Sundown Audio

Any idea how soon this model will be released? Since my upgrade to three subs I'm in need of more power and would like to stay Sundown. I'm limited however to a pair of amps that have no more than a 750watt power rating @ 4ohm and 200a max rated current draw each. The 2000s should fit perfect. I'm looking to upgrade this summer in about three months or so. Will they be out by that time.

Hello i have a small question when strapping 2 1500d's is 26 inchs to far about will it hurt performance i am having alot of trouble fitting everything in my hatch was hoping to stack the amps but just dont have the room so i was wondering if i could put 1 on each side of the box and still keep them strapped or if i should just divide the box into 2 chambers and run the amps unstrapped would like to get some you guys opinions

Well some peeps sent me up a nightshade to play with (Thanks Travis and Eric!!) well on with my results thus far. Box is my standard "scrapy" box, 2.7 cu ft with one 6" aero tuned to about 39 hz where my car peaks at 42 hz. Car is a 1997 Chevy Cavalier z24 I have 1 yellow top battery under hood and one kinetic in the trunk. the results are: dB drag: 148.3 bass race: 147.3 Midwest spl: 149.5, 149.3 on video Usaci: 150.6 Street beat: 149.2 Now i have an saz-3500 to throw on it, we will see how far this jumps

My next build will consist of 4 SA-8's with whichever coil options I need to see either a 1 ohm or 2 ohm final imp. Box will be 2.4^3 net tuned to 32Hz subs up port back. I already have an AP15001D so I could get a second and make an AP30001D. Would be cheaper than the AQX2500.1, but I don't know if the 8's will take 750 a piece daily. I know the AQX2500.1 would be pushing it already. I have ran double rms to an AA Chaos 15 with my AP15001D without any problems. So I know how to watch my system for signs of stress and properly control my volume and gain. I plan to get two SA 12s along with either a sax 1200 or saz 1500. I need some box dimensions and what one of those amps to get. I mainly play rap with a lot of lows if that helps. Thanks! Out of all the designs on here there are no dual 3.5^3 enclosures, and those don't list the frequency.

Happened alot faster than I thought... but the first run of motors is totally sold out as of today. If you have already paid for one you are fine (I saved yours too, Fabio) -- just did inventory this morning and we cannot sell any more than we already have. It will be a few months for more as I had to get a huge amount of amps started before the MOSFET shortage hit and also had to strengthen stock of the better selling SA line first. I will make a post when they are available again -- of course parts and re-cones will remain available the whole time. Just no new units until we get motors again.

I am offering up people to listen Sundown products in Centrla/S. California. I am now a firm believer in Sundown and am willing to let anyone that wants to listen to my SQ orientated truck running the 100.4 and 1500D. Keep in mind this is a SQ truck with the ability to get to decent loud volumes. I am a Sq compeitor and hence my reasoning about setting up Sundown amps in that fashion. I look at it this way, if I can make it sound good, REALLY GOOD, and do it at 2 ohms and not take advantage of dropping the impedence for full power then I think you can imagine the "output" with full power. OK I just got my amp from DB-R today. All I have to say is that this thing is beautiful but frightening. Still waiting on my Fi 15" BLs. This is my first upper class amp. So all of you well experienced bass heads what should I expect out this amp?

Just wondering if any of you guys had posted up a comprehensive review of the nightshade?? I've searched the forum a bit but haven't found much info on it other then its loud!! I was looking for any reviews in like the daily driving aspect of it/how it sounds/comparable subs/things along those lines. Hoping to see a good review up if you guys could!! Unless I missed something when I was searching through, but I couldn't find a full product review on it! So far things look good, but I was just hoping to see a bit more details about the subs listening style and how it sounded in daily driving.

I just wanted to post a thread saying thank you to Jacob over at Sundown for some excellent customer service. It could not have gone any better. Story: A few weeks ago I started to have problems with my SAE-1200Dv1. It was mysteriously jumping in and out of protect. I tried to troubleshoot myself but could not get it working, so I sent Jacob an e-mail for some assistance. He asked me to verify my voltages with a DMM and everything checked out alright. However, the amp was still going into protect. After about a week of troubleshooting, trying to avoid an RMA, he decided it was best to just send the amp in. ok,im running a 1500d to 4 12's.my voltege is dropping from 14 to 11.8.its killing me and i know i need a altenator.ive got a deka intimadator under the hood and was wondering if someone could help me w a altenator.would a 240 amp be too much and what kind.also what kind of batterys are best to put in the back?im planning on buying a second 1500d later in the year and need every thing set up right!!thanks for all responces!!!

i have 2 12" nightshades and their getting very hot and smelly after about 30 secs to a 1 min of playing, and no low end my system consist of: hu: JVC kw-nx7000 sub: 2 12" D1 Sundown Nightshades sub box: 4 cubes @ 34hz, kerfed port sub amp: 2 audioque 2200ds strapped battery: (front)Duralast Gold;(back) 2x Deka Intimidator g31 electrical: Mechman 270a, big 3 in 1/0 gauge knu flex i cant figure out whats going on. i hooked them up to each amp (not strapped) and doing the same thing. it doesnt get as hot, but still gets hot and no low end. it sounds like my ssf is set to 34hz. anything below that is inaudible (ssf is set to around 25). and they bottom out vey easy

maybe I will implement a project to obtain a maximum pressure result in music. I recommend a good project to be over 156db music media? obviously with sundown audio components there is any competitor who has made some system for this type of race? component and results? what advice? band pass?classical wall installation? 4 nightshade 18" 4 saz-3500D? 6 nightshade 15" 3 saz-3500D? 8 sundown Z15 4 saz-3500D? or?
