Ok I'm new to this strapping amps thing but currently I have 2 saz.3000d's and 2 21" incriminator audio dp's (they r both d1's) right now I have them both wired at 2ohms each and was wondering what kinda load am I getting out of each amp??? Am I pulling 2ohms from each amp and that wud be both amps strapped at 4ohms??? This is where I'm confused abt...also if I wire each sub down to .5 what kinda load will I pull out of each amp??? Will it be .5 out of each amp making it 1ohm strapped or will I be pulling .25 out of each amp??? Really confused was wondering if neone cud help me out thanks

Two Stinger SPV-70 Batteries / 40-amp Power Supply / 8 awg wire power and Ground (this amp should have 4 awg) Wired to 1 ohm nominal : 1170 Watts @ 12.5 volts 1.97 ohms after impedance rise Wired to 0.5 ohm nominal : 1490 Watts @ 11.1 volts 0.85 ohms after impedance rise --- Measured with my Extech True RMS power clamp meter several seconds into the tone @ 60 Hz -- this typically reads about ~15-16% less than a "dual peak hold" amp clamp test. We'll do some more testing with a more adequate power wire coming up soon. The test bench 4 awg has the ends tinned so is a bit too big to go into the SAX-1200D terminals -- will need to get it in a vehicle.

wondering if its possible to only use one input when bridgeing a 100.2? i know alot of the oldschool stuff i used to run you only needed one channel (usually the right) when bridgeing. the reason i ask is because im going to run two bridged 100.2s as a stereo pair and would like to avoid any funky Y-splitters or anything like that.

I received a brand new Sundown saz-1500 this week and I just got around to installing it. All I can say is wow, it pushes the heck out of my RE SE 10 d4. It's funny, this is only giving the sub about 800 watts since it's running at 2 ohms. In addition, I have the gains on the amp turned way down, as I have not had a chance to set the gians properly yet. I think it's going to be time to get a sub that, first of all, can get to a one ohm load, and secondly, take the 1500 watts. That amp is a beast. I'm excited lol. I also received a Sundown sax-100 today for my highs, but I have not had a chance to install it yet. All Sundown as far as my power goes. I am converte…

  9. Hey Guys....I recently installed a SAZ 1500D and I am now experiencing engine noise (a buzzing type of sound). I can unplug the RCA's from the SAZ and it goes away. I was told that I should ground both of my amps in the same place and that might help...Well, I've done that and it hasn't helped. Prior to installing the SAZ I had a JL Audio 500/1 and it didn't have any noise. I've even ugraded my BIG 3 and also ran some 1/0 gauge since installing the amp thinking that may help....But the noise still remains. The RCA's are new and I cannot imagine why they would make any noise since they didn't with my previous amp....Is there a possibility that the SAZ has something wr…

I wasn't going to start production on these so soon... but there is demand from my International accounts for these so I may start them pretty soon. Who would be in to a pre-sale on these ? Price would be $150 shipped in the continental USA for one and decrease a bit for multiples. I won't start immediately... I am testing one more prototype cone before confirmation... but I am surveying interest.

I have no direct Sundown experience, I have read a lot of good things and I'm here to see what they have for my application. I have been researching amps for my newest upgrade from 10s to 12s and I wanted to get some suggestions. I have two 12" Cadence SE Solo Beast DR subs dual 2 ohm vc, 600 wrms / 1200 peak per sub. I would like to be at about 600@4ohms and 1200@2ohms if possible so that if I choose to I can run only one sub at a full 600wrms and potentially upgrade subs in the future. Sure I'd like to say that SQ is all I want but, not in the trunk, SPL is what a sub if for IMO. I would like to compare actual numbers, for example, I've considered only 13.6-13.8 volts …

Last night as I was just listening to the radio as I was driving along and I began to notice an odd smell in my car. My volume was low, and I have not played my music loud in a while. Initially I thought maybe something was just coming through the vents outside. However, when I got home and popped my trunk I was greeted with a haze of white smoke!!!!! I am running two amps; an SAE-1200D and a SAX-50.4. Upon further investigation this morning I checked the impedance of all my speakers and they are what they should be and my voltages are correct at the amp. After letting the trunk air out a little bit I noticed that the smell seemed to be associated with the 1200D and n…

  21. Hey guys, I'm new here and I'm looking all over the net for some good info and I stumbled upon this site by a fluke I read on few forums that this is a quality amp and seems to be going for a price of $200 which is the top I want to spend on an amp, budget is tight. I've got two sets of coaxial speakers, both Alpine, one is Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. and the other Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. I'm working with limited space of no more than 17''x11'' in an enclosed trunk space, I will attach picture of someone elses car with the location of where I also want to put the amp.

  22. Ok, got my 3000d today. Wired it to 1/2 ohm, and it just doesn't seem to be putting out power. i had the gain set at about 1/2 and it just seems like it's not puttin out the power. voltage read 14.53 and amp read exactly 0.5ohms. Also, when i turn it up to where i normally listen to it at the subs start cuttin in and out so i turned the gain down more and also turned the sub control down to like 5/15 and it still does it. Voltage barely drops, and it's really not loud AT ALL. what could be the problem?? Also, the amp never went in to protect or anything, i'm stumped...
