What would you compare the output to 1 12, 2 12's, 1 15 (all on same power ~1500 rms)? I know this is install dependent but just curious as too a rough estimate what 4 SA-8's on 1500 rms would be comparable to in output. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I havent been on the forums for a long time.. too long.. haven thad time to compete in a while either but I have been using my 18'' nightshade and 2 saz1500s for my daily system untill the other day it just quit working.. I pushed in on the cone only to realize that it was completely locked up... odd but it happens... so i took the woofer out of the enclosure to find the top sulg on the motor had complete broken in half and was off center.. iv never seen this happen so i figured id share... its a sad day as i cannot afford a new motor in the near future...

The molds completed a few days ago and the first samples rolled out -- here are a few of the first look photos from our basket manufacturing company! I am super excited about the potential these will bring to out larger woofers. Once our new spiders, cones, surrounds, and spacers are all tooled we can really show off what these are capable of -- those parts should have completed samples as well soon too. These things carry some serious heft... the base plate that bolts to the motor is 9mm thick un-painted compared to 5mm on most 4 and 12-spokes and 8mm on the Ti-18 frames (add about 0.5mm for paint). Just a general question about wiring the amp. For the terminals for the ground and positive how did you guys affix the wire into the terminal. Did you guys solder the tip of the wire and then screw it down or did you just insert the bare wire and then screw it down? Thanks guys.

Here is the situation. Just bought a 2003 Jetta GLI VR6. It had the factory option for the Monsoon sound system, which included an amp in the trunk powering the components in all four doors. The previous owner put in an aftermarket Double Din Kenwood DDX418. It isn't the best deck but does what I need to right now. The mids and highs sound better than what I expected, but I am missing the lows. I am not looking to shake the neighborhood. I just want to hear a more full sound that can handle my varied taste in music. I listen to everything from Squirrel Nut Zippers, to the Gravediggers. I worked all day yesterday getting my Maxx-Link working properly. I'm 99% positive it was an issue with the outputs on my old head unit. Now I'm trying to get everything fine tuned perfect and there are a lot of adjustments on this thing. My only concern is what to set the ouput of the Maxx-Link to? Its currently set to 5v but can I go higher? Will the 1500s take the full 9v output? I checked the owner's manual but didn't see it listed. Also since I'm not using the br output to strap the amps, do I still need to gain match them? How does that work? I'm used to only setting one amp and now its like I have to set both amps and the Maxx-Link which is driving me cra…

I just recently bought new speakers and hooked them up to my 100.2. The first week everything went fine until about a day ago I get a random noises coming out of my speakers. With the sound completely down on the HU and even a different mode with no audio source selected I get this high pitched whine or sometimes clicking coming from my speakers. Once I hear it I shut it off immediately. I checked the ground, remote, and power wire and they are all hooked up and connected fine. All the speaker wire seems to be intact at the back by the amp and upfront by the actual speakers, but I haven't checked underneath the carpet yet. If I turn the volume up on the HU the music…

im thinking about being done with the idea of twelves all together what do you guys think one sundown 18 or two 15's can they handle two 3000ds strapped daily at 2 ohms. i wanna move some air they will be going in 88 delta, but i have a 92 honda accord also which i have thought about using i am wanting to get in to spl wich would be a good starting point.

Does anyone have an idea of about how many amp the 1500d pulls at 1ohm while going from 14.4 to around 13 volts

Okay so im going to buy a whole new system in a year or so but for the mean while i have 2 kicker CVT, a boss amplifier 1600 watts peak, a optima yellow top battery this is all in a 4 door F-150 2007 under the back seat except the batter, and i fell like its not loud, is there any way to improve, it i have the factory radio i dont know if that plays a factor i dont think so but if any body knows how to improve it please help me maby theres a way to port the box or something

Jacob, any chance of us seeing Sundown home audio amps in the future? I know you make some great bang for the buck car audio amps and I'd love to see that carried over to the home audio side of things.

Anyone trying to call me my phone IS NOT working at the shop. AT&T is taking their time fixing it... I've had no dial tone since last Tuesday afternoon. I was gone most of the time and was hoping they would fix it but hey have not... have called several times today from my cell with no results yet. Apparently I have to pay outrageous pricing for "commercial grade" service but they have all day to fix my problems.

Setup 1998 Ford Explorer. 4 DD9515 D2, 12 Kinetik 2400, 1 Kinetik 1800(front bat), Missing Link, DC Power Alt, Kenwood KDC-X8120. 23Cu.Ft. Enclosure tuned @ 39Hz. Right now on burps starts at .4 dcr rolling the volume at note it rises to 1.12Ohms @ 49Hz. 71.5 volts, 63.7 amps, drops to 13.2volts dc. If my calculations are correct that would be 4554.55 watts. Current score 157.6 @ 49Hz outlaw.

Every message I sent today was rejected by my server... just got all of the errors all at once at the end of the day. Something is up and they seem to think I sent over 100 e-mails in one hour... so until I can figure out what is going on it may take me longer than normal to reply. I can still RECEIVE emails no problem, though, so you can still send me a message... but this problem seems to have made email not work on my Blackberry as well and I have to log into my Hotmail to send any messages... so response time will be up. Well saturday night I decide to go out and put some music. I noticed my 2000D blue light no longer turns on (the one on the amplifier). Sub works so amp still working. What could have happened? Why? and Should I worry about it?

What would be the best box for a Nissan 350Z, I can't decide whether to go with 2 SA8's or a single X8, I will be powering it with an Arc Audio 2500CXL which puts out a little over 1000 watts.

I just got around to starting the install of my 50.4 I am still waiting on some parts to complete it. When I took it out of the box it has been sitting in I noticed a burnt wire smell. It seems stronger on the side where the crossovers are. Is this just because it is new and closed up in the box and fresh soder? It shows it was tested before packaged and I know Jacob said he tests them all. It is new never installed bought at SSA so I'm not worried about warrenty issues. I am just wondering if I am a little paranoid. I won't have everything for it unitl the end of the week so that will be the earliest I will know anything.
