Well first off I have to say thanks to James and Jacob for the great work they have done and the products they have given me access to that I would not have been aware of... Firstly, Here are some new toys... Here are a few pics of the stuff roughly installed with no clean up of the wires. I will take better pictures once it clears up outside and I can getter better angles. Showing how the box contours to the seat... Other side of the box with the 60% of the rear seat down... Showing driver side of box and its contour like the seat. Clearance under the seats... Anyways on to initial thoughts.... Ohh My are these nice... Just had the 250.2 hooked up to the CDTs gai…

  3. Okay.. I might be able to snag a pair of these 10w7 for a decent price. However, I am worried that because they are single 3 ohm coils, then I will not be able to run them efficiently on the Sundown amps. The 10w7 is rated at 750 watts rms each at 3 ohms. What are some amp and wiring configurations that would work for me? I'd like to give them their recommended power, but the JL website shows that the subs don't like to handle more than 750 watts continuous as it gets to the black line (warranty voided). Is this power rating from JL "over-rated" or "under-rated" for their subs? http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=5 I currently have 2 gauge power and g…

I was playing my system today which consists of two SAZ-3000d's strapped together @2 ohms. I was messing with some settings in my HU and it was just slammin. All of a sudden it cuts off so I turn the system off and let it sit for a little bit. Turned it back on and it still doesn't play thought I blew the fuse. When I finally get home I check the amp and the slave amp goes into protect. I know that the link RCA sometimes causes problems but now whenever it turns on it immediately goes into protection. I tried disconnecting the link RCA and turn it on and still goes into protect. Right now I disconnected both power and ground to let it sit disconnected for a while…

I have 2 SSA Icon 15s and wanted to know if I should get the 1000, 1200, or 1500. I read on here that it if I have a bigger box then I will need less power and also that the 1200 can out out as much power as the 1500 on a normal, daily, unstrapped setup. Would there be much of a audible difference if I use the 1000 rather than the 1200 or 1500? 2 SSA Icons 15s 8 cuft ported box tuned to 32hz **I know everyone will say 1500 but I m thinking about the price as well and would it be worth spending hundreds more for a little change. I was leaning towards the 1200 because of the power it can give out or the 1000 because I have a big box and need less power.

Phone hours will be 8 AM - 2 PM minus 12-1 for lunch the rest of this week (has been this way for a week or so already) -- but will be back to normal next week. We've had to work around a bit of an odd work schedule for a bit but we'll have it back to normal next week

Okay so my next system will be (2) 12" Z v3's and (2) SAZ-3500D's, I was curious if anyone knew the specs for a ported enclosure. I would run both amps at 1 ohm. I'm just curious as to how much more room is needed. I have (2) SA-12's in a 3.5 cu. ft box tuned to 30Hz. I would like to stay somewhere around there. I cannot find the thread that had the specs for the soon to be released Z v3's

Huge for sale thread here... I need to get some of this stuff out of here! All prices are shipped in the continental 48 states via Paypal, ask me about shipping anywhere else for a quote. First off... I have 4x SAZ-1500Ds that are used. These amps carry full warranty coverage from your date of purchase. They are very lightly used by Team Sundown members. They are 9/10 on a bad day cosmetically, all look the same with pretty much only minor mounting foor wear. Yes, the logo is upside down on one of them... it is reversible so you can change it back. These are $450 each. TWO SAZ-1500Ds ARE SOLD. TWO ARE AVAILABLE. Second. A used SAX-100.4 that is indistinguishable from br…

Everything was working fine last night. This morning i turn on the car and i can hear static coming from the woofer. I figured it was the subwoofer coil rubbing or something. Well i try 2 other subwoofers and i get the same result. Everything seems to work fine except there's static that kind of sounds like rubbing styrofoam together. I tried everything to rule out other components and still the same result. Strangely enough the amp works fine apart from that. So i have no clue what to do now. Do i just send it in to get repaired or what? I never thought i'd have any problems with it. Any help would be appreciated.

This might be a dumb question but I'll go ahead and ask. I was tuning my 1200d for the first itme this morning and before I could reach the 35v suggested voltage with the DMM, the amp started making a faint popping, buzzing sound. My target volume is 21/35 and the noise appeared at about 13/35. The noise went away as I turned it down. I'm running 1/0 gauge from front to db block and a run of 4 ga for 5' to the amp. BTW, no db gain was used and the remote gain was at 1/2 with susbsonic set a 28hz a x-over set at 1/2 as stated in manual. Anyone experience this before?

I want to extend an offer over here to the Sundown guys. I've been doing decals over at Meade's forum for a little bit now and thought ya'll might like some of these. They're ridiculously cheap at $1 each (minimum order of two) which mostly just covers my cost of materials, shipping, & PayPal fees. Tell me what you think. Here's a link to my for sale thread over there. http://www.*****.com/board/ind...=14109&st=0 Here are my refs. http://www.*****.com/board/ind...showtopic=14748 P.S. I love my Sundowns!

  25. I was wonder have any testing been done on the SAX 100.2 and SAX 100.4. I about to become a dealer and I'm really in to great multi channel amps and I'm building a SQ comp car now and using DLS ultimate amps. I would just like to now want the real world output of these amps are, seeing how much headroom is built into the sub amps. Thanks for all the help in advance.
