Sundown Audio

  1. Started by cx-7heaven,

Just bought an saz-1500d off ebay, and I am anxiously awaiting it, as I have heard many good things. I'll be replacing a Audiobahn a3201t that I've had for 3 yrs, pushing 4 mtx thunder 5500 10's. One question though.. will it have full manuf warranty since it's been refurbed by factory, or not? Thanks

Today my buddy offered to buy my eD Nine.1 and I am really thinking about selling it to him so I can order an sae-1000D. I have a 15" Q no options with a 4 cubic ft box tuned to 30 HZ. I am thinking about it because I was reading a topic a few days ago and they said that they swaped a 9.1 for a sae-1000D and there was a noticible increase in sound quality. I would have bought the sundown had I know about them at the time. I was just curious if you guys thought I might really notice a difference between the two. I may end up doing it just because I would feel more comfortable with the quality of the amp. And I am not really happy with the 9.1's sound quality...it…

The SAZ-3500D is the successor to our extremely popular SAZ-3000D model. It is not only more powerful but even more reliable than the SAZ-3000D based on years of research in the SPL lanes and in the hands of regular customers. You will not find a better 3500-watt Class-D amplifier anywhere! Sundown Audio only recommends this amplifier for experienced users with an upgraded alternator and additional batteries due to the enormous power output potential. Hello Jacob, I have 4 XS Power D3100 as secondary batts and a Yellow Top under the hood and a DC Power 320 amp alternator (strongest the company makes for me) and both of my SAZ-3500Ds are going into protect when I compete.…

ok so i'm purchasing 2 18" BTLs and really considering getting 2 of these amps.. heres my question do i get 2 Dual 2ohm BTLs and run 1 on each amp at 1ohm @ 1500 watts rms each OR do i get 2 Dual 1ohm BTLs wire them parallel on the 2 1500s strapped @ 1ohm to get the 3700 watts? how efficiant is it to strap these amps? and are there any other worth while scenarios that i should consider? I will be getting a 300amp alt and as of now i only have 1 yellow top, will i need more batteries with that big of an alternator?

This is probly a frequent flying question, but I was wondering if somebody could lead me in the right direction. I'm getting a 15 Fi Q sub, and I cant decide on which sub would be best for me. I'm mainly looking for SQ since I know that it will be loud with either amp. I'm not looking to go into any comps or anything like that. thanks.

I have a PDX-4.100 amp and I use the front two channels for components. I want to use the back two channels (200rms x2 bridged) for SD-1 subs. What would be the best combination of these subs for me to use to get the best bass? I can spend up to $250.

  16. Ok, so I did an install for a friend in his 2009 Honda civic with a Sundown NS V.2 prototype and a sundown SAE-1200D and we have encountered sort of a serious problem. It seems as if there is some sort of a current draw coming from the amp when it is turned off because if he leaves his car off for more than 24 hours the battery is so drained that it can not start the car... The amp is definitely the problem because whenever I take the fuses out of the amp the car works perfect and there is no current draw. The amp also is completely off whenever the car is off (I checked) and is connected to the ACC fuse for the remote turn on since the car has a stock stereo system. I am…

  18. Specs are per 8 subs 1/2 of the box, I used bb6 to calculate a box prism w/ a truncated edge, and basically doubled it and put both sides on top one another. Fb is actually the f3 on the picture, and the calculated fb for three 34" long 2"x10.58" ports @ 2.392 cubes is 45.26, but I did not take into account the flared aspect of the alligator mouth style of this box, but added it's length to the port length...so it kinda is a mystery.

Hey guys I recently found out about sundown audio and everything I read so far is most impressive I was wondering if any of you do active competitions with the Sundown amps. I am in he market for new amps and I need serious power because my 2 15"s will handle 6000+ watts easy for burps a piece and finding amps is not as easy as one would think. I am trying to get a better picture of the capabilities of these amps. please inform me Thanks Phil
