in peoples opinion which sub will sound better for spl. both will be in ported box built to specs, powered via 3500d?

I may just be overlooking something, but i can't seem to find enclosure recommendations or sub displacement. And it says that it has 2 inches of xmax, so 48mm? I may be wrong, but I think there is 2.4 cm in 1 in. which means 24 mm=2.4 cm.

well might be makin a trade for a 15" d1 nightshade. i currently have a 15" hdc3 in a 4.7 cube box @ 38 hz using 3 4" aeros. just wanted to see how it would perform in this size of a box? dont have the time and money at the moment to built a new one. but will be when i get some extra time and money. oh and using an aq 2200d for power

what do yall think of the z v2 d2 15 in a spl box tuned to 39 hertz on a dc audio pai 3000.1

I know not all are created equal, but will the RF 1/0 4700+ strand wire fit like it does in my power T series amp?

with all the new amps coming out thru sundown, how long will the saz-1500d be available? i need to get another one, but it will be at least another month or two before i can. Like, are the going to discontinue it when other amps come out? thanks

Going to be installing a HD315 that's dual 1.5ohm VC's. Getting it for a good price, otherwise if buying new I'd just have gotten a dual 2 ohm. I have a 200a alt, SVR batt up front, Deka Intimidator in back, BIG 3 in 1/0, amp wiring is 1/0, gain set with DMM. Is there anything else I need or need to know as I've never run an amp below 1ohm. It's a daily driver and 99% of the time I listen at moderate levels, meaning you can talk in the car with the stereo playing, but once in a while I plan on leaning on it pretty hard when playing music, NO burps, just cranking some tunes to unwind after work. i went to get something to eat earlier and went to play my system that im tryn hard not to use till the season starts and i rolled into a beat really quick,which i shouldnt have,but did,and my amp cut off.its a 1500d and it didnt go into protect just turned off.i turned my head unit off and checked my fuse and it was fine.i turned the hu back on and it came right back on.weird huh.its dark right now so i couldnt check to c if a sub blew or what,but its still hittn hard as heck!!!anybody now what happened?thanks

Hi purchased this sundown 1500d and i am needing a lil help with this amp setup. I need to know the difference btw the bass boost and the gain. I am using a stock hu using a david navone loc. Fist of all can this amp take more then 6 volts input voltage? 2nd how should i adjust the bass boost with the gain? I am not doing it right i only can tune by ear and it seems i keep clipping the amp because when i play a song when it hits a low note on the song it bottoms out on the sub pops ect. i turn it down problem goes away. How should i be adjust the gain/bass boost?

Im ordering through KNU and im using a cde-102. for powering im using **NEW** Kolossus Flex 0 Gauge Power Kit but for rca/remote and speaker wire i have no clue. I will be using it on a 18" fi BL. Any tips?

Hooked up the 1500D today after it has been sitting for about 2 months and now it keeps blowing all the car's fuses. Putting it in a late 90's Tahoe which originally had a 1,000watt amp hooked up that ran without any problems. Now after hooking the 1500D we've already been through 2 fuses so far and are unsure on how to fix it. All help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

I have been running my 1500d for about a month now. It was working perfectly until about 3 days ago. I hadnt been in the truck or anything for 2 days, and then i go and get in it and as im driving the subs are making a popping noise. I have been trying to figure out what the problem is, and i dont think it is any of my wiring. I have figured out that the popping only happens when the amp is shook or tapped on or of course the truck bounces or something while im driving. The amp works fine except for when this happens, which is frequently. Im thinking it might possibly be something loose in the amp or something. Let me know if you have a possible solution.

I have 2 1500s coming to me and before i install them i want to make sure that my electrical will handle it right now i have a stock alternator on my bravada (blazer if you will) pushing ~110amps and 1 yellowtop optima my plan was just to replace the stock alt with a 300 amp one but seeing as these amps can be run at a higher voltage than 14.4 i was thinking of doing dual alts and running 16 volts on a 300 or 200 amp alternator (whichever is reccomended) and have a seprate battery in the back I would like to get as much power from them as possible so i will most likely strap them @ 1ohm (i know its not covered under warranty) I just need to know how big of an alternator…

Hi everyone, been a loong time since i last posted, but here i am.....with my 1500D that likes to blow 80amp fuses at 2 ohms in my 98 jimmy. this problem happended months ago, but i just never really got around to fixing it.....running my mrd-m501 in the exact same setup without 1 problem. I tried emailing jacob a couple weeks ago about possibly sending it in to get looked at but i didnt hear back from him, so one day i said **** it and took it to an electronic repair shop who benched it and said "this thing has all kinds of problems, its pulling current like a mofo" or something along those lines.....said it almost blew his 15 amp breaker or something....i dunno...im not…

Ok I am wandering will a 1500d at 1.5 ohms will put out? I have a 100 amp denso alternator hair pin design i have heard there amps is higher then what they rate them. I have a group 35 battery i think it is 450 cca and i wil be using a 1500d on 2 jbl gti's 12's running 1.5 ohm load. My question is will my electrical hold up or will i need a new battery? I plan on getting a kinetik in the future when i get the money it is a brand new 2009 corolla so all i am really worried about is battery power which i can always turn down the sub bass but will i have to or will the electrical system hold up? I've got 2 dd 3515's dual 2 ohm, right now i've got 2 sundown audio 1500d's strapped @ 2ohms. I'm wanting to get 2 more 1500d's. my question is would the amps handle bein strapped @ 1 ohm daily? i wanted to ask first before i reconed the subs to dual 1 ohm...thanks in advance.

ok so i'm purchasing 2 18" BTLs and really considering getting 2 of these amps.. heres my question do i get 2 Dual 2ohm BTLs and run 1 on each amp at 1ohm @ 1500 watts rms each OR do i get 2 Dual 1ohm BTLs wire them parallel on the 2 1500s strapped @ 1ohm to get the 3700 watts? how efficiant is it to strap these amps? and are there any other worth while scenarios that i should consider? I will be getting a 300amp alt and as of now i only have 1 yellow top, will i need more batteries with that big of an alternator?

I'm running 10g wire for the POS connections and had a hunk of 4g laying around, so I used that to connect the NEG terminals. Any problem with running bigger wire for the NEG connections?

Since my 4 15" Soundstream T4 project is being delayed, I decided to strap both amps into the sebring on 1 MTX Audio 12" 9500 subwoofer today. Got both amps strapped up, all connections good and the master amp set at 1/2 gain and 1/2 bass boost in a 2.5 cubic foot box tuned to 38Hz. My first reaction when the bass hit.....was like......HoLy SH**.. It literally took my breath away and I had to turn it down. My trunk was trying to jump off the car literally. 1 ohm on each amp, and this 9500 is taking it like a champ. Amps never even got warm. These SAZ 1500's are some badass amplifiers, and I'm very impressed with them. Thanks for making great amps Jacob, appreciate it.

What kind of power would I be looking at with 2 1500D's strapped at 3ohms? I've got an HD315 DVC .75ohm each. I can either run the amps at .75 or 1.5 each. This is a daily driver, no burps, played reasonably loud 90% of the time. Friday's after work it gets played stupidly loud, so I can unwind on the 20 minute ride home. That's the longest amount of time I play it that loud, usually around 20 minutes. I don't really understand impedence rise, but I know it will effect what the amp really sees. That's why I wonder if .75ohm per amp would be ok for my situation. Or would 1.5 each be safer? If so would it be that much of an increase in power over my current single amp at .…
