The 10" 4 ohm model just came in today so I decided to take a few pictures of them all together. We've had the 10" in 8 ohm for some time now. At this time all sizes 6.5 / 8 / 10 are all in stock in 4 and 8 ohm coils. * Not everyone realizes it; but the 10" model has a separate motor and a 2.5" coil compared to the 2" on the other sizes. * 6.5" model * 8" model * 10" model

Putting a Sundown system in our 2009 Tundra DC shop truck and debating on NeoPro 6.5's or the new SA 6.5cs in the front doors. Either set will be sealed and running off a SAX-100.4 at 4ohms backed up with a pair of SD 10v3's on a 1500.1 running 1ohm. looking for SQ over SPL in this build so any and all input would be helpful. Currenlty have a set of SD 6.5's in the door now and was thinking of using the x-overs from them to run the NeoPros but can build a custom x-over if needed. Thanks,

The 6.5" is NOT yet available... just testing the sample. Very smooth measured response on these... can cross as high as 4-5k for tweeters that don't like much mid-range output. Measured open baffle -- in a baffle low-end would increase on all of them but you can see the trend as the very deepest bottom end increases as you go up in size and the top-end increases as you go down in size.

NeoPro-8 models are now SOLD OUT. Also -- all NeoPro speakers will face a small price increase due to the Neo cost increases. The next run of NeoPro-8s will include 4 ohm models as well. We will have more in stock in June... the demand for these really snuck up on us exponentially rather than just a gradual increase so supply was literally pulled right out from under us! We should have more steady data on the demand in the future on these. New / Old Pricing : NeoPro-6.5 : $99 / NA NeoPro-8 : $105 / $99 NeoPro-10 : $129 / $115 The 10" has a much bigger piece of Neo in it so was more affected. If Neo goes back down in the future we'll adjust accordingly -- we may also offer…

The molds completed a few days ago and the first samples rolled out -- here are a few of the first look photos from our basket manufacturing company! I am super excited about the potential these will bring to out larger woofers. Once our new spiders, cones, surrounds, and spacers are all tooled we can really show off what these are capable of -- those parts should have completed samples as well soon too. These things carry some serious heft... the base plate that bolts to the motor is 9mm thick un-painted compared to 5mm on most 4 and 12-spokes and 8mm on the Ti-18 frames (add about 0.5mm for paint). They are the strongest frames that I am aware of ever to be produced. --…

"The ATO style fuses in the SAE-1000D are designed to handle roughly 130% of rated current for 10 minutes per the spec sheet for around 98 amps of handling, which at 14.4 volts is almost exactly 1000 watts at 75% efficiency. Since this is not an SPL competition amp I decided to go with 3x 25 amp fuses. The prototypes had 3x 30 amp fuses and I found that they would not blow even at a 1/2 ohm load for extended periods. I went with 3x 25 amp fuses to give a warning to inexperienced users when they wire the amp too low." Also posted in the FAQ thread: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7406 Item Number 4. I was seeing the question about fusing on several …

Runs on 240v AC -- supplying 260 amps continuous current set to 14.8v Hooked up to some Stinger SPV-70s... need to get one more in there. Should do quite well... this replaces our prior setup of three Pyramid 40-amp units (only one recently as we blew up the other two). We went through those on a regular basis... this should be more reliable and much more power than we had before.

New Box : 7 cubes with 195 in^2 of port area You can see it is very close to the hatch... this was not as planned - I have to move the amp rack forward to move the box forward. Due to the proximity to the hatch my loudest frequency dropped to 45 Hz (the vehicle actually peaks at 53 Hz) - but it put up a good number anyway! 154.2 dB @ 45 Hz legal dB Drag Style 157.0 dB @ 45 Hz in the kick panel one door open 2x SAZ-3000Ds @ 1/2 ohm and 17.9v 2x Nightshade v.2 Prototypes (the SPL is about the same as the original but these have a higher long-term power handling) I have not done ANY resin work to the box... no corner smoothing pieces... no sanding... nothing like that. So…

So I am wanting to build a new box for my 3 sa10's mainly just to see what I can make these things do with different tunings and box volumes. They are pretty underpowered for now on an aq1200d at 1.33 ohms. My current box is 4 cubes net at 34hz. Just wondering if I should go down in volume or keep it the same? The main reason for building a new box is just for fun/practice I have the wood and time and want to try something different. I will build another new box when I get more power. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks -Rick

Well UPS finally came and dropped off my new baby in one piece...I must say, this sub is a monster. It looks like it could just devour my old type argghs! So I almost got the build complete, just gotta finish up my box and I'm good to go...had to wait on my ports which I also got today as well. I guess you can say it was a good day though. Thanks Jacob for the beefy a$$ sub, I LIKE!

ok, so I'm working on my front stage right now. However, I have a Z 15" V2 and a 2000D and was originally going to add a second amp and subwoofer and wall it off behind the rear seats in my scion. BUT with the recent publicity/impressiveness (is that even a word?) of the SA series, I was thinking 4 12" SA series off of a 2500D (giving them each their rated rms) would be a better option. So, it would be a little less power but a ton more cone area. what say you? think it would be louder?

Got a new car today... been wanting one for a while so pulled the trigger. Picked up a 2006 VW GTI 2.0T today Okay, so it's not NEW per-se... but it does look new, and it's new to me! It's time that I went back to a hatch-back vehicle to make me really happy again Pics soon! Once I get settled into the new Sundown warehouse in the coming weeks I'll start on the system.

Hey guy. I just received some pics of my new enclosure that is going into the KIA. The enclosure is tuned at 41 Hz for SPL, and 35 Hz for daily with the insert.
