Sundown Audio

I was wondering if you think it would be better to get a 1000 or 1200 for a daily driver. I'm putting them on 2 15 BL's ... any idea's on this? the pro's cons to both?

Is it supposed to come with it or do you have to use your own? Just asking b/c i just got mine and there wasnt one.

Here are some vids of my nightshade 18". I have a autotek mm4000.1 now(videos are with ap3000). Im wired @ 2ohms, after rise it see's 6 ohms, with 2400 watts. I did 150.7@42hertz, at the headrest. This was done at meca world finals. Comments appreciated, just wanting to see what people think. And here's a tiny hairtrick, not bad for a single sub.

Im planning on getting 2 15" NightShades v2 and was wondering if I should go with 2 saz2500s or 2 1500s. i know SD underrates just about everything so what do yall recommend? Also what else should I get as in electrical. how many batts and im guessing i would need a HO alt? Ill most likely do the big3 as well.

What would cause and amp to automatically pop all 3 fuses when the ground and power and hooked on. Like as soon as the power is put on the fuses blow. I just took the amp out of my car. It was working wonderfully. Put it in a friends truck today and this is the problem we are having. Please advise. thanks

Ok, You NEED to Get Ahold of the Wire thats Inside of the SAZ3000D's.... It has Cursive writing on it, and It's Obviously TOP-NOTCH Wire! I Need Like 200ft Of it in 1/0!

Wish me luck. I have been so busy at work this week that I just started rebuilding last night. Still got to hook up my amps and batteries then its time to test. I have 9 people in my M2 class and 5 in my DB2 class. If the build comes out as good as I hope I should be bringing home a couple of six ft trophies.

This is the latest (and hopefully last) redux of my F-150. 2 days ago i replaced that old, OLD pioneer head unit with a clarion flip out(vrx765vd) but im unsure as to where i put my amp rca's, i mean it has like 4 pairs on the back of the head unit.....right now i have it on "non-fader output terminal" should it be on "rear audio output terminal"? it also has "front audio output terminal" which i didnt use for obvious reasons.......sorry for the newbish question....but this was my 1st reciever install!!!!! oh, and the box in the vid was a first too....got anxious so i didnt sand/paint/carpet anything but honestly i kinda like the "raw" look.....besides the glue smear lol also another question, if i may.......do you think interna…

quick question about running 1 sub to a 1500d. in the owners manual its shows the way to wire 1 sub up a little weird. does it really matter which terminals you use?

Okay is Sundown going to make a bigger amp for 2010? I'm just curious because now their is a 4500D, will their be a 6000D?

whats up, i was wondering if i could get the recommended cuft for a 15 inch nightshade. the thing is im planning 4 15 nightshades in a wall, but only will have a little over 10.4 cubes after discplacements, so around 2.5 per driver. or do you think i should just do 4 12s in that space, which do you think will get greater output. and this will all be powered by 2 3000ds 2 3800 kinetiks and iraggi 260amp alt.

all 16 tweets............lol the 16 mids will be powered by 2x 100.2s (8 mids per amp) i was going to get a 100.4 for all 16 tweeters, i think i came up with a 3.3 ohm load per channel (4 mids per channel) each tweet is 3 ohms, DMM reads 3.3 ohms.... what would be the best way to do this? really dont need more than 25w per tweeter at most.

What kind of power would I be looking at with 2 1500D's strapped at 3ohms? I've got an HD315 DVC .75ohm each. I can either run the amps at .75 or 1.5 each. This is a daily driver, no burps, played reasonably loud 90% of the time. Friday's after work it gets played stupidly loud, so I can unwind on the 20 minute ride home. That's the longest amount of time I play it that loud, usually around 20 minutes. I don't really understand impedence rise, but I know it will effect what the amp really sees. That's why I wonder if .75ohm per amp would be ok for my situation. Or would 1.5 each be safer? If so would it be that much of an increase in power over my current single amp at .…

need specs b/c im designing a box for my 2 10's and dont have them here at college. so i need the depth of the sub and the cut out diameter. and also i plan on porting them and tuning them to 28hz. what is the recommended volume of the box for each sub at that frequency? i know it states 1.00 - 1.25 ft^3 @ 30 - 35 Hz Ported on the 10". but what is the optimal for this situation? thanks

maybe I will implement a project to obtain a maximum pressure result in music. I finally got the amp installed and I have to say I am VERY happy with it. It is clean and crisp. I am rinning 4 infinity kappa 6.5 2 way speakers. I got the shipping conformaton on my saz100d so it will go in next week. I just wanted to drop a line and to say this thing rocks. Anyone wanting to step up their system but dont want to go real big this thing is perfect. It was way louder than I expected. Good job Jacob.

Both my 1500D & 100.2 is getting hot under normal operation. Not so hot I can't touch 'em but pretty warm. The 1500D is pushing my SS RL-p D2 at 1ohm & my 100.2 is pushing my comp set at 4ohms. I run 1/0 wire to both & they are in an area where they should be getting a sufficient amount of air for cooling. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Thanks guys.
