this or not?

I finally got my saz2000d and 4 - sa-8's installed today. You can see my build log on this forum if you like. This is in a 2000 ford ranger. I've installed a db electrical 200 amp alt. I've run a 1/0 cable from the alternator to the battery. I was planning on replacing the battery in the truck soon, when it went bad I bought the cheapo 500 cca for $35.00 about a year ago. I have 4 - runs of 1/0 flex cable from the battery to the rear of the truck. 2 of those runs (pos./neg.) are for the 2000d. The 4 sa8's are ( coils in series ) woofers parallel to amp. 1 ohm. 3.2 c.f. (net) enclosure tuned to 32 hertz. My problem is the amp goes into protection when there's a quick/short…

very sad day today... so im rerunning some wires in the car, and i open the trunk and see this..... so what happen was my oem radio i had laying in the back, somehow slid itself perfectly between the box and the trunk wall. everytime the sub moved, the metal edges on the radio cut deeper and deeper. so jake i will be in contact, to get a recone! 15" D2

well i found a new toy that loves the high notes.in our testing it was able to do a 155 outlaw @ 71hrtz with 1 NS12 and a 40.1 on 12 volt.this new vehicle is stock from head to toe. no damp,no duct tape nothing yet.since i was using a freind of mine equipment.I need to start getting my own again so I want to go with a lighter sub like 2 x sa10's and a [email protected] to start out with since i cant afford what I need. will the sa 10's hold up to some 71 hrt burps until i can afford some bigger subs and more power? this new vehicle is crazy loud to start out we tested for about 2 hours before we got to a 154.7 with a box that was just sitting in the garage. I have a Nissan 350Z and I have ordered a 180amp HO alternator from Ohio Gen to go along with a Kinetik HC1400 under the hood. Do you think that'll be sufficient to power one SAZ-1500D (1ohm 1500W), one SAX-100.4 (bridged 320Wx2), and one SAX-100.2 (stereo 100Wx2)? I already have the "Big 3" done as well. I refuse to run Capacitors so please don't even bother suggesting one.

Do you think it would be okay to install a SAZ-1500D and SAX-100.2 like the following pictures? The SAZ-1500D will be powering two TC Sounds OEM 10's and the SAX-100.2 will be powering a pair of CDT Braxial ES-630's. The pics are of a 350Z.

I could not hold up the daily driver of Sundown in the netherlands. If you can see its a little peugeot 206 sw. i need the space and i need the bass. Lots of family cars overhere struglle to get there wifes over the edge for a good install . I just made a amp floor and its a inch of space higher then original. 2x 1500 v.1 and a 100.4 aktive on the DDA compo in front. A DDLE factory box and a nice SA 10 inch woofer. In the front a xs power 60 ah. db drag style tl on the window Wish me luck to sell a lot of Sundown overhere.

I know alot of folks have a hard time understanding my explanation of this all in text format; so lets visualize it based on some Klippel results. I had the first Z v.4 15" prototype Klippel tested; as explained on the image the production model will test even better since I did a hyper-extended pole compared to the standard height pole extension on the sample but I haven't had a chance to actually re-do the test -- but I have verified in FEA and via doing similar comparisons with Klippel on other drivers with the same changes what the result would be. Okay.. I might be able to snag a pair of these 10w7 for a decent price. However, I am worried that because they are single 3 ohm coils, then I will not be able to run them efficiently on the Sundown amps. The 10w7 is rated at 750 watts rms each at 3 ohms. What are some amp and wiring configurations that would work for me? I'd like to give them their recommended power, but the JL website shows that the subs don't like to handle more than 750 watts continuous as it gets to the black line (warranty voided). So after I was quoted two days to get get it done... and them taking three days... I finally got my car back. Only having the car a couple hours, so far these JL Audio 8W7's are fantastic! Very solid and far louder than I expected. From Kid Rock to Jay-Z, the subs great and clean. Very pleased! The best part is the Image Dynamics components. These get crazy loud and a simply amazing. Plenty of mid bass and the highs are crisp. I don't have enough time in the car with this system yet, but I'll work on adding different styles of music. Too early for a review. Here are the pics! I'm planning on buying a 15'' DC lvl 4 sub (1000 rms, though underrated) Not sure if I want to have it ported or sealed yet. Its a daily driver, No competitions or anything like that. I have an SAE 1200d and an SAZ1500 Which one do you guys think I should use to power my sub? I don't plan to upgrade from this, and I will never strap on another amp. I have a pretty weak electrical so If one is more efficient than the other please let me know. Is the SAZ worth the extra money for my application? I'm going to be selling the one I decide not to use.
