very sad day today... so im rerunning some wires in the car, and i open the trunk and see this..... so what happen was my oem radio i had laying in the back, somehow slid itself perfectly between the box and the trunk wall. everytime the sub moved, the metal edges on the radio cut deeper and deeper. so jake i will be in contact, to get a recone! 15" D2

Well, my wife entered the truck last Saturday because it looked like it was going to be a small show. Shortly there after the other cars rolled in and although a smallish show we had to go up against 5 other cars. She took home 2nd in sound quality against the likes of Audison, Hertz, Zapco installed cars. We would have been trailing just behind #1 if it wasnt for some gain hiss and a turn off (mechanical) pop....JAKE you need to get this problem handled. (amps in the cabin and it is indeed mechanical noise). Other than that, with 1/2 hour of tuning and a 2nd place finish is prety nice. K got my saz-1000d today. Now I know on other amps to get the most out of it you need to bridge the 2 channels. Now on this amp do I need to do the same? I noticed it doesnt have it printed on the amp. You know what I mean. Pos of 1 channel and neg of 2nd channel. I have it wired to a 15 fi Q with bp option in a sealed box. sub is wired amp pos to 1 side then bridged over to the the other pos. same for neg. I think this presents a 1 ohm load to the amp.

Can a SAX100.4 handle an 8v input. The deck I plan on using is an Eclipse CD5000. I just want to make sure so I don't burn the inputs on the amp.

Just a quick question on the Saz 3000d is it a MINIMUM for a 300 amp fuse or is it it MUST be a 300 amp fuse? Thanks, Julian

Im gonna get 2 Fi BTL 12s 2ohm DVC and Im going to be getting a 3500D, whats the wattage at 13.8-14.4volts? would it be able to put out about 3500wrms for the subs? Or would I be better off with two 2000Ds? p.s. Ill have two batteries, big3, and all the electrical I need.

I have only had stock car audio so far in my cars and they always state their wattage here and there but, i am curious, what is 100 watts a channel really like. Im going to be buying speakers with a 90db sens and rated about 150 watts max around 70 or so rms, and well, what is it really like compared to a good stock system. Home audio wise, 100 watts is enough to really push high quality towers with beautiful sound, but then again, they are in enclosures which really compliment them. Car audio, a bit different. Hi- I was wondering if it would be more efficient on my electrical to run two 1500d's or one 3000d. I want to get as much efficiency with the current draw as possible. Any ideas? Thanks.

as the title says, Im looking for 2 drivers that will perform well in 3.8-4 cubes tuned 35-38 hz off a saz 2000, nightshades are a little overkill I would say, how about those new drivers SA12's?

Does this sub compare to jl sound quality? I'm looking to replace RF T110's in a sealed box , to something in a 2-12" ported box. I listen to a variety of music( rock, rap, metal, some country, etc) , just trying to find something that sounds good and will get pretty loud and still sound good. Power wise probably going with the RF T1500-1.

Okay, I think I have it done, my electrical will consist of a 300 amp alternator (Iraggi), A Powermaster S1200) up front, (2) D1200's for the trunk, all wiring for batteries and amps will be 1/0 ga., Subs will be (4) of the SA-12's powered by (2) of the SAZ-1500D's. This is all going into the back of my 2001 Camry, with the box designed by banginAltima (as soon as he's done) so hopefully the Mad Scientist of SPL (Jacob Fuller) will be proud of me

Ok I am runnign the single SD1v2 sealed in my MINI and it sounds great! I also have 4 more and was thinking about running them ported off of a 1000d or a 1200d in my wifes car or my 4runner. Any suggestions for a ported enclosure for 4 of them? I have 2 4" areo's to use, how much airspace for the set? Thanks all! David

I understand the concept of bridging and individual channels and the impedences that the amp handle. What i dont understand is that load that would be created in a 6 channel tri mode on the 100.4. I am planning to get this amp and rainbow slc 265.25 ng's for my fronts and rear doors and they are 4-ohm comps. Np with that but i was peaking at the manual and noticed you could do a 6 channel tri mode and if i added mid bass or subwoofers, what wattage and impedence would be put onto the amp. This is a concern because i don't want to ruin any speakers that i add. I am really trying to create a good sounding system, i care more about bass created by speakers than having to…

I'm going to go ahead and have my SAE 1200 run a DC lvl 4 12'' sub. I haven't decided on a front stage yet, I'm looking to run an active 3-way midbass//mid range//tweeters I think I'm going to go with the SAX 100.4d BUT I need another amp! Should I use the SAX 100.4 for the mid range and tweets? or the tweets and midbass? or the midbass and midrange ????? And what other amp should I use? SAX 50.4 bridged? or ... ? suggestions and explanations why please

I may just be overlooking something, but i can't seem to find enclosure recommendations or sub displacement. And it says that it has 2 inches of xmax, so 48mm? I may be wrong, but I think there is 2.4 cm in 1 in. which means 24 mm=2.4 cm.

Here's a couple vids of Team Outcast - Ms Cookie doing some Bass Boxing in the Crx with four Sundown Audio sa-12s. Those subs were beating hard. 1st round totally sealed 2nd round driver's door open For those that don't know Bass Boxing consists of three rounds playing music for 30 seconds each time. 1st round sealed, 2nd round driver's door open, 3rd round both front door's open. Then average the three scores.
