So... I've been suffering with horrible front speakers ever since I sold my BMW 325i a few years back. Due to the nature of the audio business I have been implementing SPL system in my Jeep (the whole reason I got it) and neglecting the front stage. NO MORE! Finally something decent... Finally after almost a year in the making, here is a clip of my setup in action. The port is in the middle so be aware there is noise in the video from all the air these 10's push out. ok so i'm about ready to buy my amps. i will have 4 15" fully loaded 1 ohm btl's in about 16 cubes tuned to 32hz. but before i buy the amps...can a 3000d handle a pair of fully loaded btl's @ 1ohm? only time it will get turned up loud will be for competition burps. maybe to turn up for demos for friends . other than that it'll be regular volume, so nothing strenuous. i have a 200 amp H/O alt atm, couple extra batteries (will upgrade to some kinetiks in the future), and i'm getting a solid 14.3/14.4 volts. i may try to add another alt if money allows. also...would bass race be out of the question with this setup? to prevent burning up the amps? i'm kinda going out on a l…

  5. First one is complete. This should take care of alot of common and uncommon questions about our woofer dimensions. I am looking into printing them at full scale on our packing boxes as well. I'll be adding them to the X thread when the X drawings are done and will also add them to our site for pretty much every model woofer we make.

What's the highest voltage I can give a SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4? I'm giving them between 13.8 and 14.2 volts in park before voltage drop and the lowest I've seen it drop is 13.2 volts while playing at max. I'm considering a voltage regular for my EA 250A alternator. I may be adding another 1000D btw.

Greetings Folks, I'm in the process of upgrading my setup to 2 RE Audio SX15's and I'm on the verge of crossing over into Sundown's territory by powering them with a SAZ-3000D. The amp will see a 2ohm load. I have no intentions of competing but I want to shake things up whenever I get the urge (usually when cops aren't present). Would this be an ideal amp for these subs as a daily driver? The subs are going in a 8 cube CRX box tuned to 34hz. The vehicle is a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Thanks to all for your views/replies!!

I worked all day yesterday getting my Maxx-Link working properly. I'm 99% positive it was an issue with the outputs on my old head unit. Now I'm trying to get everything fine tuned perfect and there are a lot of adjustments on this thing. My only concern is what to set the ouput of the Maxx-Link to? Its currently set to 5v but can I go higher? Will the 1500s take the full 9v output? I checked the owner's manual but didn't see it listed. Also since I'm not using the br output to strap the amps, do I still need to gain match them? How does that work? I'm used to only setting one amp and now its like I have to set both amps and the Maxx-Link which is driving me cra…

Just got done unloading the trucks... the 15s and 18s are here in stock for the first time. We have additional 12D2 models for any over-flow overs as well. Any 10s either coil or 12D1 we'll still have to build until the next shipment. Also some X-18 in D2 and D4 were on the truck as well as re-stocking quantities of SA-10/12/15 and SD-2 10/12 woofers.

I am currently running a Kenwood eXcelon KAC-x40 for my comp set and I have had no issues with any whine or hum coming through my comps. However, yesterday after swapping out my SAE-1000 for the SAE-1200 I now have a whine in my comps when I plug the RCA's into it. With the volume at 0 the whine is still there. I think it is odd that I am getting a whine in my comps when plugging the RCA's into my sub amp. When I remove the RCA's from the SAE-1200 the whine goes away completely. Any insight into this would be more than appreciated. Thanks!!!! Head Unit: Kenwood DNX-5120 4-Channel RCA's: JL Audio XB-CLRAIC4-18 2-Channel/Sub RCA's: JL Audio XB-CLRAIC2-18 Power &a…

We did an updated one today with an SA-15 never dropping power under 700 watts and even increasing to close to 1000 watts near the end : "My clamp meters weren't set quite right up until about 1:45 and we come online reading power at 838 watts (remember we have been seeing power for a while already this is just where I get a good reading)... at 2:45 dropped to 754, at 3:45 dropped to 725, at 4:45 dropped to 722, and at 5:45 dropped to 709 -- so here we are at about 40% over rated power on a sine wave with only 15% power drop over 4 solid minutes. We decide that the driver hasn't been strained yet so crank it up to 790 again at 6:01 then again to 851 at 6:20 then again a…
