Hello Every Body, I already spoke to Jake about this and I asked him not to mention it until I was ready. But here it is. I finally....finally....FINALLY....got to test two SAZ3000D's in a dbDrag street A application. Now this is kinda crazy but here it goes. I first tested one amp at 0.25ohm by itself. The results were 71.3 amps, 52.1 volts gave 3714.73 watts with a box rise of 0.73ohms. The amp continued to go into protect after 2 seconds into the rolled up burp. I then tested the amps at 1 ohm the results amps: 38.5 volts: 78.3 watts: 3014.55 box rise of 2.03 Second amp gave 2939 watts with same box rise. Hey I was wondering if I was giving my speakers the most power I could give them. See I have the Sundown SAE-1200D installed and I have a Autotek Mean Machine 100.4 also installed. The sundown has a 150 amp rating and the autotek has a 70 amp rating. My power wire is 0 GA but I still have my old 100amp ANL fuse on the line from when I had 4 ga power wire...the ANL fuse hasnt blown for the 2 weeks Ive been playing my system and I usually have it close to or it not at full tilt. Shouldnt those two amps have blown that 100Amp ANL fuse if it was playing rated RMS???? The autotek is 100 watts x 4 and you all know what the 1200 does....

Hello, I have just purchase a SAZ1000D but I wonder if this amp really accept 0 gauge power wire? I have 0 ga from the battery to a distribution block in the trunk, then 4 ga to my 2 amps. Is it good enough for the Sundown I'm waiting for? Or do I have to change the distribution block to power the new amp with o ga wire? Btw, how long should I wait for the tracking number, pleaaaaaase?!!!! Thanks

Hey all, getting ready to install a 3000 I picked up (will install in about a month) in my 07 f150. I have a yellowtop g34 up front, was planning on running 1 deka intimidator outback and upgrading the alt to a 200amp powermaster. Would this suffice for daily driving or should I look into a 2nd intimidator? Will never be played with the truck off. Reason I'm going with the intimidator and not the powermaster batts is I'm cheap and they look good for the money. Last, does powermaster have a dealer network, or if I'm lookin for an alt do I need to go directly to powermaster? thanks! -bud

what do i need to power this amp correctly?

What electrical setup do i need to power a sundown 4500d at 1 ohm? What size alt? what wire size? what size battery? how many batteries? what battery brand should i get? Thanks, Mike

hallo im using alpine 9855R with sundown saz1500 on dual genesis audiophile 30.01. my problem is when i connect rca to the regular INPUT connection even on full gain the subs almost not move but when i connect rca to the BR connection the subs working great but i dont have control on gain etc.... what can be the problem?

on the e8's what does the e stand for?

So I'm running Sundown 100.4 with fronts and backs with no problem for last month or two. But I have a problem with 125.2, I just hokked everything up and this amp that feeds subs is turning on and off constantly, as soon as there is a bass in the song it hits very quiet, barely noticable and amp turns itself off, but as the bass dissapears in the song amp turns itself back on, and it's like that throughout the whole song, it will literally turn on and off maybe 20 times in 1 minute. hello guys i have a question that i want to here your input on..... i have a 100.2 that i just recently got from jake.... last night i added a grill to my sub box, thats it. i then played some late night tip to check for clearance. at this time my mid basses were playing. my 100.2 running off low section on my 3 way on my 880 prs. the sub amp then daisy chains to the 100.2's outputs. Today i get in my car and noticed as i turned my car on and put my book bags in the back trunk, that the 100.2 wasn't turning on, it just constantly stayed in protect while my other 3 amps played including the sub amp using the 100.2's signal outs. i got home today and tried to see if maybe i…

I recently installed my SAZ-3500 with two FI BTL and everything works real good, I then connected the bass knob when I turn the bass knob down to the minmum (no maximum) the amp goes into protect. Help please I really like to have control of the bass. What can I do? And, why does it do that....

ok well there is nothing wrong with amp except for the fact that it draws soo much power them most accessorys in my car turn off when the amp trys to hit a real low note. my deck will shut off and so will my radar detector, which is hooked into the ciggy lighter. so im wondering what i should do, im thinking that its from having a lack luster electrical system that is not able to supply the car, and the amp with all the current needed to keep everything running smoothly. the odd thing is the car itself will run just fine with no problems at all. so i was wondering if i should run the subs at 8 ohm each for a 4 ohm load so the amp will draw less untill i can afford some el…

So just got back from college and still having problems with my channel 2 on the amp. The tweeter goes on and off when i drive. It comes back after i shut the headunit off for any given amount of time - could be quick could be long. I checked the connection of the speaker and saw that it was not solid so i replaced the speaker wire and fixed the connection; nevertheless the tweeter still does not play. Any ideas? I have tried the same speaker on channel 1 and it works fine.

Hey everyone, bought my zv3 months ago and finally got around to installing it. I had an old sealed box that I threw it in, it's on the large side at about 3.7 cubic feet amp is an saz1500v1. Problem is that when I turn it up to really get the sub moving I get loud sharp cracking noises and an occasional pop! It sounds really good at lower volume but cranked up it starts to go crazy. Any ideas? My gain is at about half bass boost at 0 it sounds like it bottoms out but I couldn't even get my type rs to do that off this amp??

So... the SA-8 is pretty badass... but I want something louder. Starting on this project : Yep... a Neo 8 with a 3" coil and 22mm linear one-way excursion (that is XBL^2 that you see) and x-mech of 27mm on the frame I'll be utilizing. Will handle around 1000-watts RMS without much trouble thermally and mechanically. Tooling new spiders and cones just for this driver. Going to see how it turns out... but simulation predicts motor force more than 300% higher than the SA-8 if all turns out according to plan.
