Sundown Audio

  1. Started by sundownz,

I have been holding out opening this to make sure they won't take as long to make this time. The good news is they didn't as our special rectifiers are now in stock at our factory and production finishes next week. So this puts delivery time about 4-5 weeks from now. As of now I still have quite a few to go around but that could change at any time as I have had inquiries about some LARGE builds with these amps. $1500 pre-order price shipped in continental USA AK or HI add $100 for SH ($1600 total) USA ONLY. For international talk to your distributor. You can PAYPAL me at [email protected] or talk to you favorite local or online dealer to pre-order. These WILL NOT …

Was hoping I could use the stock frame and I was able to do so! Just had to adapt it a bit... one of our spider bolt down rings worked perfectly for the job. This woofer has 3 Hard Nightshade spiders, a Z v.2 prototype D2 coil (tight gap so NS coil would not fit), and a light weight cone similar to the Z v.1 but with a wide roll surround. Once the dust cap glue dries I'll measure specs on it to see what we got * Steel spider ring glued into place (glue under, around, and below the ring) * Overview of the ring -- also changed original basket screws to a higher grade metal with allen heads. * Gluing bottom triple joint * Lining it up and getting ready to solder the lea…

Just a quick question. I am on a quest trying to create a small enclosure for my small Jetta trunk and still have usable space. Slot port enclosures take up a lot of room that a standard Aero Port doesn't. Would a single 4" Aero Port tuned to the right length, be enough for two SA-10s in a reccommended specification enclosure powered by a SAX-1200D?

I have an 01 firebird and Im looking into getting a ported box built for a single SA-8 D4. There is a space in the driver side trunk area where the factory cd changer used to be, im hoping to use this space. I will not be competing in anything, just want it to sound good for daily use. What size should the enclosure be, port length and what should it be tuned to for everyday use. If there is any other info I need to know before bringing it to the builder, Im all ears. Thanks,

For sale is a cosmetically damaged Sundown SAZ-1500D. This amplifier is fully functional except for the remote input. You will NOT be able to use the remote as the port was broken off in transit from the factory, along with cosmetic damage to the end panel as pictured: Price is $350 shipped in the continental USA via Paypal.

  23. A customer ordered four 15s and I am just about done with the first so I took a few pictures along the build process : * Rear triple joint glue and ring - the ring is smaller than the gap and centered so can go down into the gap at extremely high rearward throw. * Close-up of the glue. * Spider pack is pressed with a laser cut steel plate and a Z v.2 motor to ensure good bonding of the glue between the frame and spider layers. * Terminals have a locking toothed washer * Soldered - and a dab of glue added to the stud on top of the nut and washer for long term safety. * Special surround glue - dries flexible and won't hurt the surround material. * Finished cone to s…

Runs on 240v AC -- supplying 260 amps continuous current set to 14.8v Hooked up to some Stinger SPV-70s... need to get one more in there. Should do quite well... this replaces our prior setup of three Pyramid 40-amp units (only one recently as we blew up the other two). We went through those on a regular basis... this should be more reliable and much more power than we had before.
