So I have been thinking about going to 16 volts. What do you guys think? How much more power should I expect to see from the 1500's?

I ordered a 3500D and now looking into purchasing a second battery. I currently have an older group 34 optima yellow top under the hood, 1/0 gauge wire ran to the trunk and the big 3 done. I'll be buying a 200 amp alt soon as well. I'm having a hard time deciding on which battery is the best between the Kinetik HC3800 or the PowerMaster D3100. I'm unable to find the complete stats on both. Some stats I have found, the Kinetik has 135AH and the PowerMaster has 117AH. The Kinetik is rated for a 3800 watt system and the PowerMaster 4000/5000+ watts. I havent been able to find CCA or CA for either although I did find the PowerMaster is rated for 3,200A Max Amps. The Kinetik …

Hello All, Im finally going to install my amp I bought a few months back and have a few questions. Let me start by telling you were Im at. Im going to be installing an Sae-1000D amp powering an RE SE 10" rated @ 600watts @ 2 Ohms. I also have a 4 ch PPI amp bridged 160 watts running my front components. The car currently has 4 ga wiring. Would 4 ga still be enough to run the 1000 and PPI amps. Also what size fuse should I use for the power wire. Thanks in Advance, Mike

  7. I have just installed my saz1000D : wow !!! I had a JL A1800D (650 watts at 4 ohms), and now the Sundown at 1 ohm. I was not expecting such a big change in output!!! It's'another world !! Couldn't be happier Now my Icon 15 is playing loud, low, and always sooo clean. But I wonder what to do with the remote provided : is it for the gain? Is it for bass boost? How to use it? Please, let me know.

Setup 1998 Ford Explorer. 4 DD9515 D2, 12 Kinetik 2400, 1 Kinetik 1800(front bat), Missing Link, DC Power Alt, Kenwood KDC-X8120. 23Cu.Ft. Enclosure tuned @ 39Hz. Right now on burps starts at .4 dcr rolling the volume at note it rises to 1.12Ohms @ 49Hz. 71.5 volts, 63.7 amps, drops to 13.2volts dc. If my calculations are correct that would be 4554.55 watts. I just got my saz 1000d amp and saw that it had 2 sets of speaker outputs labeled A and B. Do i only need to use one of them for one sub to get my full 1000 watts or both of them?

  17. kinda gettin out of car audio at the moment, will be back as soon as the big boy 15's are out to work on a diff setup.... the amps have been used playing time about a 1.5-2 month span with a small scratch and a inset screw missing on one of the amps, which can be had very easily, two ns 12s.... one works perfectly and one is in need of a recone. also 2 9a31 dekas that were barely used and never mistreated.... will be putting up pics very soon. both amps purchased from rob eldridge and subs straight from jacob himself. will be posting this info in the for sale section tonight w/ pricing of course.... will definantly be using sundown again.... awesome products!

I was at a show this weekend and was gonna meet up with a friend up there. When I got there, my friend and his friend were working in the trunk of his car on his amps. I asked what was wrong and he said that his amps were clipping, so he was unstrapping them. Then he said that the Sundown amps perform better unstrapped. He had them strapped at one ohm, and unstrapped at .5 each and said they do better unstrapped...I'm not too sure on his electrical by the way. So my question is, is what I was told true? Thanks.

Ok, the last couple of shows I've been to I have been down a few tenths. 157 at the Vinny, 156.9 this weekends Madvette show. I know my voltage has been an issue, but I'm working on that. So I discovered (by accident) another way to wire my subs to a lower load, and my amps don't go into protect.

my friend has 3 single voice coil 4ohm pioneers and he asked me what would be a good amp and i recomended a sun down SAZ-1000 but it would be ran @ 1.33 ohms on around 12.9 volts. each sub is 400 watts RMS so thhats 1200 watts RMS. i was wondering if anybody could tell me about how many watts the sundown would put out under these sercumstances. i dont how much extra power the pioneers could handle so i would like the RMS a lil bit lower then 1200 just to be safe. they r also a few years old.
