So they arrived a couple of days ago but my lazy roommate hasn't gone and picked them up yet. About a week and a half ago I talked him into order a pair of 10s to replace the current Kenwoods under his backseats in the GMC Sierra. Today I finally got fed up with it and went to the front office to pick up the pair of Sundown SA-10 D4 B-Stock we ordered from Jacob. So the lady goes to the back to get them and calls me in for help because she claims they are "really heavy". I was thinking to myself, no way are these things THAT heavy. So I go to lift them both up and almost shit my pants. I did NOT expect the weight they have. Jacob sure fed these subs their Wheaties! On top…

I just wanted to post a thread saying thank you to Jacob over at Sundown for some excellent customer service. It could not have gone any better. Story: A few weeks ago I started to have problems with my SAE-1200Dv1. It was mysteriously jumping in and out of protect. I tried to troubleshoot myself but could not get it working, so I sent Jacob an e-mail for some assistance. He asked me to verify my voltages with a DMM and everything checked out alright. However, the amp was still going into protect. After about a week of troubleshooting, trying to avoid an RMA, he decided it was best to just send the amp in. All I had to do was give him the invoice from where it was origina…

Hey guys, Looks like we lost alot of database information in the upgrade process. I was able to re-post both Sean and Loyd's test results. If anyone else has anything to re-post I would appeciate it greatly. Eg: SAE-100D photos and whatnot The new forum has lots of cool new features and we are back up and running now!

So I had my cracked nightshade 12 reconed by Jacob to a 15 and had him add the V2 coil along with a extra spider. Honestly all I can say is Damn I have owned A lot of subs in my life, but this is by far the loudest I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. The bass from this sub is violent. I know my blazer hates me everytime I start my truck. I am pround to tell people I have sundown in my truck, I also own a saz 3500. So if your thinkin of purchasing any sundown product don't think just buy it. Great products Jacob keep up the great work!!! I will post a vid when I get home, havin problems with my droid posting the link.

I plan to get two SA 12s along with either a sax 1200 or saz 1500. I need some box dimensions and what one of those amps to get. I mainly play rap with a lot of lows if that helps. Thanks! Out of all the designs on here there are no dual 3.5^3 enclosures, and those don't list the frequency.

Happened alot faster than I thought... but the first run of motors is totally sold out as of today. If you have already paid for one you are fine (I saved yours too, Fabio) -- just did inventory this morning and we cannot sell any more than we already have. It will be a few months for more as I had to get a huge amount of amps started before the MOSFET shortage hit and also had to strengthen stock of the better selling SA line first. I will make a post when they are available again -- of course parts and re-cones will remain available the whole time. Just no new units until we get motors again.

Well, my wife entered the truck last Saturday because it looked like it was going to be a small show. Shortly there after the other cars rolled in and although a smallish show we had to go up against 5 other cars. She took home 2nd in sound quality against the likes of Audison, Hertz, Zapco installed cars. We would have been trailing just behind #1 if it wasnt for some gain hiss and a turn off (mechanical) pop....JAKE you need to get this problem handled. (amps in the cabin and it is indeed mechanical noise). Other than that, with 1/2 hour of tuning and a 2nd place finish is prety nice. We are seriously thinking about doing SQi @ West Coast Regionals (my comp car is …

Don't mind the title but it made you look.. Well I must say my sundown is GREAT, my pioneer SPL 12" D2's sound great but was lacking in bass race today. So am pulling them back out ( I just got them in yesterday ) and want to run 2 15" so I can get the numbers I am looking for 145+ run in 139.9 class, but my problem is do you think 2 FI BL's D2 on a sundown 3000 at .5 ohms before rise would be ok or is that going to be to much for the BL's for a 30 sec bass race run? If the 3000D is to much for the FI's I have would one sundown nightshade D2 with upgrades be better. I am sure the 2 15" BL's would be louder right due to cone area. Reason I am thinking the BL's is because…

Currently running a 3500 at 1ohm. Haven't clamp metered it yet but what sort of voltage should i be seeing across the speaker terminals. Reason i ask is sub sound awesome at 71-72v but one notch more on the vol sends it up to 75v and I loose output and the sub makes a fart noise. Cheers your brother from across the water.

Today we had a gathering in hawaii with some other audiophiles.. some veterans and some new... I asked one of my fellow Sundown users to come down and demo the amp (a sundwon-3000D on a fully loaded 18" BTL)... No chit man his system was the biggest draw... everyone was gathered around his truck and wanted to just stick their head by the window.... Ride Truck x-treme (I think didn't really notice) 18" fully loaded BTL Sundown saz-3000D Iraggi 260 amp alt Kinetik batteries... The 18 BTL was a freaking monster and the sundown 3000D is a freaking BEAST........ With the windows fully down on both sides, we were doing hair tricks with GUYS LOL.... Picked up a pair of 3000D's. Will be powering 2 DVC 4 ohm subs. Would there be any benefit of strapping and running a pair to 4 ohms over running just a single to 1 ohm? Output? Efficiency? etc? Any thoughts?

ok to start off i have a 99 s10 ext cab, with a false floor in the back, under it is a saz 2K, and a 125.2. i started with only about 1" of air space above the amps before the floor, then i found out the 125.2 was getting soo hot i could not even touch it, but would never go into thermal (protect). also that was getting that hot within a 10-15min drive. i also found that it only got hot at high volumes. so today i raised the floor up 3/4" i have about 2" of air space now above the 125.2, i also added right beside the amp blowing over it, a 120mm and a 80mm fan, on the other end of the floor i have a single 80mm blowing over my 2K, as i found it really didnt get that hot. …
