I was checking out the sundown SA-12's on this website and was wondering if there is a build time for the marked down subs? And as far as the RMS rating goes is it underrated like the Fi subs? Also would a 2.3cuft box @ 34hz with about 25 square inches of port be ok? Here is the link: My link

is it safe to buy a refurbished amp? im planing on buying a bnew sae1200d but i saw that dbr is selling refurbished amps. and iam thinking on buying a refurbished saz1500d. whats the down side in buying refurbished amps? aside from its already used. any suggestions?? thanks

I already have 3 sa12s. i want to add 3 more subs and add another amp. If i were to buy 3 sa-15s to add to my system would the box need to bey chambered between the two different size subs or could they all be in on chamber? and anybody know if jacob started back taking people for team sundown?

The 10" 4 ohm model just came in today so I decided to take a few pictures of them all together. We've had the 10" in 8 ohm for some time now. I would like to know exactly what it takes on voltage wise and battery wise to run my 3000ds at .5ohm daily to my 2 15" BTL's. Or what would be the best way for me to go to get excellent power from them 3000's. Any input would be great, strapping or wiring to .5ohm since when you factor in imp rise and all that. Sent in my design specs to the factory today for an SA-8 driver. Will move down to a 2" coil, though, so we can fit the proper spider on the frame. Coil will be 33% longer than the E8 coil and will feature all of the SA-12 cooling features. Frame will be 12-spoke rather than 4-spoke as it works better in the 8" size. May have pics in a few weeks Motor dimensions are similar to SA-12 except for it is narrower to more easily fit into an 8" woofer cut-out. Power rating 400-500 watts RMS. As for the X8... I may start from scratch on it due to the difficulties of using a 2.5" coil on an 8" driver.

so i ended up getting back the first pair of sundown subs i ever owned, my first team subs.... they are a pair of nightshade V1 first run OG chrome spoke 15s .... now one has a fresh recone.. and one needs to be reconed.. they have just been sitting here collecting dust.. and i keep telling my self im gonna recone the bad one.. then ill sell them as a pair.. maybe..... i think im personally attached to them .. and thats my hold up.. i have a guy that asked me about buying 1... and seems how i need to buy a new deck.. i said fuck it.. ok .. ill sell the good one... for 300 ..... hes offering 250 i know these are pretty rare subs now.. and im asking yal…

hi, i have a opportinty to get 2 12w7 ( svc 3 ohm) for cheap ( 500 for both) and i am looking at an amp for them before i get it and i would like to stick with 1 amp for price and i am wondering what does the saz1500d do at 1.5 ohms and also i have a 200 amp alternator. hc1400 under the hood and a hc2400 in the trunk and it is all connected by 1/0 guage wire and the other amps i am going to have 2 eclipse xa4000 amps to give you an idea of the power for the amp. i might add another hc2400 if i can get a good deal on it,

ok so i'm purchasing 2 18" BTLs and really considering getting 2 of these amps.. heres my question do i get 2 Dual 2ohm BTLs and run 1 on each amp at 1ohm @ 1500 watts rms each OR do i get 2 Dual 1ohm BTLs wire them parallel on the 2 1500s strapped @ 1ohm to get the 3700 watts? how efficiant is it to strap these amps? and are there any other worth while scenarios that i should consider? I will be getting a 300amp alt and as of now i only have 1 yellow top, will i need more batteries with that big of an alternator?

hy i build a enclousere for my sa8 ( second model v1) it has 36 liters and a 16 cm aeroport which is 40 cm long. the tuning ist around 60 hz for db drag. i thought it woud play a bit deep ( 40 hz ) in this box but nothing , its loud but i dont want to hear lmfao ( thats the only music its play loud) . 40 hz and lower nothing goes . now i want build a music box , tuning around 35 hz . some infos for port and box volume ? want back to jezzy and trae , thats my stuff , please help

what cubes should i be at and the hert tone? i was thinking about 1.3 tune to 32 hertz off of a 1000 watt amp any help would do thanks, looking to build a box later today

Ok I have 1 3k and a 100.4. I have a yellow top under the hood and 2 Kinetik 2400 in the rear. The problem I have is there is no one that makes a alt for my car. I do plan on adding a second alt where the ac compressor but that going to happen at tax time. What I need to know is how many more 2400's I would need to run a 4500. Right now my voltage doesn't drop below 12.5 at full tilt on music. My stock alt is a 90 amp and does 14.5 cold and 13.9 hot. My batterys rest at 13.3. I hope this all the info needed to come up with a answer.

So I'm running Sundown 100.4 with fronts and backs with no problem for last month or two. But I have a problem with 125.2, I just hokked everything up and this amp that feeds subs is turning on and off constantly, as soon as there is a bass in the song it hits very quiet, barely noticable and amp turns itself off, but as the bass dissapears in the song amp turns itself back on, and it's like that throughout the whole song, it will literally turn on and off maybe 20 times in 1 minute. Don't mind the title but it made you look.. Well I must say my sundown is GREAT, my pioneer SPL 12" D2's sound great but was lacking in bass race today. So am pulling them back out ( I just got them in yesterday ) and want to run 2 15" so I can get the numbers I am looking for 145+ run in 139.9 class, but my problem is do you think 2 FI BL's D2 on a sundown 3000 at .5 ohms before rise would be ok or is that going to be to much for the BL's for a 30 sec bass race run? If the 3000D is to much for the FI's I have would one sundown nightshade D2 with upgrades be better. I am sure the 2 15" BL's would be louder right due to cone area. Just swapped out my US Amps for some Sundown Audio amps. Sad to see the ol' faithful US Amps go, this was VERY hard to do. I must be a responsible sundown dealer and use the stuff that I sell. I did consider slapping a sundown sticker on the US Amp heatsinks. Old install I still have an Fi Q12 and the Sundown SAZ-1500D is my first ever class D amp. I metered at 140.5 db. Pretty damned good if you ask me for the bass eating BMW trunk. A 2.3db gain since I was metered using the sub brand new with a super stiff suspension. Measured by a termlab in the pass side kick panel. Peak freq was 47hz. The reading might be a little higher since I was inside. Electrical: Stock…

hi, i got around to measure to see where i can mount the amps that i am about to get. and it looks like i am going to have to mount the 1500d on the enclosure. now the enclosure is 3/4 mdf with bracing. i figure if i mount the 1500d on a 1" thick mdf board then mount that to the enclosure that will be enough to limit the vibrations and any other problems with mounting amps on enclosure. so will that be enough or should i go thicker.

Today my buddy offered to buy my eD Nine.1 and I am really thinking about selling it to him so I can order an sae-1000D. I have a 15" Q no options with a 4 cubic ft box tuned to 30 HZ. I am thinking about it because I was reading a topic a few days ago and they said that they swaped a 9.1 for a sae-1000D and there was a noticible increase in sound quality. I would have bought the sundown had I know about them at the time. I was just curious if you guys thought I might really notice a difference between the two.
