Sundown Audio

  1. Ok, so I did an install for a friend in his 2009 Honda civic with a Sundown NS V.2 prototype and a sundown SAE-1200D and we have encountered sort of a serious problem. It seems as if there is some sort of a current draw coming from the amp when it is turned off because if he leaves his car off for more than 24 hours the battery is so drained that it can not start the car... The amp is definitely the problem because whenever I take the fuses out of the amp the car works perfect and there is no current draw. The amp also is completely off whenever the car is off (I checked) and is connected to the ACC fuse for the remote turn on since the car has a stock stereo system. I am…

OK I just got my amp from DB-R today. All I have to say is that this thing is beautiful but frightening. Still waiting on my Fi 15" BLs. This is my first upper class amp. So all of you well experienced bass heads what should I expect out this amp?

This is probly a frequent flying question, but I was wondering if somebody could lead me in the right direction. I'm getting a 15 Fi Q sub, and I cant decide on which sub would be best for me. I'm mainly looking for SQ since I know that it will be loud with either amp. I'm not looking to go into any comps or anything like that. thanks.

Congrats go to Luz Carter, Team Sundown Audio/Image Dynamics in the MECA SOUND QUALITY Stock class format. She went undefeated this year and pulled off State finals by a close 1/2 point. Sundown isn't just for the knuckle draggers anymore. lol

The SAZ-3500D is the successor to our extremely popular SAZ-3000D model. It is not only more powerful but even more reliable than the SAZ-3000D based on years of research in the SPL lanes and in the hands of regular customers. You will not find a better 3500-watt Class-D amplifier anywhere! Sundown Audio only recommends this amplifier for experienced users with an upgraded alternator and additional batteries due to the enormous power output potential. Hello Jacob, I have 4 XS Power D3100 as secondary batts and a Yellow Top under the hood and a DC Power 320 amp alternator (strongest the company makes for me) and both of my SAZ-3500Ds are going into protect when I compete.…

  6. by looking at your products alone you know your shit about subs. i have a pair of 10's i had built for me a couple years back 60lbs each so there is some serious magnets on them. the bl/re in series is only a 92 im guessing this is due to the coil. if i had it rebuilt to something with twice the motor strength what could i see in output diffrence? current coils are round copper 8layer not sure on what the rest of the specs are. i know they could use a spider spacer for more travel they will hit the top plate before the coil can bottom. is it possible the charge is weak on the magnets?

i only have one sub which is RE SE d4... according to the picture i will have to connect both the positive to the box. and only one to the negative. so from box... it's one + and one -... and from amp it's + - - + So i would connect all both + on the amp and then connect it to the sub. and only one to the negative?

Hey you guys are really imformative on these forums. So recently I installed my new system that consisted of a Fi BTl 18, SAZ 3000d, HO alternator(220amp), Kinetik 2400 in back, all 0gauge wires, big three all in a Nissan Pathfinder. And recently I would be listening to music and then the subwoofer would cut out and there would be no output. I inspected the sub and it looked fine. I switched the sub with a JL and it did the same thing. Played then cut out. I checked rcas, ground and also checked to see if the speaker wires r hooked up right. I switched out the 3000d with a Alpine amp and it worked fine. If you guys got any input or advice i should try please let me…

I am thinking of dropping my two 8W7's for one IDQ12. If it's a 2ohm sub, can I use one of my 125.2 to power it? How would it hold up (and how much power) bridged at 2 ohm?

decided to try an sa15 out powered by channels 3 and 4 bridged on my 200.4. 900-1000 watts roughly. this box is 3.8 cube after displacement with a single 6" aero 17.5" long tuned to 31ish hz lol. 17x31x17 is the dimensions. not shooting for huge numbers just wanted to throw something in my gas saver daily driver. 1991 civic hatch behind the seats. so ill still have full function of my rear seats. eventually ill buy a round over bit to round over all the edges but right now this is where its at. not sure how long ill be using the box cuz im sure someone local will decide to buy it just like every other box i seem to build haha.
